----- Autobot's Headquarters same day -----

Everyone returned to the headquarters safely as they were now inside. Arcee parked herself as she waited for Kari to get off of her so she could transform back to normal. Optimus, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead were already back in their robot forms. Kari got off of Arcee and looked around slowly when the grumpy old bot Ratchet came in. He looked down at Kari and huffed.

"Where's the other one?" He asked and looked up at Optimus. Optimus went over to Rachet and leaned near him.

"Starscream snatched Kari's sister before she could get away, sadly." Optimus said to Ratchet whispering.

"I'm not deaf! I can HEAR you." Kari frowned and crossed her arms. "Kaiser's not related to me, by the way. We just consider each other sisters, so call Kaiser by her name, please." Optimus nodded his head.

"I'm terribly sorry Kari." Optimus apologized to Kari.

"Don't be sorry. You didn't know." Kari smiled kindly. Ratchet huffed and took Kari to patch her up as best as he could.

"There, now you can go home and get out of our way." Ratchet huffed.

"But, Optimus said I could stay here." Kari stated innocently. Ratchet blinked.

"WHAT?! Optimus!" Ratchet called and went to Optimus, Kari close behind.

"What is it Ratchet?" Optimus turned around and asked.

"Why is a HUMAN staying here? She might get squished under foot! Not only that, but the thing will get in the way!" Ratchet grumbled, a little upset. Kari looked at Arcee.

"Is that one always like this?" She asked. Arcee knelt down to be near Kari so she could whisper.

"You mean Ratchet? Yeah he's like this a lot, don't take what he says seriously." Arcee said while looking back to the conversation. Kari nodded at Arcee's words, taking a mental note.

"She has no home, Ratchet, would you really put a young homeless girl back on the streets all by herself? And we need to retrieve Kaiser from the decepticons as soon as we know where they are." Optimus said getting closer to Rachet. "Do I make myself clear?"

"... Yes... Optimus..." Ratchet grumbled in defeat and left with a small growl. Kari blinked as she watched Ratchet leave.

"... So, what now?" Kari asked with a shrug then a yawn. Optimus looked at Kari and then to Arcee.

"Arcee I will leave Kari in your care, obviously she needs her rest from so much happening today." Optimus said as Arcee nodded her head.

"Yes sir." Arcee put her hand on the floor for Kari to get on. "Come on let's go so you can catch up on rest kid." She said looking down.

"... Kay..." Kari yawned and went to climb up on Arcee's hand but she tripped on the femm-bot's finger and fell face first in the metal hand. Kari was out like a light. Arcee sighed as she picked up her hand knowing Kari wouldn't fall off as she walked off to her room.

"Man, must have been really rough. I'm surprised she's still smiling..." Bulkhead huffed as he watched Arcee take Kari. "I'd be really upset if I went through something like that... What about you Bee?" Bulkhead looked to Bumblebee with his arms crossed.

"I'd be heartbroken to see my closest friend being taken away right in front of me. I'd be worrying about how they were." Bumblebee said looking at Bulkhead.

"That kid must be strong, internally I mean..." Bulkhead chuckled lightly. Arcee got to her room as she walked over to the mini couch she had and gently placed Kari onto it then placing a blanket over her.

"Sleep well kiddo." Arcee said as she went to rejoin the group out in the main room. Kari let out a whine as she frowned slightly as Arcee left. Bulkhead looked at Arcee and blinked.

"Hey, Kari all good?" He asked with a small smile.

"Yup, sleeping like a rock." Arcee said as she sat down. Bulkhead smiled and nodded, sitting down on the big couch with her.

"You think her friend Kaiser is okay?" Bumblebee asked the group. Bulkhead sighed.

"I sure hope so." He replied in a low tone.

----- Decepticon's ship next day, Morning -----

When Starscream woke up he went to give Kaiser some food so she would not starve to death.

"Here human. I believe you call this breakfast." He huffed and put some food in Kaiser's cage. It looked like it was made in a restaurant. Well, that's because he stole it from a restaurant some how. Kaiser was woken up and looked at the food and then to Starscream and then slowly took the plate examining it. Starscream huffed. "Why are you just looking at the food?" He asked, annoyed and curious.

"Making sure I'm not being poisoned." Kaiser said in a soft voice looking at him.

"If I wanted you dead I would just obliterate you with my gun. I believe it's more fun that way. Now eat." He ordered with a huff. Kaiser started to eat the food quietly not speaking as her hoodie was still covering her face from him. Starscream gave a small smile then sighed. "If you are good I could show you around. But you know the deal." Starscream huffed and narrowed his eyes at Kaiser. Kaiser looked a bit at him still not saying anything as she ate. Starscream growled then left the room since he was obviously not going to get her to speak right now. He went to do somethings then came back to see that Kaiser was finished eating. He took the plate from her and put it on a shelf then took her in his hand. "Lets go human. I need you to meet someone." Starscream then brought Kaiser to a red bot, Knockout. Kaiser didn't move while she stayed silent with her hat and hoodie on. "Knockout, how much do you know about human biology or whatever it's called?"

"Not much, why?" Knockout asked, not looking at Starscream.

"Because this one needs to be examined. It's a hostage and bait from an earlier plan to rid us from those autobots." Knockout looked at Starscream then saw Kaiser.

"Very well. You must have some plan. I won't be too long." Knockout then grabbed Kaiser and began to look her over. "Hello little human, I'm Knockout. I'll be examining you for a moment so please cooperate with me." Knockout tried his best to sound nice, even though he was not sure if he should be doing this. "So, what do you go by?" He asked. Kaiser glared at Knockout when he called her little.

"First of all call me little again and I don't care how big you are I'll kick your butt! I go by Kaiser." Kaiser said looking at Knockout who was trying to be nice in a way.

"Very well, Kaiser. Where did all of these bruises come from?" Kaiser looked at him as she put her hoodie down.

"I got into a fight yesterday at the orphanage protecting my friend from a group of bullies, but I won as usual." Kaiser said crossing her arms. Knockout blinked and chuckled.

"Wow, you must be quite strong. Who's your friend?" Knockout asked, almost done examining Kaiser. Kaiser frowned a bit at the mention of her friend.

"Yeah, had to teach myself to fight. Her name is Kari, we grew up in the same orphanage so we considered ourselves like sisters to one another." Kaiser said waiting to be done.

"Oh, well, uh..." Knockout cleared his throat. "You're all done. Starscream, she's ready for you." Starscream came back in and took Kaiser and showed her around real quick before putting her back in her cage.

"There, now you know the ship incase I ever get to trust you enough to let you out... But I doubt that'll happen, seeing as you are just a human. But whatever. I'll be taking my leave now. Have fun in there." Starscream left with a chuckle. He thought about showing her to Megatron but changed his mind. He would surely see Kaiser as a weakness and want her dead. Starscream still needed her as bait, and a threat in a way as well. But Megatron could like his plans, so he bit his lower metal lip and went to tell Megatron.

"Uh, L-lord Megatron." Starscream stuttered upon arriving in the main room of the ship. "I have some news for you. I believe you will like it." Megatron looked over at Starscream.

"What is it Starscream?" Megatron asked leaning his face on his fist. Starscream explained about Kaiser and his plan to use her as a shield or backup to help them in a way.

"I took her and another as a hostage to lure the autobots into a trap. But they have one of them. Thankfully I snatched this one before she got away. They would never want a human's life in danger." Starscream explained. Megatron thought about then looked to Starscream.

"I want to see this human." Megatron ordered looking at Starscream. Starscream nodded

"Yes lord Megatron." He said and then went to Kaiser and grabbed her cage and brought her as ordered.

"Where are you taking me now?" Kaiser asked Starscream being pulled around.

"You are going to meet Lord Megatron. He ordered me to get you." Starscream replied with a huff.

"You don't seem happy about it." Kaiser said using her other hand to bring her hat over her face more.

"Because he is hard to please..." Starscream grumbled, soon arriving in front of Megatron and showing Kaiser to him. Megatron looked at the human before him.

"So you are Kaiser, normally humans cower in fear and run away. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't squash you like a bug." Megatron asked leaning forward a bit.

"I don't have a good enough reason for why you shouldn't kill me, because I've said it already I don't have much besides my friend and I'm forced here because I don't want her being hurt because of me!" Kaiser said looking right back at him. Megatron chuckled leaning back.

"You are quite weird for a human....Keep her in the cage." Megatron said waving them off making up his mind.

"Yes, Lord Megatron." Starscream stated with a bow and went to put Kaiser's cage back where it originally was. Kaiser was sitting as Starscream lugged her back to where her original spot was. Kaiser took off her hat so her hair fell down from it being tucked in from having her hoodie up and ran fingers through it to get the knots out in silence. Eventually Starscream hung Kaiser's cage back where it was and left the room, coming back to check on her or give her food. Kaiser would be quite a lot of the time, and wouldn't eat as much since she was used to eating some food and then giving what she didn't eat to Kari since the orphanage only gave each kid one plate full of food and that was it. She did this because Kari ate so much food for some reason. She frowned thinking about Kari, but she was in good hands. Kaiser had a feeling that those robots that came to help them would keep Kari safe from harm so it wouldn't have mattered if she died or anything.

---- Autobot's HQ ----

Kari woke up and looked around with a frown. She had hoped that yesterday was all just a bad dream and that she would wake up in her bed and see Kaiser across from her, since they shared the same room. Kari sighed and sat up then got out of the "bed" she was in and timidly exited the room, looking around the corner with a gulp. All the autobots were in the main room sitting around as they were trying to locate where Megatron and the others are hiding so they could find Kaiser and save her for Kari's sake. Bumblebee turned around and saw Kari and gave a smile.

"Hey Kari, I forgot to tell you my name is Bumblebee! Did you have a good nights rest? Oh wait, I forgot she probably doesn't understand a single word I'm saying." Bumblebee said now kinda sad not being able to talk to Kari.

"I-I... I can understand you, Bumblebee." Kari gulped shyly, not moving from her spot. Everyone looked at Kari and blinked. They thought that humans were unable to understand Bumblebee. Kari shivered as everyone stared at her so she backed away. "Why are you all staring at me..?" She asked in a low, soft tone. Bumblebee was shocked, but then got really happy and smiled.

"You can actually understand me! That makes me so happy!" Bumblebee said happily.

"Y-ye-yeh... I-I can understand you. You're speaking pretty clear to me." Kari replied with a blink. "Why do you say that?" Kari asked, slowly stepping out.

"Ever since his voice box was crushed, Bumblebee has only been able to speak in low frequency in which humans would not normally be able to understand what he is saying." Optimus said explaining to Kari. Kari blinked and looked at Bumblebee.

"I'm glad I could make you happy." She giggled with a small grin. Ratchet rolled his eyes in annoyance and left the group to search things on the big cyber-tech computer like deceive. Arcee looked over to Kari.

"Are you hungry Kari?" Arcee asked the young girl from where she was. Kari nodded.

"Very. Do you guys eat what humans eat? Or no? I'd think not but I could be wrong." Kari smiled nervously.

"We don't eat human food but we did get some for you. Here." Bulkhead held out a paper bag and smiled. Kari took it and thanked him then began to eat her breakfast happily. Bumblebee and Arcee watched Kari as she ate the food they got for her.

"I'm going to check the computers to see if they have picked up on Starscream's location or anything usefull." Optimus said as he walked away from the group to check to look for any leads.

"Hey Kari I forgot to ask why are you hurt, did Starscream hurt you?" Bumblebee asked Kari as she was eating. He sounded concerned. Kari blinked and swallowed the bite of food that was in her mouth.

"Oh, these cuts? I broke the glass containers that held me and Kaiser so we could escape." Kari stated matter-of-factly. Bulkhead nodded.

"That's what she told us when we found her. She had a little of that red liquid on her but nothing really bad. Just some cuts and bruises. Nothing she can't handle, right Kari?" Bulkhead chuckled and Kari nodded.

"Yeh! I've been through worse!" Kari giggled and everyone blinked. Bumblebee, Arcee, and Bulkhead exchanged glances to one another wondering what the young human meant by been through "worse" things.

"If you don't mind me asking you Kari, what exactly have you been through that's so much worse than being kidnapped and almost got killed by a decepticon?" Arcee said not expecting much worse than that experience. Kari froze and put the bite she was about to put in her mouth down slowly. She gulped and looked down so her eyes were hidden by the shadows of her bangs.

"... I... I almost died once... A bunch of bullies went after me one day while I was alone since Kaiser got into trouble. They came at me with the intent to kill. I'm different from everyone else. I have these silver waning crescent moon symbols on my back, torso, tops and palms of my hands, tops and bottoms of my feet and my forehead. Top that off with weird pure white hair and creepy blood red cat like eyes and you got yourself a freak of nature. They cornered me and began to beat me to death... Then Kaiser rushed in and helped me, like always..." Kari gripped her right arm. "I... I was stabbed too and shot at... I don't think I'd be able to survive that again... I barely made it and that's only because Kaiser came in... I..." Kari gulped with a shaky tone. " I... don't wanna talk about this anymore... It hurts to remember..." Kari looked away and shivered lightly, her gaze still at the ground. Bumblebee looked sad then glared at Arcee since she was the one to ask. Arcee felt sympathy for Kari since there were so many people who wanted to hurt her.

"My apologies Kari....I didn't expect to hear such a tragic series of events happen to you." Arcee apologized as she looked at Bulkhead and Bumblebee to try and cheer her up.

"It's ok... You didn't know..." Kari replied then she tightened her hands into fists then punched the metal floor, leaving a dent. Kari blinked then stood up and backed away quickly.

"How- What?! Did I r-really just leave a dent in the floor?" She gulped and stared at the dent in shock and slight fear. Bulkhead blinked and stared with his mouth open slightly. Bumblebee jumped back a bit getting startled from the sudden loud noise of the dent being made as Arcee's eyes widened from how strong Kari was.

"How, I was never able to do this before." Kari shivered and gulped. "I really am a freak... N-no wonder everyone's afraid of me, they somehow knew." Kari gulped and began to overreact. Bulkhead shook his.

"No , you're not a freak Kari. You're just... Really strong." Bulkhead stated nervously and Kari looked at him.

"Really?" She asked with a small smile while her symbols began to glow through her clothing as her emotions got more intense. Everyone who was in the room with Kari moved back a bit in shock that Kari was glowing an intense silver light.

"Yeah, there's nothing wrong with being strong it's a good thing when you need to stand up for yourself Kari." Arcee said as she couldn't think of what could be causing this to happen. Bumblebee was unable to speak or think of anything as he only thought about how cool Kari looked like that with just about every inch of her glowing silver. Kari blinked and giggled, eventually Ratchet walked in and went wide eyed then left to inform Optimus about this in the other room before anyone had seen him.

"Optimus," Ratchet stated upon seeing Optimus. "You need to come see the human. Something weird is happening." Optimus looked over to Ratchet who seemed in a bit of a panic and started to follow after Ratchet to see what he had to show him. Ratchet then pointed to the glowing child and gave him a look as if saying "I told you we should not have let her stay." Optimus looked shocked to see Kari glowing.

"We need to find out what is causing this, this is a good thing we were able to save her from Starscream. Who knows what would have happened if Megatron had his hands on this child." Optimus said looking at Ratchet.

Kari let out a giggle to the three around her, not noticing Optimus or Ratchet. She then remembered something and looked at Bulkhead. "Hey, Bulkhead. Can you take me to my orphanage please so I can look through the rubble to see if I can find some of my stuff?" She asked, the glow dimming slightly. Bulkhead shrugged.

"I dunno, Starscream could be looking for you." Bulkhead hummed.

"Please!" Kari frowned. "I really wanna look!" Bulkhead looked at Optimus, since he heard him talking moments ago. He had a questioning look on his face.

"Kari we understand how important it is to you that you go back and look for your things, but like Bulkhead said, and we don't want you being put at risk of getting hurt." Arcee said looking down at Kari.

"Aw but... But... Chase is there." Kari's symbols were now glowing a sad blue color as she sniffled. "Please! I really wanna get Chase. I won't take too long, honest. Please!! Please!!" Kari begged with big sad eyes.

"Why don't we all go and keep a perimeter around Kari so if Starscream tries to get close we'll shoot him down." Bumblebee said looking at the small group. Kari jumped up and down, her symbols now going to a bright silver with a little bit of ecstatic, electric yellow.

"I won't be goin." Ratchet huffed. "You all can go, I have work to do here."

"Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and myself will go and if trouble occurs we will retreat for the time being." Optimus said looking at the three before him. The three autobots nodded their heads in agreement. Kari smiled and giggled, giving everyone a hug, even Ratchet who just shoved her away.

"THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!" Kari called out in glee and smiled, her glow now a pure ecstatic, electric yellow. Bulkhead chuckled and transformed and let Kari ride with him, letting Kari lead the way as the others followed Bulkhead.

"Almost there, make a right at the next light and then go straight for a while." Kari smiled and then the four arrived at the old orphanage. Bulkhead let Kari out and stayed near by to watch her. The other three stood close by keeping a sharp eye out just in case.

"Lets see..." Kari hummed as she dug through the rubble. She found her skateboard first, some notepads along with a few mechanical pencils and books, her pajamas and finally a plush toy that looked home made. It was a pure black dragon with a brown string collar with a fang tied around it. His almond shaped bead eyes were gold and he had bat like wings, long silver horns and oval petal shaped ears that were about half his horn length. His tail fins were a similar shape to his ears, except they were fatter in a sense, and above both his eyes were slim silver diamond shapes. Kari gasped happily and hugged the toy close with a big smile then grabbed her silver knapsack, which she brought along to help her carry her things, then trotted to Optimus with a smile and he let her in. "This is it. And no what's his name anywhere." Kari giggled but a jet boom could be heard and Kari shivered. "I jinxed it didn't I?" Kari whined and her symbols stopped glowing, since they were glowing a glistening happy silver the whole time she searched.

"It's time to go." Bumblebee said to everyone as his engine roared.

"Yup, let's get a move on." Bulkhead called, revving his engine. Arcee popped a wheelie as she drove for headquarters. Optimus drove leading everyone, but also being careful about the jet in the sky. Starscream grumbled.

"I could have sworn my sensors picked something up... Whatever..." He growled then left, his attitude slightly bitter. Kari shivered and hugged Chase.

"I'm sorry Optimus. I'm really sorry." Kari sniffled.

"It's fine Kari, he didn't find us so it's alright we'll be back in a bit." Optimus said reassuring Kari.

"It's ok. I actually found all my things. So we don't need to come back. Pajamas, books and notebooks, my skateboard and Chase." Kari smiled. "I also found a few pencils and erasers for me to use if I need to." Kari giggled as she looked through her knapsack, taking inventory. Optimus let out a chuckle as he was happy to see Kari in high spirits. "I wonder why he was there..." Kari thought out loud with a sigh.

"I'm not sure either, but whatever it was he lost track of it." Optimus said as he and the others pulled into the headquarters safely. Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Arcee turned back into their robot forms once inside. Kari hopped out of Optimus, holding Chase with her knapsack on her back while Optimus transformed.

"Huh, oh. Your back..." Ratchet said, sounding as grumpy as ever. Kari frowned.

"Is he really old?" Kari asked, turning to Optimus. Optimus shook his head.

"Ratchet isn't that old... But he's the oldest among us." Optimus said looking down to Kari. The girl shrugged and blinked, walking off. Optimus watched as Kari walked off as he looked back over to Ratchet. Arcee went to go keep an eye on Kari as Bumblebee joined her and Bulkhead did his own thing. Ratchet worked in his lab with a grumble, not liking that Kari was still living with the autobots. Kari looked at Arcee and Bumblebee as she sat on the small couch that was set on the big couch's rim so she could sit with the autobots and not be squished. There was a ladder along the back of the big metal couch so Kari could get up to her couch easily. She then held out Chase to show them.

"This is Chase." She smiled. "He keeps me calm when Kaiser isn't around." Kari informed innocently with a small giggle.

"It's a cute little...Human stuffed animal toy." Arcee said as she looked at it.

"It looks cute." Bumblebee said with a smile.

"Thanks, I dunno where he came from but I've had him my whole life." Kari stated. The two robots nodded their heads thinking it was adorable how she had a little stuffed friend to keep her calm. Kari smiled then Arcee showed Kari around the place then Kari went off to have some fun since there was not much to do on a saturday like today. Then it was time for her to head to bed by the time it was ten o'clock. Kari changed into her black and gold striped pajama tank and shorts then let her hair down, which was slightly above her shoulders while her hair groups were still tied in silver ribbon and were slightly below her chin. She held Chase and curled up under her blanket and fell asleep with a small smile.
