"We cannot allow Megatron to send Dark Energon through his Space Bridge. If we fail, the dead
of Cybertron will rise. Swarm through its vortex and invade Earth. Bending human kind to Megatron's twisted rule" Optimus.

Nahko's POV

"Shouldn't you be focusing on finding the space bridge?" I grumble as Ratchet scans. While I sit in Bulkhead's hand. Miko is standing beside Bulkhead. Raf is on Bumblebee's shoulder.

"The computer is searching" he states. He looks at the screen on his arm and scans my chest again. Before he can say anything the computer dings. Ratchet goes to it and an image appears on screen. "Optimus, I've pinpointed the location of Megatron's Space Bridge. High in Earth's orbit, out of our reach" he explains.

"Ok, so you guys don't fly. But can't you just ground-bridge there?" Miko asks as Bulkhead puts me down.

"The Ground Bridge has limited range. Stretch all the way into orbit its vortex could snap. And scatter us to the stars" Ratchet explains.

"Since Megatron is likely already in transit, I'm afraid we must take that risk. Reaching the Space Bridge first is our only means of stopping him" Optimus states. Ratchet sighs and nods going over to the computer. We hear a horn and Arcee appears with Jack. Knew he couldn't stay away.

"Hey, guess who's back" Jack says removing his helmet.

"Autobots, prepare for departure" Optimus orders.

"Where to?" Arcee asks.

"The final frontier" Miko and I answer.

"Space? I thought they didn't have any way to get there" Jack says confused. As Bee puts Raf down.

"They don't, really" Raf tells him.

"Be seeing you" Jack tells Arcee.

"Becareful Bee" Raf tells him.

"I will" he whirls.

"I'm so jealous" Miko tells Bulkhead.

"Don't even think about following me" he tells her.

"Don't worry Bulkhead, I'll make sure she stays this time" I assure him as I wrap my arms around Miko. "Be sure to give the cons hell" I tell him.

"Will do" he says as the ground bridge is activated.

"Optimus, if you leave me stranded on a planet teaming with humans. I will never forgive you" Ratchet tells Optimus.

"Until we meet again, old friend" Optimus tells him. "Autobots roll out" he orders and they transform & go through the bridge at top speed. I let go of Miko once the portal closes.

"You know I wasn't gonna follow him this time" she tells me. "I maybe jealous, but even I know I can't breath in space" she states.

"Just a precaution" I tell her. "Anyway, good to have you back Jack" I tell him.

"Good to be back" he states. Ratchet sets up a live feed to the autobots. So that we can hear what's going on, but no video which sucks.

"So Megatron's packing enough Dark Energon to raise Cybertron's dead?" Arcee asks.

"And since we don't possess ready means of disabling the Space Bridge, nothing gets in or out!" Optimus orders.

"Well, what are they waiting for?" Arcee asks.

"It appears the Decepticons have sustained serious damage to their interstellar navigation system" Optimus states.

"Uh, that's my handiwork" Bulkhead states.

"That must of been the dish he used as a frisbee at the cons" Miko states. We shush her. We missed the first thing Optimus had said.

"Without the dish, Megatron would be unable to aim the Space Bridge at Cybertron" he states.

"Don't the Decepticons know where their own planet is?" Raf asks confused.

"Naturally. But Cybertron is many light years away. To reach their target, their aim must be astronomically precise" Ratchet explains.

"If Megatron went to the travel of rendezvousing with his Space Bridge, he must have an alternate targeting system. A remote one" Optimus tells us.

"From what I know of Earth's technology, I doubt there exists a single radio-telescope dish
on this planet powerful enough to pinpoint Cybertron" Ratchet states.

"What about a whole bunch of linked radio-telescope dishes? Like the giant sized array in Texas?" Raf asks pulling it up on his laptop. I remember seeing it on TV once.

"Shh! This is not child's play" Ratchet tells him.

"Good thinking, Raf" Optimus praises him. "Ratchet, have agent Fowler alert the array staff to the security hazard" he orders. Suddenly Fowler sits up pointing at Ratchet.

"You, soldier! You on the uniform! Put on some pants!" he snaps and falls back onto the bed.

"That may be a challenge" Ratchet tells Optimus as Raf tries to hack into the radio-telescope dishes system.

"I can't get past the array's firewalls. They're too thick" Raf states.

"You actually think you could keep the Decepticons out?" Ratchet asks.

"Maybe, if I could get in" Raf tells him.

"Wait, Raf, what if we could get you all the way in? Like 'inside-the-building' in?" Jack asks.

"Not a bad idea" I tell him.

"I could log into their intern network on the other side of the firewall" Raf states.

"The risk is too great, the Decepticons would be there. Perhaps even on sight" Optimus tells us.

"Optimus, with all due respect. You said it yourself, this is bigger than the safety of four humans" Jack reminds him.

"Yeah, if we let the 'Cons win. We are fragged, along with everyone else on our planet" Miko states.

"And like we're gonna let that happen" I add.

"Raf?" Optimus asks.

"I wanna give it a shot" Raf tells him. Ratchet ground bridges us to the site. We all felt a little dizzy after going through. Guess it'll take us some time to get used to it. We head into the building and I feel my chest is a little warm. We find a room and Raf starts to hack in.

"Security sure is lax on this place" Miko states.

"I'm gonna go have a look around" I tell them.

"You sure that's wise?" Jack asks me.

"Something doesn't feel right, you guys stay here" I tell them. I head for the door and pause looking back at Miko. "I mean it Miko, stay" I tell her and leave the room as Raf said he was in. I find a crow bar and pick it up as I try to follow the gentle burn in my chest.

I soon see a purple glow from a dark room and silently curse. I run back to the others. Not knowing the con had heard me. "Yeah Jack. They're probably like a thousand miles away" Miko states as I enter the room.

"They aren't" I tell them. "Raf can you disable the dishes?" I ask him.

"I can try" he states and starts to type faster. Just then two tentacles appear I knock one away from the crow bar. While another tosses Miko and Jack aside. "I won't let them lock on again" Raf assures us. I hit the tentacle away again, but the other appears. Raf grabs his USB and we dodge the tentacle. As it destroyed the computer Raf had been using.

Miko thought it was a great idea to grab an axe and try to chop the tentacles. But the tentacles avoided it and swing her into a wall. Making her drop the axe. Which one of the tentacles grabs. "You handed it an axe?" Jack demands as I block it with the crow bar.

"Not good" Raf says. Suddenly the tentacles disappear and we follow them. We end up in the same room as the con. It locked the dishes onto Cybertron and then used the axe to disconnect the cables. So we couldn't change their position. Miko takes a photo of the con and it takes one of us before leaving.

"Why is he leaving?" Miko asks confused.

"He has cut the hard-line. The dishes are locked on to Cybertron. For good" Raf explains. Ratchet bridges us back to base and I see Fowler is now on his feet.

"Optimus, I'm registering a rapidly expanding mass in their Space Bridge vortex. One with a  peculiar energy signature" Ratchet states.

"Dark Energon. Ratchet, we must destroy the Space Bridge" Optimus tells him. "There's enough live energon cursing through it to achieve detonation. But we lack the firepower to ignite it" he explains.

"If I knew how the Space Bridge was engineered, I might find a tactical way of accomplishing that feat" Ratchet tells him.

"Hm... would schematics help?" Raf asks and uploads them from his USB to the main computer.

"Optimus, I must say the Space Bridge is our sole hope of ever returning to Cybertron. Are you certain it's destruction is the only option?" Ratchet asks him.

"I am afraid so" Optimus tells him.

"Then by all means let us light our darkest hour" Ratchet says and starts to examine the schematics. Optimus orders the others to get into position. Saying he'd stand alone.

"These things are getting closer. That's bad, right?" Fowler asks while pointing at the screen. I nod at him.

"Ratchet, we're in position" Arcee states.

"Arcee, pay close attention" he tells her. "Now follow the line from the flow regulator to the energon pump. There should be a valve" he explains.

"I see it" Arcee tells him.

"Good. To turn all that power against itself, all you need to do is reverse the current" he tells her. Arcee stays quiet for a moment.

"Current reversed" she declares.

"Yes!" Fowler cheers. "Right?" he asks.

"Right" I agree.

"I'll ready the ground bridge" Ratchet informs the others. He activates it.  "Optimus, the Ground Bridge is ready and waiting" he informs him. They appear through it and he closes it. I see Arcee in Bee's arms. "We lost one this week, by the Allspark, don't let it be two" he begs. As Miko and I rush over to Bulkhead, hugging his hand relieved that he is alright.

Jack races over to Bee and Arcee. He touches her hand with his. "Arcee" he says his voice full of concern. Her opens open and she looks down at him.

"Jack, really? There are other motorcycles in the world" she tells him.

"But you're my first" he tells her.

"And Megatron?" Ratchet asks.

"Not even he could have survived ground-zero" Optimus tells him.

"Prime! I didn't get to thank you, 'Bots, for the save. I owe you one. We all do" Fowler states before leaving. Arcee stands up on her own two feet. Miko heads over to Optimus.

"So is this the part where you say good-bye and tell us we need to forget we ever saw you?" she asks him.

"No, as we have no way to leave. I see no reason for us to say goodbye yet" he states and she cheers. "Though it is time for you all the return home" he adds. We agree and go home with our guardians.

(Base) Third Persons POV

"Without of means of leaving this world we Autobots take strength in the bonds we have forged
with our four young friends. True warriors. If not in body then, in spirit. My name is Optimus Prime,and I send this message: though we did not choose to be of Earth, it would seem that
we are here to stay. If you approach this planet with hostile intent, know this. We will defend ourselves. We will defend humanity. We will defend, our home" Optimus states sending the message out into space.

Ratchet knocks on Optimus' door and enters. "Is something wrong my old friend?" Optimus asks.

"It is about the scan I did of Nahko before we discovered the space bridge" Ratchet tells him.

"Did it yield anything?" Optimus asks him.

"The shard in her chest, that she got a year ago. It is raw energon" Ratchet tells him and Optimus optics widen. "I do not know how she has managed to live with it for a year or how she is not ill. But we will need to monitor her health closely" he states.

"And we will" Optimus assures him. "Best keep this between us for now, we do not want to worry the children" he adds. Ratchet nods his head in agreement. "Is there any chance you can remove it?" he asks.

"No, it is to close to her spark. I mean heart" Ratchet corrects himself.

"Any idea why it reacts to our presence?" Optimus asks.

"I think it's the energon in our veins it reacts too" Ratchet tells him. "I think it also reacted to the dark energon on Arcee, Nahko claimed she to felt dizzy that day" he states. Optimus becomes thoughtful. "What are you thinking about Optimus?" he asks.

"If the decepticons discover she has a shard of energon inside her, she maybe targeted by them. And Bulkhead can not be in two places at once" Optimus states.

"So you want to give her her own personal guardian?" Ratchet asks him.

"That would be the best solution. But you are required here and I have many responsibilities as leader. For now Bulkhead will remain her and Miko's guardian until a solution can be found" Optimus tells him. Ratchet nods his helm and wishes Optimus a goodnight before going to his room to recharge. Optimus lays on his berth and falls into recharge himself.
