Amy froze to see how the truck driver launched forward, the muscle man remaining still. Although the muscle man was first to start as his fist swing towards the man's head, Amy's eyes widened to see how perfectly he dodged it by sliding on ground and over to him. He grabbed his arm, twitching it quite badly as he throwed the man into one huge rock with force, they all seeing how his body slumped on ground with groans of pain. He barely moved, so the truck driver turned to the driver and Amy.
Until; something sharp pressed Amy's throat, she gasped of the action.
"Don't come any closer, unless this girl means nothing to you." The driver groaned, Amy noticed desperation in his voice. She swallowed once, unable to make any eye contact with the man standing outside. She knew the answer.
"Let her go."
Amy now faced his eyes, his answer seeming more than bothering her.
Why.. Just leave! Idiot!
"And why should I-" The man dryly answered, tightening his grib on Amy. "You don't have anything to offer for me."
Amy knew he was right. What could possible a truck driver do to get her out of that situation? Although, he had gone that far..
The man looked right beside him, stumbling over to the other man. He grabbed his shirt roughly, pulling him up on his feet as he dragged him closer. Now he stood there, pointing his gun at his face.
Amy looked little in amazed.
"Your companion, exhange for the girl." The man required, Amy froze little bit. "You can continue your way, but you have to get out of my sight before I change my mind."
He's.. letting them go?
The man behind Amy groaned, thinking his options then. If the situation would get any worser, would the truck driver still be any help to Amy? Would things run out of hands? Amy was little freaked out of that, knowing the kidnappers rage will be put on to her.
".. She's all yours."
Amy was roughly being pushed out of the vehicle and on the hard beton road, her frame unable to move for a second. She cringed there, eyes wide, still trying to figure out what was going on. But she still saw how the truck driver groaned in annoy to them, pushing the other man also into the car. He made his way over to Amy then, for her surprise picking her up from ground and heading towards his own truck.
Amy, still in no level, moved an inch.
"Let's go!" The driver behind them yelled, his motor roaring into life as the car speeded off.
In the truth, Amy didn't care. As she made no intention to move to get in to the truck the truck driver throwed her gently on his shoulder and climbed his way up to his driver seat, opening it up. Inside, Amy smelled quite clean and refressing air brush over her as the man settled her down on the passenger's seat. Amy flinched few times afterwards, seeing how he sat down on his seat also.
"He didn't hurt you?" The man questioned, Amy barely shaking her head. This all was just too confusing..
A deadly silence fell over both of them.
.. Not like this..
After like 4 minutes just passing by, the man sighed, finally turning slowly to Amy once again.
"You want to report of this? To police or someone?" Amy knew he probably in a situation like this wanted her best, but it made her feel even more uncomfortable. Amy didn't speak yet again, but shook her head. ".. Then let me take you to your home."
Amy pulled her knees up onto her lap, curling up to a ball. She clintched her hands into fists, starting to feel once more empty inside.
I failed.
"It wasn't suppose go like this..." Was Amy's sob, which the man seemed to listen pretty well. "This wasn't suppose to end like this!" She yelled out loud, but the man never even flinched. But in fact, explored her more, seeing how from under her hoodie's sleeves formed up scars of cutting, he put that on a nod same as her black eyes, behaviour..
".. You do know self-harming won't bring peace to anyone-" Amy slowly glanzed at the man's direction, wiping her unknown tears away from her eyes. "Neither does committing a suicidal."
"How could you possibly know anything?" Amy snarled, intending to leave the truck. She put on a nod that it was locked.. and she was unable to open her door. "Let me out.."
".. I'm afraid I can not do that." The man stated, starting his truck up. It was rather soft as it started up into life, Amy's eyes wondered then to look down at the dashboard. "The best choice I have is to take you home."
"Home?" Amy questioned rather annoyingly, staring now as the man begun to drive towards the town once more. "You can't keep me in here, let me out!" She yelled once more, but saw how the man only speeded his pace.
"Your adress?"
"If I don't have home?"
The man raised eyebrow at her attitude, same as how she spoke to him. She sure had temper to be angry to him who just saved her, but what was he to judge? He if anyone, almost seemed to understand her.
"We both know you have." The man argued, Amy glared almost with dead glare back at him. "And?"
"Wouldn't you like to find out." Amy only groaned, concentrating to get her door open by kicking it or twitching it. "This is rather more like a kidnapping!"
"It's quite bad for you to say." The man seemed to be intruigided by her attitude, actions and talking. He had never met any other one like her. He earned once more a glare from Amy. "Being witness of such sceen."
"Still-!" Amy roared, managing to open her window slowly. But it soon stopped working also, she groaning in annoy. "Can you tell what the fuck's wrong with your truck!? It's almost like-!" Amy managed to get her arm out, trying to grab something from outside. "Making it's own decisions! Jeez!"
The man watched her movement from aside, it surely looked rather entertaining. He then arrived at town, heading towards the usual homes where his friends live. Close to each other.
"The adress?" The man required once more, seeing how Amy now had jumped to the backseat and intended to leave the vehicle by trying to remove his truck's comfy pillows.
"Not telling! Now let me out!" Amy began to be more frustrated, seeing how much pity the man really made of her. She slumped to sat on her knees in the backseat, slowly watching outside at the familiar houses passing them by.
.. The backpack.
Amy quickly but quietly rolled it on her stomach, opening it up. There the two knives were, same as her pills and some water. Everything she needed for her commitment. Now, it had been ruined.
Karma.. I don't understand you.
Amy grabbed one of the knife's, exploring the sharp tip of it even more. Even by seeing it Amy remembered the cuts she had made on her arms, feeling now the desire to do the same. Feeling empty, useless piece of sh*t who can't even commit by getting audience sure is pathetic. And now being stuck with a truck driver?
"Put that down."
Amy met the man's eyes from the mirror above him, he watching her now. She only narrowed her eyes, grabbing the knife more furiosly. Amy didn't care of the driver, it would be just a single tragic to die in a vehicle which her Dad once drove. By simple karma..
"Adress is 25th last house from the left-" The knife went on Amy's throat. "Say 'bye'.. to my Mother."
The truck never stopped, but the man rushed to stand up and grab Amy before anything happens. Although Amy did manage to start her cut smally, but then her knife in her hand was being grabbed and pulled away from her. By reaching to another one in her bag Amy wanted so badly to do it, but the man also pressed his knee enough to stop her arm, and not hurt her. He now remaining on her, holding her arm as she layed from the struggle between both of them now on the seat, sobbing. The man hovering on her watched her expression with sympathy, they both seeing the truck stopped.
"Why...-" Amy begun, the man remaining understandable. "Always.. Am I such a failior?"
"Stop." The man required, seeing how Amy dropped her knife and brought her arm on her eyes as he let her. She now wiping her tears away.
"Dad.. I'm sorry.. I'm so- sorry." She continued, the man felt regret brush over him. He got off of her, taking her backpack to front seat under his feet included with the knives, but remained beside her. "Praxe.. I l-love you.. I love both of you.." She sobbed hysterically now, her body shaking of it. "Just please.. come back.."
Now, the man understood. By not knowing much and hearing what the girl just said made his spark miss a beat. Her Father and probably close friend or relative had died.. now it seemed all clear. His hand went to lay on her arm, he rubbing it gently.
".. I know what it means to loose someone.." Amy looked smally under her arm, seeing how the man frowned to stare now at the ground. Now he had her full attention. "Friends, family.. but I never gave up living. Because of them, I wanted their lives to be remembered as they were and not live by grief and sadness, even though I will always remember." The man faced now Amy's eyes. "Neither should you too, important is to remember and not to think in negative mind.. otherwise it will haunt you till the end of your life."
.. Is he for real?
".. I just.. can't t-take it-" Amy sobbed, having a serious argument inside her head to tell him anything. He was a stranger, and not maybe even trustworthy! "I miss them.. too badly."
"I understand.. but shouldn't you start making them real again and not grief by them?"
Amy seemed confused, standing to sit up more to face him. She finally removed her hoodie, showing him her full identidy.
"My point, in this, is that make something for them, to full-fill promises or left taken nods. I believe their souls would appreciate it more than enough." He added, Amy now getting his point. As the both of them wondered to last events, Amy's gaze rose up.
".. What's your name?"
The man looked at her, seeing how she asked that kind of akwardly.
"You're my savior.. and I don't even know your name." Amy added then, staring down at her lap. How fool of her to not even ask important question like that.
".. Before I shall answer to your question, I have one of my own." The man strangely stated, Amy nodding once. Was he going somewhere with this? "By hearing your grieving and suicidal manner, I would like to keep an eye on you, but my important question is that; Are you willing to hear my dark secrets, to keep them as one of your own, to be part of something only few of you know and.. Do you want to belong to a Team Prime?"
Amy almost raised her eyebrow, but didn't do a thing as his face remained stern. Amy thought of that, was there such a person who would care after her? Even not knowing his name and he not hers, he wanted to keep an eye on her? And wanted her to belong to a team? What kind of?
.. That would maybe be..
Awesome?
".. I guess.. it gives me more to think.." Amy replied, seeing how the man smiled first time at her. "Now, to my question." She demanded, seeing how he offered a hand to shake to her.
"Optimus Prime, and yours miss?" The so called 'Optimus' answered, Amy thinking would such well named name exist!? It sounded so rightful for him and suited. Amy grabbed his hand, giving few tight hand shakes as she sadly smiled.
"Amy.. Amy Scarlet." Amy said then, seeing how Optimus nodded once to her. As they let go, Amy sat down more comfortably on the seat. "So, what's this so called Team Prime?"
Optimus looked out of his mirror, until he looked back at her.
"I shall give you the needed information tomorrow, when your school ends?" He questioned, Amy felt frustration brush over her.
Tomorrow!?
"I don't have, I'm working.. I'll be ready for you to pick me up at 12 o'clock." Amy saw how Optimus raised his eyebrow to her time. "I need sleep!"
He sighed deeply, but soon smiled smally once more to her. He opened the door for her, Amy seeing as he had parked right next to her house. Firstly she was going to question it, but remembered when she said her adress to him.
Right..
Amy slowly walked down the truck's three stairs until she was standing on the beton. Looking up at Optimus, she saw how he jumped down also. Almost immediately, Amy put on a nod how really attractive could a man look like. His hair looked almost like his natural blue, but that was impossible.. they really melted into his deep blue eyes. Same as his red T-shirt showed almost all of his muscles digging through, and his legs didn't seem in pretty bad shape either. The blue jeans really were into his taste, and the odd tattoo on both of his arms made Amy question it first, but they sure fit.
"And what do you think you're doing?" Amy asked, seeing how he closed his door and headed towards her house's front door then. "Optimus!" She jogged after him, growling. "My step-Dad will eat you alive, same as my Mother's gonna cook you!"
"Your word expressions aren't very impressive-" Optimus only stated, now standing behind the door. "But I do feel responsible of keeping you this long outside, your Mother maybe even lets you come tomorrow with me like this." Optimus knocked the door twice, Amy groaning in annoy.
"Seriosly? I could've just said that I got lost in the forest!" Amy argued, but smiled secretly. Optimus surely felt like the man-of-his-word.
As the door was opened, there stood Daniel, Amy's step-Father. He stared blindly at Optimus, then at Amy beside him.
"And you are?" Daniel questioned, more than welcoming for Amy's surprise. Optimus handed his hand for him to shake, smiling once more.
"Orion."
Now, Amy tried to protest something as he told her other name, but remained quiet as Optimus exhanged relaxing look with her. Yeah, his name sounded wierd, but which was the right? Or was neither of them?
"Nice to meet you, Orion. Are you possibly Amy's current..?" Daniel questioned, Amy's eyes were wide open now.
"No! Absolutely no!" Amy quickly defended, Optimus also realizing that he meant something more like a companion, or both of them being a couple.
"I'm afraid I remain just as a friend to her. Which is the reason I'm here to apologize for keeping your daughter out for so long." Optimus stated, nodding in agreement.
"Good manners you've raised, son. That's fine by me, but you young lady should prepare when your Mom comes home from the shop." Daniel warned, seeing how Amy sighed in relief. "When she found your room empty and tried to call to you, your phone was laying on your bed. Next time leave a note or something."
Oh Dear lord.. THE NOTE!
Amy's eyes widened, she quickly turning to Optimus/Orion for thanking.
"I'm sorry for being such a trouble- umm- tomorrow then!" Amy yelled, closing the door as she made her way quickly to upstairs. Outside, Optimus chuckled once, leaving the yard slowly but surely.
In Amy's room she run to her work table, seeing the note still there. Ripping it to thousands of pieces she sighed in relief, quickly running to her window them. She saw how Optimus/Orion got into his truck, seeing how he once more looked up at her. Amy showed her tongue at him playfully, closing her curtains fully.
Falling onto her bed.
What. A. Day!
