----- Autobot's HQ, a day later, night -----

Kari peeked out of under covers of her couch, seeing if everyone was asleep. Which they were, to her knowledge. She giggled and got out of her pajamas and into her casual clothing, no hoodie, goggles, cap, headband, or gloves. She did not wear her shoes either but she left the wrapping around her feet. She then tiptoed out of the HQ with Chase in her arms. She giggled and tightened her ponytail then went outside silently.

"Ok, out for a night watch in Jasper... Which is miles away." Kari huffed in a whisper and groaned. "I should have used the ground bridge but the dumb thing just HAS to be SOOO noisy! Ugh, come on Chase, let's go before crime gets too out of hand. That's when the fun stops!" Kari huffed and made her scarf ends into wings as she began to fly towards Jasper happily. All the autobots were asleep, but for Optimus, he was awake since he was looking for the decepticons still, unable to sleep this night. Optimus decided to check on Kari to see if she was sleeping alright or woke up hungry during the night sometime. Once he got to the main room he looked to the couch she normally slept on to see something on it, but when he looked closer she wasn't there and it was just a dummy.

"Where is she? She knows better to not leave here unless someone is with her." Optimus asked himself as he started to look around the headquarters to find Kari. With each place he looked and Kari wasn't there he'd panic more and more while looking for her in another room. The only other place he could look now was outdoors so he turned into a truck and exited the headquarters to look for Kari.

Kari soon saw the lights of Jasper and she smiled widely then spun with her feet towards the ground and her scarf ends going back to normal. She tossed Chase up and caught him with a giggle, having some fun. She then began to glow as she transformed into her robot mode, landing in an alley lightly. "Still need to work on the mask..." Kari huffed in thought and then put her hand on the ground, making a backpack appear with a similar design as her body as well as her symbol on the center and put Chase in it then put it on, making her cybertronian form look like a robot suit. She also made some notepads and pencils so she could "talk" in a way. Kari then went onto the roof of the building to her right and looked around while floating on a sphere of air with crossed arms and her legs in the position of the butterfly pose when doing yoga.

In an alleyway there was a group of three older men surrounding a young lady. One with a knife, one with a lead pipe, and the last one who seemed to be the leader held a gun to the lady. The young lady in her early twenties looked around her shivering in fear.

"Hand over everything you got now lady." The leader with the gun said pointing the gun at her face. The guy with the knife then stepped in.

"If you don't give us everything on you, we can just take something else." The man said with a big smirk. The man with the pipe let out a chuckle as they watched the lady struggle and look around frantically. Kari blinked, hearing this and went in by running ninja style on the roof tops. She then drop kicked the man with the gun and landed in front of the lady. The lady jumped back from the sudden appearance of a person in a robot suit. The men took a step back to see what was before them and getting in their way.

"Who the heck are you?" The leader shouted pointing the gun at the person in the suit not knowing it was a young girl. The other two men stood on each side of the leader looking over this suited person.

Kari looked a little upset at this since she had not figured out how to take off her mask and reply. But she knew this would happen and was happy she came prepared with a notebook and pencil. She took the items out and wrote them a note.

"The name's Proto-moon13. I'm here to kick butt and take names!" The note said. Kari crossed her arms after she let them read the note, shifting her weight onto her right hip, acting sassy. The three men laughed after reading the note.

"What punk can't talk for themselves?! How stupid, I'm soo scared." The guy with the pipe said laughing pretending to be scared.

"Something's wrong with my mic and speakers. My suit needs some work still... But I don't need to talk to kick all your sorry butts to the moon and back." Kari wrote to them and shrugged with narrowed, unamused eyes. The leader pointed the gun and shot Proto-moon13, but the bullet deflected off the suit and his eyes widened. Kari rolled her eyes. "Pfft, please. Bulletproof much. WEAK!" She wrote, taunting them.

"W-what the heck man?!" The leader shouted getting mad. Kari then gestured for them to attack her as best as they could. Next was the man with the lead pipe, he ran for Proto-moon13 as he struck the person's armor. The man's pipe bent after striking the "hero" in the head.

"N-no way, th-this ain't human!" The guy who had a pipe shouted as the two men looked to the last member. Kari rolled her eyes.

"I'm human. I'm just wearing a suit." She wrote, a little annoyed. The last one looked at the two, to his knife, then to Proto-moon13 and dropped the knife as he ran away. Kari huffed and rushed up quickly and grabbed the first two men then the last one who was running away and gave them to the police after writing a note, explaining what happened. After that she raced back to the lady and wrote a note.

"You ok?" The note said. "You need any help?" The lady shook her head "no".

"Th-thank you so much, I don't know what would have happened to me if you didn't show up. Thank you so much." The lady said thanking Proto-moon13, aka Kari, over and over again showing how grateful she was. Kari gave a happy look.

"Well, I'm glad I could help." Kari wrote then waved good bye to the lady and went back to the roof tops. "Well, I didn't have to use my abilities much... Geez no one takes me seriously cuz of my voice and such... I really need to figure out this mask thing. Maybe learn to speak when it's on... Well, whatever. It doesn't affect my work much so I guess it's ok for now..." Kari thought then went back to watching the city. Optimus was driving around as he saw a robot running around on the rooftops. He then sped up a bit after he noticed it was Kari. He had finally found her after searching everywhere for her.

"Kari Himura..." Optimus called still in his truck form even though there wasn't anyone around to see. Kari jolted and hid behind a vent on the roof she was on then wrote a note.

"I'm Proto-moon13." The note said. "I do not know of this Kari He-moo-ruh you speak of, talking truck." She did not show her face as she waved the note. Kari shivered and hugged her knees as she shivered. " SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP!!!!!!! I'M SOOOO DEAD!!! SOOO DEAD!!!! SO VERY VERY DEAD!! CALL ME DEAD BOT KARI!!!" Kari's thoughts screamed out in fear.

"You know the rules, you're lucky I didn't wake up everyone to come look for you. You know better not to leave the headquarters at night unless someone is with you at all times!" Optimus said getting a bit more mad.

"Who are you?" Kari wrote again, trying to see if she could make him go away. "If I play my cards correctly then maybe he'll think I'm someone else and just go away." Kari shivered again. Optimus changed into his robot form and picked up Proto-moon13 and made her face him.

"You are coming home, now young one. You're to never do this again." Optimus said strictly. Kari flailed angrily.

"NUUUU!!! I'm helping people!! I'm stopping crime!!!" Kari thought then wrote it down to show Optimus.

"I told you NO going out at night unless we're going out to fight decepticons or you're with one of us!" Optimus said again looking at her disappointedly. Kari crossed her arms and pouted.

"But I saved someone!! I'm half human so I should help!! Now that I know I'm half cybertronian I CAN help more!!!" Kari wrote down, trying to prove a point. "I'm 13! I can do this!!"

"I know what you're capable of, BUT we're to let the human police handle these sort of things. You're in big trouble if you keep arguing with me, Kari." Optimus said sounding like a father lecturing his daughter.

"But they weren't around!! They don't help unless they see or hear about it and they were not close enough to see or hear!" Kari wrote again and made sad eyes. "I can help! I wanna help. Sometimes the police just--" Gunshots and screams were heard in the distance. Kari flailed and got out of Optimus's grip and raced that way. "Please be ok, Please be ok!" Kari's thoughts echoed as she warped near the sight. Optimus cursed under his breath as he turned into a truck again searching for Kari and she's gonna be in BIG trouble when Optimus finds her again.

Soon Kari skid to a stop in front of dead police officers and a hostage situation. A woman, some men and two kids, a brother and a little sister. Their mother and father were shot dead on the floor of the gas station. Kari blinked and gulped, collecting herself quickly.

A group of four men dressed in all black with different animal masks pointed their guns. A man with a lion mask had a gun to the little girl's head and another man with a pig mask had his gun to the boy's head.

"Anyone makes the slightest move and it's off with one of the children's head!" Another man wearing a dog mask on shouted at whoever was around to try and stop them.

Kari growled then vanished, using her invisibility power then went in, creeping the four out then knocking out the man in the pig mask then the man with the dog mask then the man with the duck mask and finally the man with the lion mask, using pressure points. Kari then became visible and checked on everyone. One of the hostages was shot in the shoulder while someone else had a broken leg.

"E-excuse me..." A small voice called and someone tugged on Kari's scarf. "A-are you the one who saved us?" It was the little girl. Kari nodded while patching up the woman's leg then stood up and faced the girl, who smiled. "Thank you! Thank you so much!" Kari blinked and shook her head. "Y-you think you can save mommy and daddy?" She asked and Kari looked to the girl's parent's corpses.

"Annabeth, She can't. I told you, mommy and daddy are not coming back." Kari looked to the boy as he came up.

"But Lewis, they said they'd never leave us!" The girl whined and cried. The boy sighed and looked down. Kari looked at them and frowned. She then put her hand on the wall and pulled out a toy penguin then a toy rabbit and held them both out. She crossed her eyes and tried to make the two happy. Eventually the ambulance came and Kari told them what had happened using her notes. She gave the two kids the toys and was now walking them to an orphanage near by, since the police were too busy at the moment. Kari was carrying the little girl, who was now asleep, and the boy was holding her right hand.

"Can you talk?" The boy asked and Kari nodded. "Then why not speak? Is something wrong with your suit?" Kari nodded again. "Oh, well. Thanks for saving us." Kari gave him a happy look and shrugged saying "No problem" without using words. Optimus was driving around looking for Kari again seeing lights and hearing sirens heading in the direction in hopes of finding Kari and this time she wasn't going to get away from him, but he was too late because she had already left the scene. Eventually Kari had arrived at the children's house. She waited till Lewis came out with their things and they headed off once again to the orphanage. Kari saw a familiar truck pass them from the corner of her eye, a little quick. She shivered, knowing the truck but payed no mind so she would not frighten the two kids. Optimus was driving and saw Kari, but she was with two children so he waited for them to be gone, so he followed her but being careful.

Soon Kari and the two kids were at the orphanage. The door opened to reveal a kind woman in her early thirties. "Oh hello. You two must be the new kids I've heard were coming. Oh thank you so much for bringing them here. Please come in, come in." The woman cleared a path. Kari glanced behind her, then to the boy to her right. He looked frightened. Kari flicked her head towards the building and Lewis nodded. Kari followed happily, holding Annabeth close. "Your room is right this way. Oh, pardon me, my name is Miss Opal. It's nice to meet you." Miss Opal showed the three upstairs to the second floor then opened a room that had just been cleaned. The room had two twin sized beds and a closet as well as two desks and drawers on the bed sides. Kari sighed, remembering that her old room was looked similar to this one back before all this stuff happened.

Kari walked over and laid Annabeth down gently and tucked her in and gave her the rabbit toy. Lewis then got in his bed and held the penguin toy close. Kari ruffled his hair and gave him a happy look. "Will we see you again?" He asked tiredly. Kari blinked and thought for a moment then nodded happily. "Thanks." Lewis giggled then Kari tucked him in and "spoke" with Miss Opal before leaving. Kari hunched her back, a little tired. She then felt someone looking at her so she turned around to see Lewis waving happily at her. She waved back the wrote a note to him.

"See ya later Lewis. Get some rest, Kay?" The note said and Lewis nodded then left. Kari then went to walk home and noticed Optimus and looked down, writing a note. "I know I'm in big trouble but they were little kids and no one was coming any time soon." She protested. "I don't care how much trouble I get in at HQ, but I'm still gonna do this. You won't stop me." She narrowed her eyes at Optimus and walked on to an area with no people so he could talk to her. Optimus sighed and followed.

"At least let one of us know so we can come Kari. They don't know you're a young girl in a suit, let alone half human. I'm doing this to protect you from getting hurt." Optimus said sternly.

"I'm still a little sore about the whole half human thing..." Kari wrote, crossing her arms. "I'm just..." She looked down and changed back to her human form. "Geez that feels weird." Kari shivered. "Look, I'm not a baby, er, protoform or whatever and I do not to be protected. Kay..." Kari huffed with a small frown. "If you guys came you'd be up in my way and that'd only result in everyone getting hurt. You are huge and could easily step on someone. Me, I'm the right size. S-" Kari gulped. "Sm-small but scrappy. I don't want you to come because I'm worried someone other than me will get hurt and I do NOT want that... Please Optimus, trust me. Ok?"

"I do trust you and I want to, but you have to tell us these things! That and we don't get involved with these small human problems we would only go to keep an eye on you in case of decepticons." Optimus said.

"I AM HUMAN OPTIMUS!!" Kari growled. "IF I CAN HELP THEN I'M HELPING!!" Kari blew up. "HALF HUMAN HALF CYBERTRONIAN!! WHATEVER! I STILL HAVE A HUMAN PART!!!" Kari called out in a fit of rage. "I just wish..." Kari gulped. "I WISH I NEVER MET YOU OR THE AUTOBOTS!! THEN MY LIFE WOULD BE NORMAL AND I WOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS!! THESE ABILITIES THIS--- GAAAAHH!!! I'M SO CONFUSED!!" Kari yelled out then sniffled and hugged herself and turned away. "I wanna be normal, I want a nice home with a mom and a dad, maybe a sibling or two. A bed instead of a couch. I WANT a normal life but I have this one. And I really don't want it! You are always over protective and Ratchet is too... Actually you ALL are overprotective and I hate it!" Kari sniffled and sat down, hugging her knees close. "You don't know the confusion I'm going through right now Optimus... You really don't..." Optimus sighed as he turned to his robot self and knelt down.

"I don't, because I never had to go through what you are right now, and I'm sorry about being over protective. But we've already lost you once and we don't want to mess up like we did with Kaiser... I know how much it'd mean for you to have a normal life, but you can do great things and if you just talked to us instead of being hard headed, because that can be your weakness and one day that will get you seriously hurt or killed... I just want what's right for you Kari, I don't want you to be upset and I'm sorry everything has happened to you but nothing in the world can change your fate Kari, you have to make choices that might not alway be right." Optimus said gently as he frowned. Kari gritted her teeth and kept her back to him, whimpering, refusing to reply as she scooched away from him slightly.

"I know it's hard to take in all at once, but we're all here for you to help you understand and not be confused. We want to support you the best we can. Everything we do is in fear that we'll lose you, we already messed up with one we don't want to make the same mistake again... You're not alone because we are your family, Kari." Optimus said still in a gentle tone.

Kari began to shiver and she whined and sniffled. She turned her head slightly to Optimus to show part of her face. Her cheek was covered in tears from crying so much. She wanted to just go back in time and change everything so it was just her and Kaiser all over again, happy, together and not fighting and nothing to do with cybertron at all. But she was born like this, fate would catch up to her somehow and she knew it too and it was killing her emotionally.

"Everything will work out Kari... It's up to you to change your future because you're the only one that can decide what you need in life, because there are times where even the wrong answer is the correct for some." Optimus said being fatherly. Kari turned her head away, wiped her eyes while sniffling and a hiccup escaped her throat then she stood up and turned to Optimus.

"K-kay..." She gulped with a confident spark flickering in her eyes. Optimus turned back into a truck as a door opened.

"Shall we go home Kari? It's almost sunrise and you must be tired from saving so many people... I'm proud of you Kari." Optimus said as, even though she couldn't see it, he was smiling. Kari yawned, took a few steps forward and blinked then fell on the seat, out cold after hearing his words and giving a small smile. She was tired and needed this whole thing to happen. A wave of relief and happiness washed over her as she felt a strange weight lift off her back. Optimus drove back home at a decent speed so they could get home faster while Kari was sound asleep.

Finally Optimus got back as he turned into a robot. He carried Kari who was still sleeping and went over to her couch, placing her down and covering her with the blanket.

"Goodnight, my child sleep well." Optimus said gently smoothing her hair with a finger before going back to his room to sleep before he had to get up.

---- Decepticon's Ship the next day, morning ----

Kaiser was pacing back and forth in her cage no longer wearing bandages since all her wounds healed fine. Yesterday she didn't see Starscream since breakfast and he didn't come back like always, but Knockout would pop in and check on her.

"What the heck, that liar he said he'd come back from whatever he had to do for lord Megatron yesterday..." Kaiser said kinda mad as she sat down at the opening of her cage as her feet dangled from it. Kaiser sighed when she thought she wasn't going to think about anything as the image of Kari appeared in her head then shook her head back and forth.

"No, no, no, no! She's better off with them, I'm too far away to be able to stand with her even if I'm free... I-I-I'm so sorry for what I've become Kari, I'm such a terrible half human being." Kaiser said looking down at her lap thinking of so many things at once that she just wants to say, but keeping to herself. Starscream soon arrived and walked towards Megatron's chambers and bowed.

"Lord Megatron, I have found the item you sent me to find." He stated, showing a strange mushroom. Megatron looked at Starscream questionably.

"What is that thing?" Megatron asked.

"A Cordyceps fungus. It controls its victims into doing a certain ritual to sprout more just like it. I found it for that mind control potion we were working on to get Kari on our side." Starscream informed. Megatron gave a evil smirk. "We will need to manipulate it on a molecular structure so we will be able to control Kari as well as other things but it should be done within a week or so. Maybe sooner." Starscream stated, standing up straight.

"You've done well Starscream. Keep up the good work. Bring it to the lab and have them work on it then you're dismissed." Megatron said dismissing Starscream from the room. Starscream nodded and left then gave the fungus to the decepticons in the lab and then left to go see Kaiser.

"Kaiser..." He gulped after knocking on the rim of the door. "I'm back. Sorry I took so long..."

"Sure you are, first you don't show up after saying you would after one thing and then I don't see you the all day yesterday after breakfast and then all of this morning. Talk about rude." Kaiser huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. Starscream frowned.

"I'm sorry. It just took me a while to find the item I was told to get." Starscream sighed sadly. "I really am sorry Kaiser." Kaiser looked over and sighed as she walked over and opened the door and leaned on it.

"At least next time tell me or take me with you so I'm not always cooped up on this ship... Doing something like that will make others think something bad happened." Kaiser said not looking at him. Starscream nodded.

"Alright. I will not always be able to take you with me but I will let you know if it is long or not." Starscream sighed as he said this. Kaiser looked up at him and smiled a bit.

"Thank you, as much as I like helping Knockout out even that can get boring after awhile and doing nothing leads to me spacing out." Kaiser said as she sighed. Starscream chuckled and nodded.

"Alright, I'll get better at telling you." He smiled lightly. "I got you some food for lunch while on my way back. I figured Knockout already gave you breakfast so I'd get you lunch for later." He informed then took Kaiser with him while he did some of his duties. Kaiser sat on Starscream shoulder as he walked.

"Where we going first Starscream?" Kaiser asked as she looked up at him.

"I believe we need to fix a few wires in the ship's control room. Then some things in the computer room then it's lunch time." Starscream replied. Kaiser hit her face with her palm.

"Did those idiot grunts mess up the wires in the control room again!? I swear I'll kick all their tincan butts!" Kaiser said in annoyance. Starscream shrugged.

"I don't know who. But I know that we need to fix it." He sighed, slightly annoyed as well. Kaiser sighed as she waited till they got to the control room.

"Hopefully it won't be too much, last time me and Knockout fixed it I got covered in oil, how does one simply get oil in a wired mainframe!?" Kaiser said tossing her arms in the air still wanting to know what dummy did that. Starscream chuckled and shrugged.

"I don't know. Come on, let's get to work." He smiled and the two began to work. Kaiser had to climb in as usual so she could start to disconnect wires that were broken as she ever so lightly hummed to herself while working. Starscream smiling lightly at her while working, slightly happy she was ok.
