Doctors P.O.V

i was worried about the possible damaging injures Cody could have and i didn't wont to worry Chief and his family as they don't need the add stress of what could be wrong with him when they have had to rebuild their home and still look after the town.

" how are you feeling Cody "

" OK i still cant feel my legs though, wasn't the medicine meant to wear off because i can feel pain everywhere else but not my legs " Cody asks.

which has me worried because I i think the scan may be right.

" I'll do a scan to find out "

" OK "

i run the scan and i am right, about 3/4 way down Cody's spin it has been broken in half meaning it is unfix-able meaning Cody is going to be paralyzed from the waist down. The problem is i don't know how to tell Cody or even this over protective family.

" OK Cody i am going to tell you why you can't fell your feet but first i need to ask you what is the last thing you remember, You had a nasty cut to you head and we just need to work out how bad it is. "

" i can't remember the last month. Dad explained it to me when i came to "

I was surprised that Cody already now that but it makes sense with his family.

" OK so you have a concision but you should be able to remember everything within a couple of days. " and now the hard part. " Also Cody, I need to tell you something but i don't wont you to freak out. The reason you can't feel your legs is because. " but before i could finish Cody answered

Cody's P.O.V

" Because I'm paralyzed " I could tell the Doctor was shocked that i know

" yes, but how do you now "

" i remember the tunnel door busting open and hit me in my back, I couldn't move my legs to get out after. "  i said slowly, shivering at the memory coming back slow, the fire and lava surrounding me.

" OK will I explain to your family what is going on and if your up to it there is an experimental device that could work for you. I don't know how it works to well as Doc Green invented it but it is a small device that can become a wheelchair "

I nodded my head as this might be a good thing i might be able to do rescue work still.  The Doctor nodded then left the room to tell my family, i pull myself into a sitting position on the bed and looked at my lap i was pretty upset that i wont be able walk again meaning i wont be able to do lots of the stuff i did before.

I leaned back and closed my eyes and then more memory's came back.

Chief Burns P.O.V

The Doctor had just explained Cody's injures which was a Broken wrist, a concussion and he has been paralyzed from the waist down, that is what scared me the most i had asked if she know how it happened, and she explained what Cody told her saying she didn't wont him explaining it again wont be good for him.

she then explained how Doc Green has made a device that can become a wheelchair. And with that she left to call Doc Green to bring the device over so he can explain it in better detail, and we went into Cody's room to see him tossing and turning as if he was having a nightmare, I ran to his side and started to shack him.

" Cody, Cody wake up your safe now "

and with that he woke up shaking.

" Dad "

" I'm here are you OK "

" I think "

We sat there talking while we waited for Doc Green to come with the new device.
