(I'm a bit rusty on Transformers AOE. Sorry if I made any mistakes)

Although the war has been won, Lockdown being deceased,
and KSI being shut down, Optimus must take the seed away from Earth, so another crisis may not happen again involving the seed.

Some thought he would have left immediately. But they were wrong.

One person kept his from leaving.

You.

Optimus thought it was only appropriate that he say a proper 'see you soon', to you. A farewell to a friend from their guardian.

At least, in his helm he thought that.

His spark begged a differ.

Optimus has decide to stay until the next day, and leave in the morning.

It was late at night. Maybe 12:30 in the morning.

There, under a large tree on a meadow full for soft, healthy grass, sat a young women by the name of (Y/n).

With her back leaned against the tree, she continued to stare at the partly covered stars in the sky with her (e/c) eyes.

Although it was early in the morning and there was no light, (Y/n)'s eyes had already adjusted to the dark- letting her see at least three feet around her.

As (Y/n) continued to stare up at the stars, she started thinking about the past.

She remembers clearly how she got involved in all of this.

She remembers it clearly.

She remembered how she had met Sam through her best friend, Carly. It was the day after Sam had asked Carly to be his girlfriend.

And being Clary's best friend, you were like a protective older sister to her.

So you weren't afraid when you punched her boss on the nose and kicked his 'family jewel' after he stared at her behind while she wasn't looking and tried to flirt with her.

Ah, what memories.

Anyways...

(Y/n) remembered finding out that Sam used to have an alien robot for his first car.

And that Sam's car is in a private military base.

And then, finding out her uncle, William Lenox, knew all about this orientation.

Of course, you 'politely' asked for an explanation from Sam.

And by politely, I mean you holding a revolver at his head.

A girls got to have protection, right?

And with all the training your uncle taught you to do when you were younger, especially with hand-to-hand combat and weapons, he thought it was appropriate to get you a revolver for your birthday when you were 18.

But after all the confusion was cleared up, you decided to stay with Sam and Carly.

And hopefully meet the guardian of your uncle.

Ironhide, was his name.

The second you had a chance to go with Sam and Clary to the Autobot base, you didn't hesitate to tag along with them.

Once you had met Ironhide, you two instantly became locked- both of you having a fetish for weaponry.

But of course, the most clearest part (Y/n) had remembered, was meeting Optimus.

And more importantly, the words.

"I presume you are (Y/n) Lenox? Niece of William Lenox?"

Just the fact that Optimus knew, who she was with out her making a single noise, surprised her more then anything. But after that, (Y/n) had also come to be good friends with the Prime.

But then their was Laserbeak, who had tried to assassinate her. Luckily, Optimus came just in time to shoot him off with some damage.

After that happened, Optimus had decided to become her guardian stating that, 'The Decepticons want something from you and I cannot let them harm a fellow comrade,'

But of course, there came Sentinel Prime from the moon.

It broke your heart to see Ironhide, who you deemed as a close friend, turn to rust and break apart into dust by one shot from Sentinel Prime.

And it broke your heart even more when you found out the Autobots were being forced to leave Earth on their ship. And then their ship being blown up by a Decepticon.

But after that, Chicago was being attacked and at a tower, the 'pillars' were activated by Sentinel and with Megatron, they tried to transport Cybertron to Earth.

After getting Carly back from her boss with Sam and finding your uncle and some of his 'war buddies', you were relieved to find out all the Autobots were alive and ready to fight.

After the battle was over and the whole city of Chicago was destroyed, the remaining Cybertronians began to be hunted down.

That caused every Autobot to split up and go into hiding.

Of course, you were worried when Optimus told you to go with Bumblebee, deeming it much safer if you were not with him.

And so after months of waiting in Texas with some other Autobots, (Boy, did Crosshairs love to tease you when ever he got the chance), you heard a call in the radio that made you sigh in relief.

"Calling all Autobots!"
"Calling all Autobots!"

And of course another battle happened with no losses this time. But only gains.

Big gains like the Dinobots.

Though, as (Y/n) was thinking about the past, she was obvious to the sound of heavy steps coming her way and the figure crouching down to her hight.

"(Y/n)?"

(Y/n) slightly jumped as she looked at the owners voice.

"Oh, Optimus. You startled me a bit,"

"My apologies," Optimus said as his bright blue eyes glowed. "But, I am wondering what you are doing here at this hour,"

"I...I just couldn't sleep, that's all," (Y/n) said softly as she turned to look back up at the sky.

"What is your reasoning for that?" Optimus asked softly as he gently picked her up and sat down as he held her in front of him.

"....I don't want you to go Optimus... I'll miss you too much that it'll hurt," (Y/n) explained as she held her legs to her chest and lowered her head to rest against her knees.

A warm large digit softly slid underneath (Y/n) chin and tilted her head up to him.

"In order to make this planet, your home, safe, it is required for me to remove the seed from here," Optimus then paused. "I care for you (Y/n), deeply, and because I care for you, I must remove what may bring harm to your home," Optimus said as he stared in (y/n)'s (e/c) eyes with his own glowing ones.

"But, I will miss you as well,"

(Y/n) stared at Optimus in the optics as he moved his digit from her chin to her cheek and nudged it a bit.

Optimus then brought (Y/n) close to his spark chamber (or you can just say chest) and looked up at the twinkling stars.

"Whenever you think of me," Optimus then pointed up at the stars. "Look to the stars and think of these words," He then looked down at (Y/n) who stared at him, waiting.

"I promise to come back to you,"

(That felt weird when I typed that...)

(Y/n) jolted awake with a small gasp as she slowly took in her surroundings.

The birds were chirping,

There was a war breeze that passed by in the air,

The sun is up for a peaceful morning..

Morning...

(Y/n) looked around her to hopefully see her guardian somewhere. But it was in vain when she saw that he was no where to be seen.

So Optimus left...

(Y/n) was lying on her side on top of the soft healthy grass as she thought of those words.

She closed her eyes as she thought of Optimus and their last moment.

Once (Y/n) opened her eyes, she saw a bright blue glow in her peripheral vision beside her which caught her eye.

Once (Y/n)'s eyes made contact with the object, she saw it was a bright blue crystal- about the size of her palm.

The crystal glowed faintly, but enough to notice.

(Y/n) then reached out and gently picked it up. She noticed how warm it was to the touch- which made her unconsciously smile.

She then noticed two delicately carved words on one flat side of the crystal and then hugged the crystal to her chest with care.

"I promise"
