----- Autobots HQ a few days later, afternoon -----

Everyone was sitting in the main room hanging around since the computer hasn't picked up any threatening signals or anything. Kari was training with Arcee since she still needed to get better while Bulkhead and Bumblebee were watching and Ratchet in his lab doing things.

"I can't believe they did that to Kaiser..." Kari grumbled to herself.

"It'll be okay Kari, maybe th-they brainwashed her and-and she has no other choice but to listen to them..." Bumblebee said thinking of things to help Kari cheer up. He's been trying to make sure Kari keeps smiling everyday even though she's still kinda in emotional pain from her fight with Kaiser.

"NOT HELPING!!" Kari yelled and punched the punching bag, sending it flying as it hit the wall and made a deep dent in it. Kari's fist and the bag were steaming and her pupils were slits now. She also had enhanced feline fangs but no one saw because her mouth was hidden by her scarf. Bumblebee jumped and frowned flailing his arms.

"I-I'm sorry Ka-kari... I just hate seeing you u-upset." Bumblebee said frowning a bit. Kari sighed and straightened her posture.

"I'm going for a walk. ALONE." Kari then grabbed her guitar and silver knapsack then she put her right palm over her forehead and warped away, a short distance out of the HQ. Bumblebee frowned feeling sad that he only just made Kari feel worse instead of better.

----- with Kari -----

Kari flew to Jasper with a growl. When she arrived she began to walk around Jasper with a sigh, her guitar strapped to her back over her silver knapsack with her hands in her hoodie pockets and her back hunched slightly. She had put her hoodie, gloves, and shoes on a while ago before she left HQ. She left her cap and goggles back at HQ because she thought it would be best without them. She soon heard a voice.

"Kari, is that you?" It was Nate. Kari turned to him and gave a small smile.

"Hey Nate." She said, a little upset. Nate frowned.

"You ok? Is something wrong?" He asked, giving her a concerned look. Kari gulped then sighed.

"I'm just going through a lot." Kari replied and the two began to walk to the park, talking with each other. Kari explained what was going on, but not telling him about the autobots and decepticon since they were a secret. Nate nodded and smiled lightly to give Kari a sense of comfort, even though he felt bad for her.

"That sounds rough."

"It is! I mean she was like my sister and now..." Kari growled and looked down, Nate rubbed Kari's back.

"Hey, it's ok. I'm here for you if you ever need to talk." He smiled. Kari nodded and giggled. "You know, I have a question. Why do you always hide your face?" Kari blinked and sighed then pulled down her hood then her ninja head band, and finally her gloves. Nate blinked as Kari showed him her hair, cat-like eyes and silver waning crescent moon symbols. He stared for a moment in shock.

"Th-this is why... I'm different... I have other symbols on my torso, back, tops and bottoms of my feet, and tops and palms of my right hand." Kari sighed and Nate smiled.

"You look so cool! I haven't seen anything like this!" He said, sounding happy. Kari blinked at his response and smiled with a small giggle.

"R-really? Th-thanks." Kari said, a little timidly as she blushed out of embarrassment. The two talked some more together, practicing a bit as well.

----- Back at autobot's HQ -----

Optimus was in the computer room when all of a sudden two lights popped up on the screen as sirens started to go off. Optimus looked at the screens to see a purple dot and then a silvery blue dot.

"The decepticons are back, but who or what is the other one?" Optimus said to himself as he rushed off to get the others and head out. "Everyone we need to head out, the decepticons are making another appearance near the park in Jasper." Optimus said once in the main room getting everyone's attention. Everyone got up to go to the ground bridge as Bumblebee looked around.

"Kari isn't back yet though." Bumblebee said getting panicked a bit. Arcee shook her head.

"Come on Bee, Kari isn't a little child, she can take care of herself." Arcee said pulling Bumblebee along to the ground bridge.

"She's right, Bee. I'm sure Kar-kar's fine. Come on." Bulkhead called. Soon everyone was in vehicle mode and they all headed out.

----- With Kari, moments before -----

Kari and Nate were laughing together and hanging out, telling jokes and stories since they were taking a small break from practice and not much else was going on. Soon a jet was heard near by and Kari winced and looked up.

"Why is HE here?!" Kari thought with a gulp as the jet landed. Starscream then transformed right in front of them. Nate stared in shock and shivered, then got in front of Kari. Starscream saw this and chuckled.

"Awe, little Kari made a friend. That's cute." He smirked. "I'm here to make you an offer." Kari growled and Nate looked at her.

"You know that thing?" He asked, keeping his eyes on Starscream. Kari nodded.

"Sadly. His name's Starscream." Kari replied, her symbols glowing in anger. "Nate, you might want to hide." Kari called and Nate looked at Kari.

"What?! No w-"

"HIDE NOW!" Kari growled and got in front of Nate. The man gulped and took cover. Starscream chuckled. "What's this stupid offer?" Kari growled and crossed her arms, soon hearing another aircraft fly in. Megatron transformed and then landed on the ground standing on his two feet. Nate was freaking out as he saw the two robots standing in front of Kari while she just stood there as if she was used to it. "Well, you didn't answer my question." Kari huffed with a scowl and Starscream sighed.

"Either come with us willingly or become our puppet." Starscream growled at Kari, not liking her sass. Megatron nodded his head with an evil grin.

"And if you still deny our offer we will slaughter each and everyone of your autobot friends." Megatron said, being serious with Kari as he narrowed his eyes at her. Kari widened her eyes in fear as she lowered her guard slightly and she uncrossed her arms. Kari gulped and looked down in thought.

"I... They... ARGH... I'd never let them do that!!" Kari thought with a growl as she tightened her hands into fists, a clicking sound soon surrounded Kari as she closed her eyes tight, growling at her thoughts. "I-I'D STOP THEM!!! THEY CAN'T!! I'LL USE MY BARRIERS TO PROTECT THEM!!! THEY WON'T KILL THEM WHILE I'M HERE!! NO WAY!!! THEY WON'T, THEY WON'T!!!!" Kari thought as metal began to form where her skin was. She was mainly midday sky blue and where her hair was a shiny white piece of metal resembling her hair's shape appeared. Kari still had her hoodie and scarf but everything else that was clothing was hidden by metal for some reason. Kari's symbols shimmered a nice silver, in their respective places. She still had her usual figure and her size did not change either and her right arm was still bandaged up as well.

Kari's legs and arms had silver lines on the sides going up slightly and her back had two pieces of silver metal coming out, resembling thin wings. She had a mask over her mouth from her helmet, which was also her hair, that was midday sky blue with a small amount of silver. Her joints were outlined in black as well, bringinging a slight emphasis to them a bit. Her feet had little slots that held wheels so she could roller blade at any time, the wheels were a shiny silver. (Kat: Again, the picture was used as a reference and the picture is not exactly what Kari looks like. So, Kari doesn't have the rings on her arms and legs and doesn't have the dress like the picture. All rights reserved to the person who drew this picture. Thank you) Nate stared and gasped from his hiding place.

"K-Kari?!" He thought in utter shock. Megatron's eyes widened as he looked at the now robotic Kari that was in front of him and Starscream.

"S-she's the other protoform!" Megatron thought to himself as he quickly realized and made a connection. Then all of a sudden bullets were firing a blaze as Bumblebee shot at the two decepticons before they could do anything else.

"Stay away from that bot Megatron!" Bumblebee shouted standing in between Megatron and the robot behind him which he didn't know was Kari. Soon enough Optimus and the other autobots joined him ready to fight. Megatron glared at the autobots for getting in his way once again. Kari opened her eyes slowly and looked up, not knowing what just happened. She jumped up happily while Nate nearly fainted when he saw the other robots appear. This was just too much too soon. Optimus was fighting and shooting at Megatron as the leader of the decepticons also fought back. Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet, and Bulkhead were fighting Starscream. Kari looked at everyone and tried to cheer but no noise came out of her mouth. Kari stopped jumping and blinked her glowing blood red eyes. She looked down and noticed her feet were metal then she looked at her hands, the same metal. Kari shivered and felt where her mouth was, but a mask was there. Her eyes widened in slight fear since she could not feel her mouth.

"AAAAAHHHH!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" She screamed internally and began to freak out. Bumblebee punched Starscream in the face as he went over and knelt down to be at eye level with the human sized robot.

"Are you alright? They didn't hurt you did they?" Bumblebee asked the new robot. Kari tried to reply, looking frantic but again, no noise escaped her.

"BEE!!! IT'S ME!!! WHAT IS GOING ON?!!" Kari thought but no one could hear her. This made her mad and she flailed her arms in frustration. "ARGH!!! HELP ME!!!!!" She thought sadly. Bumblebee looked at the robot with his head tilted to the side confused as to why she wasn't talking but jumping and flailing her arms around looking like she was trying to say something. Bulkhead walked up and blinked.

"Is the bot ok?" He asked Bumblebee with a sigh. Ratchet came up as well, ready to help if needed. A while after Megatron and Starscream fled the scene. Arcee and Optimus soon joined the group that surrounded the new young robot.

"Hello, my name is Optimus Prime. What is your name?" Optimus asked, also not knowing is was Kari. Kari crossed her arms and then looked down in thought. She then got sad and walked over to the bench and sulked since she could not speak to tell the group it was her while she had her back to the autobots. Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Arcee looked to the robot as she seemed bummed out about something, but what. Bulkhead looked at Optimus and shrugged.

"I think she's mute..." He stated. Then a rustling in the bushes caught everyone's attention. Kari perked up and had an idea. She trotted to the rustling and helped Nate up. She blinked at him happily while Nate looked at the autobots. Kari did her best to tell Nate that they were good using charades. Optimus and the others looked as the human sized robot was "talking" in a way to the human. She then tried to get him to say her name.

"You want me to say your name? Ok, Kari Himura, duh." Nate smiled and chuckled. "I saw you do that transformation thing! So I know who you are. How'd you even do that?!" Kari shrugged her arms with a slight tilt of the head with her palms out slightly, kind of like how Hiro Hamada shrugged in big hero 6. Bumblebee's eyes widened to hear Kari's name being said by the guy who had been teaching her guitar lessons for a few weeks now. Kari jumped up in joy upon Nate saying her name, she hugged him then trotted to the Autobots, tugging Nate along with her. She stood in front of them and crossed her arms then pointed to the few symbols that were shown on her then her scarf and crossed her arms again, tapping her left foot as if a little upset, shifting her weight to her right hip.

"K-Kari is that really you?!" Bumblebee asked looking at her surprised. Kari jumped up furiously.

"YEAH IT'S DUMMY!! WHO ELSE COULD I BE?!!! GEEZ!!" Kari thought in anger. Bulkhead blinked in shock and nearly passed out. Bumblebee frowned feeling like she was mad at him as he hung his head down a bit.

"S-sorry..." Bumblebee said apologizing. Kari blinked at him and began to get a little worried, she went up and shook her head as she put her hands on his leg to get his attention.

"It's ok Bee. I'm sorry. Don't be like that..." She thought, trying to comfort the larger robot. Nate blinked at the scene. Bumblebee looked down at Kari and smiled.

"So these robots watch over you, Kari?" He asked, looking at her and Kari nodded happily and jumped up in joy a few times. Optimus smiled as he saw Kari, well he was probably going to have to tell her and the others once they got back to headquarters.

"We should be getting back now Kari." Optimus said looking to robotic Kari. The young bot looked at Optimus and blinked and pointed to Nate, wanting them all to introduce themselves to him before they left. It's no longer a secret to him now that they were standing right in front of him.

"Hello I am Optimus Prime, leader of the autobots." Optimus was introducing himself to the human.

"I'm Arcee." Arcee said normally.

"I'm Ratchet." Ratchet huffed and crossed his arms.

"Grumpy much, Ratchet?" Kari thought with an unamused glare to the old bot. Ratchet blinked as he saw Kari's look.

"What?" He asked, in a slightly innocent tone.

"Hiya, the name's Bulkhead and he's Bumblebee." Bulkhead smiled and introduced himself and Bumblebee while the yellow and black robot waved his hand with a smile, since Nate would probably not understand him.

"I'm Nate. I've been teaching Kari how to get better at the guitar." Nate smiled after the autobots introduced themselves.

"It was nice meeting you Nate, but we must be going, and please do keep this a secret." Optimus said looking down at Nate.

"Of course." Nate smiled and gave Kari a high-five before she left. "Hey take care kid." He smiled and Kari nodded, waving her right hand which made the number three with her index finger, middle finger and thumb. Kari then walked up to Optimus and looked up at him giving a nod, saying she was ready to go home. Optimus looked to Ratchet for him to start up the ground bridge for home. Bumblebee picked up Kari and gently placed her on his shoulder while Ratchet started up the ground bridge. Kari waved at Nate as she left and he waved back. He then got his things and headed back, also grabbing Kari's things since she forgot them. He'd give them back when they were practicing again.

They finally got back as Optimus looked to them all before they went off to do their own thing. Kari blinked and looked at Optimus, tilting her head.

"I have something I must tell you all." Optimus said leading them to the main room so they could sit down. Arcee, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Bulkhead followed behind Optimus. Everyone sat down as Optimus stood in front of them all while Kari went and climbed onto his shoulder, sitting in the butterfly pose but not holding her ankles, instead she had the palms of her hands in between her legs, looking up slightly at Optimus's face.

"Kari I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but at the time I did not know how you'd react to what I have to say, but now I know you might understand a bit better. About thirteen years ago before we landed on earth we were on a ship called the ARK. One day before we left our home planet I found two protoforms in a pile of rubble and took them with us because they were the last of their generation because of the war with the deceptions.... We were attacked and the two protoforms fell from space heading to earth. We all thought they burned up from the sheer force, until this day that is." Optimus fully explained as every autobot looked at Optimus with wide eyes. Everyone then looked at Kari as she blinked then got off of Optimus then crossed her arms at him then went to the wall and punched it a few times, spelling out what she wanted to say.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER?! I SHOULD KNOW THESE THINGS!!" The note said. Kari was obviously upset about Optimus keeping secrets from her. Especially if the secret was ABOUT her. Optimus frowned.

"As I said I'm sorry, I didn't feel you were ready until you were fully prepared to hear what I had to say or you'd run away not wanting to know the truth. I hope you can forgive me... But you and kaiser are the two protoforms that fell from space that day." Optimus said looking at her.

Kari nodded her head, understanding why he did this. She then punched another note in the wall.

"How do I go back? This no talking thing is annoying! At least help me with my mask or something!" Kari looked annoyed as she tugged on her mask, eventually falling and kicking her legs in frustration.

"Try thinking about being human again." Optimus said looking at Kari. The young bot nodded her head and stopped flailing then closed her eyes. Eventually there was some clicking and when Kari opened her eyes she looked at her left hand and blinked.

"YEAH!!" She called out with a giggle then went shocked. "I CAN TALK AGAIN!!! YES!!! WOOHOOO!!!" Kari laughed and stood to her feet happily. Bulkhead chuckled and Ratchet crossed his arms with a small smile as he saw how happy Kari was. Bumblebee clapped happily as Arcee smiled feeling proud. Optimus gave a smile to Kari.

"You should go rest Kari, you used a lot of energy during that fight." Optimus said looking down to her.

"Aw, but I'm not--" Kari began to step forward but she fell and was out like a light. Bumblebee smiled gently as he picked Kari up and placed her on her couch pulling the blanket over the sleeping girl while Bulkhead chuckled.

"I bet she was gonna say she wasn't tired." He smiled and Ratchet nodded, glancing at Kari then at Optimus.

"How long did you know?" He asked in a low tone.

"She followed me to the computer room and I asked her about her life before the orphanage and told me an interesting story. So I put some coordinates in the ground bridge and went to where she and kaiser were found and it was the same coordinates as to where the protoforms were falling." Optimus said. "Not only that but I scanned the area and noticed small traces of allspark energy." Optimus added. Ratchet blinked and nodded his head.

"I'm... Glad we found them..." He said. "I've felt so bad for letting them both slip from my hands... If only I was faster then Kaiser would be here and Kari would not be going through this. If only we knew." Ratchet looked down and tightened his hands into fists. Optimus placed a hand on ratchet's shoulder.

"None of us knew they were the protoforms, we all wished we could have saved Kaiser when they first took her."

"But thirteen years ago if I had caught them before they fell things would be different! Better!" Ratchet frowned and began to mentally beat himself up about the situation.

"Ratchet everything happens for a reason my friend, we must have faith in them that their lives were written to be this way by the stars." Optimus said to Ratchet trying to comfort him.

"... Alright Optimus." Ratchet sighed, calming down a bit. Kari tossed on the couch slightly as a small smile curved onto her lips.
