"That looks absolutely amazing on you (Y/n)." Arcee says to me as I walk out of the dressing room. 

I do a spin and the dress twirls around. The dress fits my form perfectly and is eye catching.

"I think that this is the one!"

She smiles and hugs me and I do the same. I purchase the dress and get on Arcee. She deactivates her holoform and we ride back to base.

Ok, so the only reason that I bought the dress is because my high school's prom is tomorrow! I'm going with my boyfriend Derick and I am SO excited that's all I can talk about. 

Ratchet keeps warning me that I might pass out and whatnot but I can't help it. I get off of Arcee and she transforms.

 We walk to my room (yes I have a room in base, I love it) and I hang the dress to make sure it doesn't wrinkle.

My phone starts to ring and it's Derick. I happily pick it up.

"Hey babe." I greet cheerfully.

He hesitates before answering.

"Hi..." I frown.

"Is everything ok?" He doesn't answer.

"Derick."I say sternly. 

Arcee walks in her holoform with a questioning face. I shrug and wait for a reply.

"I found someone else. I'm breaking up with you. Goodbye."

He hangs up and I can't move. The phone slips from my hand. My vision blurs as tears form in my eyes.

 I scream and Arcee sees this and quickly she comes to my side and sits down next to me on my bed.

"(Y/n), what's wrong?"

I let out a choked sob and bury my face into her shoulder and huddle up into a ball. She immediately wraps her arms around me and rocks back and fourth.

"He- b-broke up with me." I whisper in between sobs. 

"Oh (y/n)."

I huddle close to her and start to cry more. She soothingly rubs one hand on my back and the other wrapping around my front. Ratchet in his holoform runs through the door and comes to my side.

"Arcee where is she hurt?"

She kisses the top of my head as I bury into her more.

"Her heart."

Ratchet takes out his stethoscope and presses it against my chest. Arcee hits his arm away.

"Derick broke up with her."

Ratchet let's out an 'oh' and takes it off my chest. He sits down next to me and rubs my back like Arcee was doing. In the next half hour, the news spread around base rather quickly. 

I somewhat calmed down, but I was still curled into the side of Arcee. The last thing I remember that day was me yawning then falling into a long needed sleep.

~Next morning~

I become aware of my surroundings as I wake up. I yawn and stretch out across my bed. My feet are met with the freezing ground as I get off the bed. I put on my slippers and make my way to the door. 

I walk to the cafeteria to find everyone eating...lunch? Great, missed half of my day and better yet, I decided I wasn't going to prom. 

I pour myself some coffee and sit down next to Arcee where all of the autobot's in their holoforms were sitting. I rest my head against her shoulder and take a sip of coffee.

"Sleep well?" She asks. I nod and take another sip. 

"I am deeply sorry and angered for your breakup (y/n), he did not deserve you in anyway."

I smile and take my head off of her shoulder.

"Thanks Optimus."

"Are-you-still-going?"Bee asks. I sigh and shake my head.

"No, my friends all have dates so I couldn't hang with them, and I don't want to be the lonely girl in the corner."

He understandably nods. 

"It's better here anyway, we're more fun than any humans." Sideswipe comments. 

"That's for sure."

I hang with the autobots for sometime until I excuse myself to my room. They say their goodbyes and sorries to me. 

I wave to passing soldiers on training runs and give them smiles as they do to me to. Opening the door to my room, I walk in and close it behind me. The dress catches my eye and I sigh, turning and getting on my bed.

 My friends are blowing up my phone trying to get me to answer back. I text 'Derick broke up with me so I'm not going, you all have fun.'

 I immediately get all of these replys like 'I will kick his ass' and 'I'm so sorry (y/n)'.

I'm on my phone for another few hours until I'm down to 2% on battery. 

I check the time. 5:45. Prom starts at 8. I sigh, I really wanted to go. I found the perfect dress, had the perfect plan, everything was perfect.

 I walk over to my dress and feel the fabric. It was beautiful, and wasted. No refunds. I saved up all of my money for this one night! I hear a knock at the door.

"Come in!"

The door slowly opens to reveal Ironhide in his holoform. 

"Hey (y/n)."

"Hi, what's up?"

He looks over to my dress.

"That's really pretty."

I look over at it to and sigh.

"I agree, but now it's a waste."

"Maybe not entirely."

I furrow my eyebrows and look over to him. 

"Huh?"

He takes a deep breath.

"I...could take you."

My jaw drops and I have the biggest smile in the world. Did he just ask me to prom?!

"You would do that for me?!"

He chuckles at my excitement and nods. I run up and hug him.  

"You have no idea how much this means to me!"

He hugs back.

"Glad I could help."

I squeal and race out of the room.

"ARCEE!!!!!!!! ARCEE!!!!!!!!"

I race over to her holoform that is washing her motorcycle. She stands up with a worried expression and quickly runs to me.

"What's wrong?! What happened?!"

I'm jumping up and down and talking as fast as I can.

"Ironhide is taking me to prom!"

She grabs me in a hug and I hug back.

"That's wonderful!"

We have a small celebration of jumping and squealing together until Ironhide inturrpts. 

"If you don't want to be late, I suggest we start to get ready."

I turn to Arcee.

"Tell every mech to find Ironhide a tux and help him get ready over the com."She nods and does so. 

We then race to my room and she starts my makeup and hair. Next we put on the dress and I find a pair of matching heels in my closet. We finish a while later and I look at myself in the mirror. My hair is styled in a high bun with pounds of hairspray packed on. 

My makeup is breathtaking and I think I actually look pretty for once. The dress looks amazing with the heels that I found.

"My work is done here." Arcee says from behind. I turn and hug her.

"Should we go see if old Hide' is ready?"

I nod and we walk out of my room to see all of the soldiers at base crowded around my room. When I walk out, I hear wolf whistles and clapping. 

I can't help but laugh and smile. All of the soldiers are like my family, they know me best. Epps comes out of the crowd and hugs me and I hug back.

"I didn't think you could look any better than me, clearly I'm wrong."

I laugh and nod.

"Thank you."

I hear an engine roar and everyone turns toward the GMC Topkick parked a few meters away. The driver door opens and out steps a very dressed up Ironhide. He has a sleek black tux with a white flower in his front pocket. 

His hair isn't as crazy as it always is, it's styled not to fancy, but not to crazy. I walk over to him and can't help but smile.

"You look awesome."

He smiles at the comment.

"And you look amazing."

I blush and he offers me his hand. 

"Shall we?"

I nod and he is about to lead me over to the passenger side until Arcee stops us.

"Wait! Picture time!"

We stand in front of his truck form and he wraps an arm around my waist and I put a hand on his broad chest. The photoshoot ends and we drive off to my high school.

~7:55, At the high school~

We arrive in front and park. He helps me out of the truck and we walk arm and arm to the entrance. I see Derick with his 'new girlfriend' standing at the entrance watching us. 

I give him the middle finger and Ironhide makes the slit throat motion.

We walk in and see the gym all decorated for the theme 'under the stars'. The celing has a starlit sky wallpaper stretched across the whole gym and all of the food is space themed. 

The photo area is lit by a star canopy that seems like you can reach up and touch one. We grab a drink and talk for awhile, laughing and enjoying each others company. 

We decide to go dance and I am surprised, Hide has some pretty awesome moves. I can hardly breathe I'm laughing so much. The song ends and the DJ comes over the speaker.

"All the couples out there please join us at the dance floor for some slow dancing!"

"Do you know how to slow dance?" I ask Ironhide. He nods.

"I have watched movies from time to time."

He puts an arm around my waist and pulls me close. I put an arm around his neck and the other takes his free hand. I look up at him and he looks down at me. 

"Thanks for taking me Hide, this night is amazing."

He smiles down at me.

"I found this the perfect chance to tell you."

I furrow my brows as we continue to sway to the slow beat. 

"Tell me what?"

He presses my forehead against mine.

"My feelings toward you."

As if on cue, we both come together and press our lips against the other. His kiss is soft and full of feeling, I never want it to end. He tightens his arm around my waist as I'm against his chest and I pull myself closer. 

We slowly pull away and look into each others eyes.

"I feel the same way."

We share another kiss and continue to slow dance throughout the night. I rest my head against his broad chest and hear his sparkbeat.

The prom starts to wind down and people start leaving. We make our way outside and feel the crisp air against our skin, well, mine at least. 

He helps me into the truck and he gets in also. I look over at him and he looks over at me. We didn't even have to speak a word and we were on eachother in an instant. Reaching over the middle consol, our lips meet again and my arms are around his neck and his arms around my waist. I stumble out of the kiss and fall onto his lap.

"Your so beautiful in this dress, I can't imagine how breathtaking you would be under it."

I playfully his him on his chest.

"Not until we get back to base you dirty old man."

"Old man?" He laughs.

"I can work wonders with this body, I'll prove you wrong."

He plays with the strap of my dress and smirks. I smirk and run my hand down his chest. 

"This will be fun." I say as he starts to drive back to base with me in his lap.

That was a long one! Geez I didn't realize that it was that long lol

I have had a whole week of exams and another whole week this week. Break starts on Friday!
