I have updated this chapter and added more about Cody's paralysis, it goes in to more detail as a warning now you can skip it if wished it's just to Doctors long speech to Chief under Chief P.O.V it ends when I change it to Cody's P.O.V. Also not a doctor cost is what I could research and what I thought of.

Doc Greene P.O.V

Once I heard about Cody's accident I was motivated to make a new wheelchair I can't get it to be a hoverchair as that is a lot more tech involved and having to get it to shrink and re-grow would be more of a challenge, and most indefinitely more enjoying, but this is for Cody to help him recuperate and as Cody is not the greatest lover of tech and prefers the non-technological era, it's best to stick with the outdated model of the wheelchair. What it does is it's a small device about the size of a golf ball, that can clip onto clothing, that when you are sitting down on a hard surface it will be the small device, then say you slide off the chair the device will activate to become a normal wheelchair, then when you go to sit on a solid surface again it will deactivate, plus I installed a button that if press will activate the device into it opposite state.

I was on my way to the hospital with Frankie to demonstrate the device to Cody, so he is aware of how it works, with the plus side of not making Cody my first test subject in this invention, Frankie was actually the one to have the opportunity to test it. When we were down the hall from Cody's room we heard his Doctor described Cody's injuries to his family, which one happened to be that he is paralyzed, which I guess is a good thing.

Well for me anyway with this new device, it will help Cody substantially with him being on the rescue team he will be able to still help in rescue and get in and out of vehicles fast. Nonetheless it is awful for Cody I guess, regardless we were strolling to the room when we knocked to the Chief opening the door for us to come in.

" Hey Cody how do you feel, " Frankie asked

" Hey Frankie, Hey Doc Greene I feel better," Cody said

" So I fetched the new device I have been working on" and with that, I clarified how the mini chair functioned.

I could tell Cody was optimistic to be utilizing it. So I put the circle clip onto the back of Cody's jacket the advantage addition was that it was 100% water and all year round weatherproof, it would work all the time, with the exception of a tech dead zone. It's my best invention ever.

Cody's P.O.V

When Doc Greene instructed me what the device did, I was excited that I would be able to still help out with the team when need. Doc put the clip on my jacket, as I was about to get up when the Doctor entered through the door.

" What do you think you are doing! You are meant to stay in bed not considering the fact that you can't walk, you are to stay still in the bed until I give you permission to do otherwise!" She cried out at me

" But I was going to try out the new tech Doc Greene gave me," I announced back to her

" You can try it later, right now you need to be in bed resting or that concession of yours won't get any better. Now everyone out " she reduced her voice a bit, but she was still yelling. I sighed and got back onto the middle of the bed and plopped down while declaring goodbye to everyone, even dad had to leave so I was left here by myself. Once everyone was out the room I fell to sleep.

6 and a bit hours later

I arose and looked up at the clock it was and it is around 2.00 in the morning and there was no one around. I concluded that this is a decent time to experiment with the new wheelchair, I slide off the side of the bed and shut my eyes as I dropped to the floor hoping that the tech works. When I stop and don't feel the ground under me. I peek to see I was in the wheelchair and it wasn't high tech, it was like the original ones that we have to push ourselves which I adore. I start to slowly roll around to try it out, I had some difficulties with the coordination and turns but I adapted quickly and soon find it fun enjoyable, even if I won't walk again I could get use to it.

I roll back to the bed and use my arms to pull myself up to the bed and the wheelchair deactivates, I'm like I have such an active family and I have great upper body strength otherwise that would have hurt. I lay back down and go back to sleep with a smile on my face.

7 or so hours later

I wake up again panting from having another nightmare or as the Doctor calls it night terrors. I look up to see my dad and the Doctor coming in.

" Hey Cody how was your night " Dad asks

" Good I woke up once at around 2 and I might have attempted the new device. and it could or could not have been AWESOME!! " I say with a cheeky smile on my face.

" I expectedly told you not to, " the Doctor signing as she does a check-up on Cody's vitals

" OK you're good to go home as soon as I talk a couple of things over with your father, why don't you get changed while you wait, " the Doctor says to me than my Dad.

I watch as they walk out the door and I look at the clothes then start to take off the hospital clothes and I start charging clothes with some difficulty.

Meanwhile with The Doctor and Chief

Chief P.O.V

As I walk out the door with the Doctor while closing the door behind me I turn to the Doctor and ask,

" OK, Doc what did you what to talk to me about? "

" Alright, so I'll skip over the smaller details and just give you the straight facts as your whole family is qualified in emergency first aid and should all have the basics of what you need to watch out for.

In terms of the complete spinal cord injury, you will have to check Cody's back around the location and down for any visible signs of potentially bad cases that would need immediate care some of these include blood clots, pneumonia, low blood pressure, pressure sores, spasticity, pain, bladder or bowel infections, and autonomic dysreflexia (AD).

Are you following so far? Good, ok so those are the main signs I want you to watch out for, which you know or someone in your family knows what they are looking for? Great.

I also would like to warn you that Cody has no bladder control so you will need to make a schedule and keep to it to train Cody's bladder to go at those chosen times, it is also recommended until then to use nappy's, as much as Cody will hate it it's the better option.

The he plus side to that js that we have a device that is a belt that will tell when one needs the bathroom without being on a schedule which helps people in cases like Cody's so we will have that sent to you shortly with the instructions.

I also want you to watch out for today's mental health, as at the moment it looks like Cody has skipped the stages of grief which he should be going through, how that works is for Cody to start but it is recommended that you have him visit a therapist to help him out. It is also very possible that some of the factors that come with Cody's condition will be unappealing to him, such as not being able to take care of his personal needs and bathing on his own.

Cody may respond to you or those who are helping him with anger and refuse to accept any help. It's recommended that you all do your best to remain calm and speak to Cody honestly about how you are only trying to do what's best him. Cody may also experience some physical limitations, there may be things that Cody can't do the same way or at all without the use of his legs the best way to overcome that is to just be there and support him through it and maybe find other ways that could enable Cody to still complete that task. I would also recommend a physical therapist." The Doctor explain to me, I said my thanks got the brochures for the Doctor and walked back into the room to collect Cody to bring him home.

Cody P.O.V

I had just worked out how to put my shoes on when dad walked in

" let's go Cody " Dad says to me

I slide off the bed and the wheelchair activities and I roll out the room as fast as I could. I was happy to be out off that room it was killing me, I mean there was nothing to don't there it was just me and three and a half walls and a half of a window and that just showed the forest behind. I race down the halls wanting to get home and see my family and the bots again and to be able to help out with the rescues even if it is just in the command centre.

" Cody slow down " I hear Dad shout.

I stopped where I was and waited for Dad when he came he grabbed the handles of my chair and wheeled me out of the hospital to Chase.

" Do you need help getting in the car Cody " Dad asked

" no, I got it "

I pulled myself up with my hands and jumped into Chase just making it inside as the wheelchair disappear.

" done," I said smiling

" OK let's go home," my dad announces.
