Nahko isn't really present in this chapter, but I thought this would be a great way to introduce a new autobot. Welcome to Transformers Prime Jazz. This chapter takes place during Predatory.

(Pine forest) Third Persons POV

Jazz lands his ship and heads to his armory. He grabbed some extra guns and a grenade. "Time to go on a bug hunt" he tells himself. He leaves his ship activating the cloaking system. As he looks at his scanner, he sees another Cybertronian in the forest aside from Airachnid.  Someone with an autobot signal. "Better warn them" he states and starts to follow the autobot signal.

As he was tracking the autobot. He realized they were heading for Airachnid's crashed ship. "Not good" he states transforming the vehicle mode he'd scanned before landing his ship from the sky. He speeds towards the autobot and ship, hoping he isn't to late to warn them about Arachnid. He tries to comm them, but no luck.

Meanwhile, with Arcee and Jack. They had noticed the broken trees which were a result of the crash. They followed the trail they left. They soon find a crashed ship. They crouch behind a pair of trees. "Autobot or decepticon?" Jack asks Arcee.

"Can't tell" she tells him. "Wait here" she adds. Before heading down for a closer look. Blaster at the ready, encase it is a decepticon. She reaches the ship without any trouble and enters it. When she realizes who ship it is, she goes into shock as she exits the ship. Jack notices her state and rushes towards her, calling her name.

"Arcee, what's wrong?" Jack asks her concerned.

"I know who this ship belongs to" she states. She tries to contact base and only gets static. As she scans the area for any signs of Airachnid. "Scrap. Com link's dead. The ship's got to be transmitting a high-frequency scrambler pulse" she explains.

"A-arcee? You're kind of freaking me out here" Jack tells her.

"Wait here" she tells him. She doesn't go far. Before returning and transforms telling him to get on. She then speeds away from the ship.

Jazz sees the aubotbot signal speeding away from the ship. But saw no decepticon signal chasing it. It was probably trying to get away from the ship to call for back up. Smart. He continues to the ship, hoping to be able to pick up Airachnid's trail.

(Autobot Base) Nahko's POV

"What appears to be the problem?" Ratchet ask me.

"This" I say pulling off my jacket to show him my flakey skin. "My skin has been super itchy and has been starting to peel. I've tried human remedies to try sooth or fix it. But no luck" I tell him with a frown. Resisting the urge to scratch.

He frowns and scans my arm. "According to this, it appears to be completely metal now underneath" he states. "Is your arm stiff or sore?" he asks me.

"A little stiff and it feels heavier, but I am getting used to it. No soreness" I tell him. "Any theories?" I ask him.

"Well metal is stronger then your human skin and I think the metal under the surface is getting to big for your human skin. So it's shedding" he states.

"Wait? Like a reptile?" I ask him and he frowns in confusion. "It's a sort of animal, has it grows. It's old skin becomes to tight and it sheds it. Revealing new skin underneath bigger then the last" I explain.

"Yes, that it sort of what's happening" he states.

"So what? I'm not gonna look human anymore?" I ask him scared.

"Have you noticed anything else?" he asks me.

"My hair seems to falling out, but it also seems to be growing back stronger and it feels different" I tell him. He scans my hair and then looks at it closely parting it. His eyes widen. "What?" I ask him.

"It looks almost like metal wires or cords growing from you head" he states. I look at him shocked. "My scans have not detected anything that appears to be affecting your health, I may have to use the scanners I use for us autobots soon" he tells me.

"Great, I am turning into a freak" I grumble. "Why is this happening to me?" I ask him with tears in my eyes.

"I think it best you tell her Ratchet" Optimus starts as he appears.

"Something the matter Optimus?" Ratchet asks him.

"Still no word from Arcee and we may have detected a ship heading for her coordinates. But it disappeared. I have Bulkhead and Bumblebee on stand by. If we don't hear from Arcee soon, I will send them to investigate" he states. "Now tell her" he tells him.

"Tell me what?" I ask them.

"It's about the tests I did on your blood a week ago. It revealed something abnormal for humans" Ratchet states. I frown in confusion. "You have..."

(Pine forest) Third Persons POV

Jazz reaches the crash site and transforms. He begins to search for Airachnid. He finds a trail and starts to follow it, cannon ready. He soon hears an engine behind him and turns around crouched cannon powered. But relaxes when he sees a familiar face. "If it isn't one of my favourite femmes" he states.

"Jazz" Arcee says shocked.

"See you saw Airachnid's ship I shot down. Stupid bug survived the crash though" he complains.

"You shot her down?" she asks.

"Of course, she killed Jolt. I am only returning the favour" Jazz tells her. "Want to help me hunt her down?" he asks.

"Sure do" she tells him. "I go left, you go right?" she suggests.

"Hey, you know this planet better then I do" he states. "Be sure to stay in hearing range though, I think her ship has a comm scrabbler" he tells her. She nods her and they split up. Arcee finds the first sign of Airachnid, a tree burnt by her acid. She freezes as she is pulled back into a memory. She shakes it off and doesn't call Jazz as she follows the trail.

She finds Airachnid and tackles her down a step sloop. Jazz hears and curses. He transforms speeding towards the sound. As Arcee and Arachnid circle each other. "Arcee. Small universe" Airachnid states.

"Too small, Airachnid" Arcee snarls.

"You're still holding a grudge? The war's been over for megacycles" Airachnid states. As she circles Arcee.

"Tell that to the Decepticons" Arcee tells her as she follows Airachnid's movements. Making sure she doesn't get behind her. Jazz arrives and transform silently arming himself. Ready to step in as he aims at Airachnid.

"These days I travel solo in pursuit of my new hobby" Airachnid tells Arcee.

"I got a look at your souvenir case" Arcee sneers.

"You mean my trophies? I collect endangered species. Of course, they aren't really endangered. Until they meet me. And I have a slot reserved for human" Airachnid explains.

"Not gonna happen" Arcee tells her and charges. Jazz curses as she tackles Airachnid, robbing him of his chance to shot her without hurting her (Arcee). Both femmes start to fight. When Airachnid webs Arcee's arms together, Jazz fires at her.

"What?" she exclaims. "Not you again" she hisses when she sees Jazz.

"Miss me?" he asks with a smirk as Arcee frees her arms. She fires at Airachnid again. Who fires back at both autobots.

"Two against one is hardly fair" Airachnid states.

"You never fight fair Airachnid" Jazz states. "Besides this looks like a cool planet to relax and I won't have you mess it up" he tells her. Distracting her as Arcee goes high. She then slams into Airachnid, pinning her to the ground. When we all hear rocks sliding and we look up to see Jack heading their way. Airachnid throws Arcee off of her and webs her to the wall. "Scrap" he curses and duck behind a tree as Airachnid fires at him.

"Arcee!" Jack exclaims. Jazz fires at Airachnid, knocking her out briefly. He then covers her while Jack runs to Arcee.

"I told you to wait for me!" Arcee snaps at Jack.

"Well, partners don't ditch partners" he tells her. As he starts to tug at the web holding Arcee to the rock wall.

"You're partners with a human?" Jazz asks taking his eyes off of Airachnid.

"No" Arcee tells him and looks back at Jack. "Get this through your head. You're not my partner.
You're a liability" she tells him. Jazz is so focused on them, he doesn't even notice Airachnid waking up.

"I don't believe you. I can see it in your eyes. You're afraid, Arcee, and you're never afraid" Jack states. As Arcee is pulled into another flash back. Jazz goes to step forward when he is blind sighted by Airachnid. Who blasts him from behind, knowing him out.

"You sure have trouble hanging on to your partners, don't you? We both know what happened to tailgate. But I recently picked up some Decepticon radio chatter regarding the passing of Cliffjumper. At some point you really have to ask yourself, Arcee, 'is it them, or is it me?'" Airachnid says taunting Arcee.

"Do you get it now, Jack? She's not interested in me. She hunts indigenous species, and she's on Earth. That means humans. You! Run!!" Arcee orders him and he runs. As Airachnid webbed up Jazz.

"And that's why I now prefer to work alone. It's so sad when bad things happen to those close to you. But don't get me wrong, I fully intend to snuff out your spark. Along with Jazz's. And, believe me, I will make it hurt. But that won't compare to the pain you'll feel knowing I'm adding your human to my collection" Airachnid tells her before leaving to track Jack.

"Jack!" Arcee shouts. She tries to break free. "Jazz, get up!" she yells. But he doesn't stir and she sees energon leaking from his wound. "Scrap" she curses and keeps trying to break free of webs. As she keeps having flash backs of her past with Airachnid. "Jack, I'm sorry. I never should have looked back. I should have kept driving" she states an idea coming to her.

She stretches the web as much as possible and transforms. She goes full power and the web rips, setting her free. She pauses only yo free Jazz and asses his wound. It wasn't fatal, but he would need a medic soon. She then left him to go look for Jack and Airachnid. Praying she isn't to late to save Jack.

(Time skip)

When Jazz woke up to an explosion. He got to his pedes slowly groaning in pain. He then heads towards the smoke, arming himself. When he arrives he only sees Arcee and Jack. "Where's the bug?" he asks.

"Jazz!" Arcee exclaims rushing over to him.

"I'm fine" he tells her. "Airachnid?" he asks.

"Gone, but she is now stuck on Earth" she states. Jazz looks at the burning wreckage.

"Appears I missed an interesting fight" he states. "Hey, the name's Jazz. I'm a first Lieutenant" he tells Jack.

"Pleasure sir" Jack says.

"No need for that, I hate formalities" Jazz tells him.

"You'll find Jazz is a very easy going autobot, goes with the flow" Arcee tells Jack. "Very happy go lucky" she adds.

"Nothing wrong with that Arcee" Jazz tells her with a shrug. "Lets get out of here, before anymore bugs or cons show up" he tells her. She agrees and calls Ratchet requesting a ground bridge. One soon appears and the three of them go through it. Needless to say everyone was surprised to see Jazz.

"Jazz, I am happy to see" Optimus states.

"Good to see you again boss bot" Jazz states. He looks around the room. "This looks like a cool place to kick it" he states.

'Somethings never change' Bee buzzes.

"If it isn't my favourite scout, how's it hanging Bee?" Jazz asks him.

'Things are good, you are hurt' Bee states.

"What?" Ratchet asks and walks over to Jazz. "Seriously Jazz, med bay now. You to Arcee" he snaps.

"First things first, someone needs to go find my ship and move it" Jazz states. He tosses a scanner to Bulkhead. "This will lead you to it, be sure not to scratch the paint" he tells him before following Arcee and Ratchet to the med bay. "Anyone else around?" he asks.

"It's just us and now you" Ratchet states. Jazz and Arcee got on a berth each. He tends to Jazz first, then Arcee. He tells them both to rest and for Jazz to have an energon cube. Before they report to Optimus about what happened to them. Jazz was then shown to his new room.
