"Huh?" On her hand was a paper with four directions:

'Follow The North Star'

'Follow The South Star'

'Follow The West Star'

'Follow The East Star'

"Huh? That shitty teenager who sent me to this world!! Why f*** can't he tell me where I am supposed to go!" Taking a deep breath, Ema looked at the piece of paper again, crumpled it, and threw it away in a rage.  

"What was the first direction again? North Star right? Then I will just go there after that I will see" Muttering to herself Ema followed the North star.

 On her way out of the forest Ema realized something and that something was very important if she wanted to figure out her power...and that was she didn't know what following the North Star meant. Standing defenseless inside a forest at night Ema made up her mind to head towards the nearest town to ask for direction.

_Few Hours Later_

"Water...I need water...and food" She breathed out with great difficulty. She had walked for who knows how long and she didn't find a single town and it also didn't help that it was night making it difficult to see properly.

"If I die again...I am so gonna kill that bastard..and why do I smell food?" Like an animal, she began sniffing the air to find the direction from where the delicious scent of food was coming from.

The scent of food made the starving Ema head toward the source of the smell like a predator hunting its prey. Slowly she walked, her mouth-watering the closer she got to her prey.

"I never knew stew could be this delicious!! Like what the hell did they use to make--" Tears began to spill from her eyes as she ate the stew. 

"HEY!! WHO IS THERE!!" Just as she was about to take another bite of the delicious stew, she heard a loud intimidating voice coming from behind her. 

"I A-am so-sorry s-sir...I was starving, so when I smelled the scent of food, I just had to follow It! Please SIR forgive me!!" Hoping her apology would appease the man she began to compliment the man's cooking.

"You were hungry... Then I can't be angry toward such a cute and near-starving girl, can I? If you are still hungry would love to eat this as well?"  Guilt and fear were replaced by a sigh of relief, for a split second she was worried that the man would be angry at her for eating his stew.

"Sure!! If it is like this stew then I would love to eat it!!" At the thought of eating more delicious food, my mouth unconsciously watered up. Slowly the man walked toward the fireplace as if dragging something, the nearer he got toward me I could see the feature of the man. He had unusual red eyes, but this was a fantasy world so I didn't pay further attention to his eyes. His body was very frail, you could properly see the bones of this guy if there was proper lighting.

When he was finally a few meters away from me, I noticed the thing that the man was dragging, It looked similar to a human...Wait a human! Just as my mind had reached the awful conclusion. I prepared to run away, to get far away from this place. 

"Hey!! Lass why are you running away aren't you hungry~? You said the stew was delicious right then you would also love this more than the stew!!" Hearing the word stew, I felt like vomiting. The thought had crossed my mind when I saw the human, but I didn't want to accept what I had eaten in delight was made of human. 

Still, I can't dwell on the topic at this place near this monster, If I spare any more minutes at this place my chance to die would skyrocket. So with all the strength in my body, I started running. 

"Lass you really thought you could run from me with your pathetic human body~? You humans always have the most wildest imagination!!" How was I still able to hear this monster's voice when I was pretty sure I had run faster than I ever had? Opening my eyes I turned my head backwards to see how far the monster was, only to notice I hadn't moved an inch! I was still near the fireplace and the monster was in front of my face staring deep into my soul with his terrifying eyes.

"Pl-plle-please  Don't kill me!! I- I am terribly sorry for eating your food!! Please forgive me!" Tears were rapidly falling from my eyes, making my vision awful, but I could imagine the monster smiling at me in amusement.

"Oh don't worry I wouldn't kill you...just yet after all, It has been a while since I last ate a young girl. I am going to enjoy eating, hehehe~." Deep down I knew that the monster would say something like that after all since when were monsters capable of sympathy or remorse? Why do I have such awful luck? First I died by being hit by a bus and then met an annoying ghost teen who teleported me to this world, without telling me what my power was, and now I was about to be eaten by a monster. My life couldn't have been worse.

With one last sigh, I accepted my fate as the monster used some restraining magic to make me unable to move. After making sure I was unable to lift even my fingers, he gleefully went near the fire and summoned some chopping tools and some ingredients. 

I lay unresponsive on the ground, the only source of sound being heard was the monster's occasional grunts and the chopping of vegetables.  When I was a child I used to think being isekaied was the best thing ever! You get an overpowered ability and you also get to marry a prince or a hot guy. 

"Ahh! WHO THE F*** are you!!!" I didn't know how many hours or minutes had passed but the sound of flesh being torn open followed by the monster pain filled scream was successful in making me snap myself from my depressing thought, In a great hurry I looked in the direction of the monster again, to see him laying on the ground blood dripping from the huge wound on his chest.

"Oi! Oi! Don't scream in such a pathetic manner like you are going to die!! You are an orc these wounds are nothing for you!!" The unknown person began kicking the monster in the face and stomach as he said in a pissed-off voice.

After kicking the monster a few more times the man from the looks of it tied the monster and looked in my direction, making me blush as I finally got a good at his face.

"What's ya name?" In the blink of an eye, he was in front of me staring at me with his dull blue eyes. 

"Ta-Tanaka Ema!! My name is Tanaka Ema thank you for saving me" I would have bowed my head if it wasn't for this stupid restraining spell, but at least I get to look at his eyes.

"Hmph..What were ya doing out in the wild at this hour? Having a stupid face doesn't mean ya have to be stupid" He nonchalantly replied to my thank you as he dispelled the spell from my body.

Standing up the unknown man started to walk toward the monster but in the heat of the moment I said something unbelievable.
