the world... is lost

Transformers Prime

But first... Here's a background story. Oh, and do not fear, the scenario with the Transformers and such will come in later. Just read the backstory first and then the scenario, please:

It all started as a project. A project that one scientist in particular was working on. A human scientist. His name became popular very quickly, it was something that was on the news, newspapers, ads, everything. What people didn't know was how that one project, turned to be so harmful, so very, very quickly.

Dr. Leroy was his formal name, but now he was known as the person who destroyed humanity, or perhaps the world.

A project that had hoped to make humanity immune to - well almost everything, destroyed the world. It destroyed not only humanity, but also nature mother's long rule of order among her creations. It almost just about destroyed... well everything. No. Not almost.

It did destroy everything.

A harmless flu shot is how it begun. A shot that rich people paid to take only because, this flu shot in particular was very, very special. It contained something a normal flu shot wouldn't have. Something to make humanity not die out so quickly, immune to all of the so likely deaths you could run into any day of your life.

Nobody noticed anything at first. At least, not until a few months after the shot. Of course, that's how it all starts out, though. Right?

So one day you're feeling fine and the next you're throwing up in the toilet. That's how it was.

They warned people of the side effects. Of course humans being humans... didn't take it all too seriously. But then, who would've known?

Who could have guessed the side effects that destroyed the world?

It begun with dizziness, a stomach ache, and perhaps a small craving for meat, like everyday.

The next step was throwing up blood, skin beginning to peel off, your mind almost needing meat, your teeth begin to sharpen slightly, and often staying in bed all day.

The third step was an absolute need for human contact, or perhaps something for the living flesh of humans. Losing your mind and often not able to walk without stumbling, and coughing up blood.

Now the last step, of course, included needing human flesh, losing your sanity and control of your body, and turning into well... a zombie.

Of course the side effects at the first and second step were not very bad. Anybody could have mistaken them for a cold, or something a little stranger than a cold, considering the skin peeling off. And by then, they had released the flu shot to people with less money.

So, pretty much dooming the world into an apocalypse. A world full of zombies. How ironic.

However... some humans have survived. Humans are not idiots, even if they do seem like it sometimes. But when the world turns into a zombie apocalypse, apparently that is how you bring the best out of even the worst people.

People have built safe places. Sometimes you can find a group of people wandering down the street with weapons and backpacks and such. You can find dead zombies everywhere, even some humans that are buried among the rubble.

Again, how ironic and cliché.

Scenario (Human):

Trapped. That's how you felt at the Autobots base. Well, trapped isn't the right word, perhaps. Just cut off from the world. But that was - as much as you hated to admit it - the best thing to be at this time. Humanity's extinction.

And it didn't even come from the Decepticons... what a thought to behold.

No, it actually came from one of your own kind. Luckily, yourself and the three other humans had not gotten that wretched flu shot yourself.

The Autobots had not allowed any of you humans out of their sights, not even Smokescreen had allowed you guys to go anywhere outside of the base. Apparently a world apocalypse was enough for all of the Autobots to go full on protection and guardian mode - even though they were already like that from the beginning you and the other humans had met them.

Even Optimus was on high alert, but he always seemed to be on high alert, he was now just showing it. You had not seen the destruction of Jasper, or of the world. But you had seen the news. And the talking...

It was so horrible. The cameras showed something you had never thought would happen to the world.

Trashed. Gone.

So here you were with the three other humans, inside the base. You wanted to go out and explore, but the Autobots had been so serious... so strict, you didn't stand a chance.

Even Miko took them serious enough that she didn't try anything. Nothing. And it had been months since the outbreak.

The world is lost, and there was nothing you or even the Autobots could have done. Unless you went back in time and stopped Dr. Leroy.

But seriously? Time travel? It may be possible. But then again, who would have thought alien lifeforms such as the Autobots and Decepticons would have invaded Earth? Who would have thought that such advance alien lifeforms would even exist? Robots that transformed into cars. Ha. What a thought.

And yet, here you were. With three other humans that had no idea if any of their family members had survived.

The Autobots had gotten a message from Fowler, but it had been a few months back, and by now everybody had presumed the Agent was... well, dead.

That Jasper was gone.

Forever.

You and the other humans had not left the base since the outbreak. You and the others had been in the base when Agent Fowler had messaged Ratchet to turn on the news, and then the Autobots went into full project 'protect-the-humans' mode and had demanded that you and the other three stayed there.

So, what now?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

You may do this with a Cybertronian, of course with an altered scenario from a Cybertronian point of view on the outbreak
