Chief Burns P.O.V

On our route home, Cody was seating in the passenger seat, quietly staring out of Chase's window. It's long drive home, so I let him be reckoning that Cody would probably fall asleep.

30 minutes later

As predicted Cody fall asleep on the way home.

" Sir if I may ask, why does Cody seem so down," Chase inquired me

" I don't know partner, we'll have to wait and find out " I explained softly

When we arrived home I stepped out of Chase when I spotted the others appearing from the garage

" hey dad " Kade called

" shh Cody's asleep " I whispered

" wait Cody is home," Dani let out

" yes, but he fell asleep on the way home," I announced as I carefully left Cody out of Chase and start to walk up to his room.

I got there and place Cody on his bed, pulling his covers over him while setting his jacket I just slid off Cody to the bedside table, with a soft kiss on his forehead and left him to sleep. I walk down the stairs to the family room to have some dinner and resolve any questions the older three may have. I got my dinner and began to take a bite of what I believe is meatloaf.

" So how does everyone like my meatloaf " Dani declares

with that us, boys look to each other all saying it is satisfactory in silent agreement not to upset the one that can take us all out, as I endeavour to swallow the bit in my mouth.

" OK you can ask any questions now " I announce once I completed the rock, sorry meatloaf.

" has Cody attempted the new gadget " Graham lets out

" yes and he adores it "

" why did the Doctor let Cody out after only waking up three days ago," Dani inquired

" I don't know precisely why but I speculate it's because Cody was doing well added to the fact that he can get around by himself "

" Wait by himself " Graham implored

" Yes, he apparently woke up sometime in the night to test the new machine by himself. Any more questions " I confessed

I was replied with no's all around the table as we started to talk about various aspects of how we can assist Cody, one being that we prepare part of the stairs as a ramp. Which we accomplished right away as it was a simple thing to accomplish with lengthy wood. I also explained what the doctor had informed me of for Cody's condition and went Dani out to get the main supplies that will need. Then we went to bed for the night, but not without one last check in on Cody.

The Next Day

Cody's P.O.V

I aroused to find myself in my own bed inside the firehouse. I close then my eyes to recollect the last evening, remembering the roads and trees going past so I must have fallen asleep inside of Chase during the ride home from the hospital. Then I am assuming that Dad carried me to my room.

I sit up to see my jacket on the bedside table, after I slide my jacket on, I slip off the bedside as I watch in fascination as the wheelchair activated. I roll out of my room, down the hall, before remembering that I can't go downstairs. Arriving at the stairs, I notice a ramp on half of it with plenty of space ether side. As I was about to go down when a memory from 'that' night appeared before me.

: The whole house was ascending in flames. I started to tremble as the memory felt like I was there now when I felt myself moving. : I awoke from my 'day terror' to see I was rolling down the ramp with no control. I quickly grab hold of the brake to slow down the chair and I stopped at the bottom in the kitchen.

I looked about to see no one in the family space, so I whirled to the left and elected to go down the left to the bunker where the bots are most likely. When I got to the bunker I saw the bots I rolled over to them.

" Hey guys," I call out

" Hey Cody welcome back, " Boulder announced

" it's great to be back, that hospital room was not entertaining and I couldn't do anything," I confess to the bots

" if I may ask Cody, but why did you appear so distraught yesterday, " Chase asks.

I didn't want to tell anyone but I might as well tell the bots otherwise I might not get over it, plus they are wonderful listeners.

" I'm upset because I'm beginning to recollect the last month of lost memories, except I have primarily been remembering the night the lava came into the bunker and the worst is that it won't go away. It keeps coming back and frightening me, so I can't move and absently frozen in place unaware of what is happening around me " I attempted to explain

I can tell the bots are having difficulty comprehending what I just confused, so I attempted to explain it in a simpler way if I can.

Dani P.O.V

I arose and elected to check on Cody when I got arrived at his room, I discovered he wasn't there so I went down to the kitchen to have a look when I hear voices downstairs. I head over to the pole to descend to the bunker, I stand quietly around the corner as I overhear Cody speaking with the bots about why he was miserable on the way home last night.

I listen in on what Cody was explaining and to me, it sounds like he has been experiencing living terrors, I'll have to clarify it to the remainder of the family without Cody noticing because I don't believe he would keep this a secret from Dad without good reason

So I go back up to the kitchen to find Dad, Kade and Graham, so I can explained everything I heard from Cody.

" How do we stop it "  Dad inquired

" We can't the only thing we can do is to assist Cody through it and hope that he gets better, " I announce

" Then that's what we will do if you see Cody and it looks like he is experiencing one of these terror's, you attempt to arouse him " Dad declares

With that, we took off to do our jobs. One my route to Blades, to go on patrol, I walked past Cody.

" Hey, Cody how do you feel? "

" Good thank you, Dani, "

" love you wheelchair "

" thanks "

and with that, I watched as Cody wheeled to the left to get some breakfast.
