Ch. 37 | Zero; Ruler of Death

The Decepticons:

"Mother."

Annabelle took a note of the presence behind her, hesitantly getting her conscious on other thoughts. With single hand raise she let the person know to be quiet for second, her eyes again concentrating to seal an Ancient stone back to the death books. It was dangerous, especially if it was made by her Son. Not even she had run into it while being trained by the raised Commanders from the very dead.

"It's urgent." Annabelle knew it was Zero and she was caught by surprise when single hand brush of his and the stone was in millions of pieces. The Mother briefly faced her all grown up son's eyes, taking a good look of his now hazel eye-color again. But she wasn't afraid, but only ended up sighing in defense and raising her brow.

"Yes, Zero?" Annabelle was to get her other bussinesses done, but stopped after feeling Zero's hand on her shoulder then. She made a turn as soon as she felt something was wrong, taking a good look of his body before making out a dark pointed spot on his right hip. "How can it...?"

"Can you help?" Zero vinced by his Mother's touch, biting his lip. Annabelle made 'tch' voice, picking up a needle from the table as she injected it to her vein, taking a blood dose. "No, not again--"

"It's the only solution." And the young woman injected the spot, waiting for next few seconds before seeing some results. His skin was again normal, her blood preventing him from turning into a monster. Although Zero didn't look happy, his shoulder lowered almost in disappointment as Annabelle walked past him to continue her jobs with the dark witch-magma. "Don't feel bad. I do like to keep you as one of us."

"Even though I am not." Zero spit, looking at his ritual spot which he has to do once in a day by his Mother's help. It helps him from hearing voices and for rage to take any control.

"Zero. We've talked of this." Annabelle sighed while taking her spear on the use, making her own magic by developing a medical dose for Emily to the afternoon. "... Where's your Father?"

"Out." Zero sat down on a chair. Watching Annabelle work. He couldn't ignore the look she gave to him, his brow raising. "With Abigail again."

"Did Master send them?" Annabelle was doing now research, letting out a groan when she couldn't reach her pliers. But suddenly they were there, she making a grateful wink back to the boy knowing it was him.

Zero briefly scoffed.

"Master, master, master..." Zero murmured diviosly. "You planning to live up for him your whole life? Without thinking what exactly you want yourself?"

Annabelle hit the pleirs to the table. The air was tense, yet neither of the litigants were to back down now. It was rageous for Annabelle who so hard tried to raise Zero as a proper adult, knowing that wasn't possible. John was trying his best too... this child had even gone her to doubt being Galvatron's subject. How was she going to get Zero to stay? He could already deside what to do with his life, he was an adult.

"... Can you, bring me the energon?" Annabelle looked beside her, preferring the pile of some energon. Zero obeyed without further questioning or arguing, bringing the whole sack of it as slamming it on the table. "Thank you." She took one shard, crumbling it to the Dark energon she was working on. But Zero didn't leave it there, he knew he could be dominating and has surprassed his Mother already. Yet he knew what parents ment... and he respected them much.

"Mom... you know this isn't life." Zero was going easy, watching Annabelle's each reaction. She was going on easy too, listening for time being. "I don't trust Galvatron, Abigail, Impactor or anyone. I want out to freedom, but I wish not to leave you and Dad behind."

"You talk like you know everything..." Annabelle was hiding her face with the long red hair, stopping what she was doing for second. Yes, Zero didn't know of Unicron, the Team X, the dangers outside nor the way he had his start. It was too high-risked... and even Galvatron knew it. "But in reality, there's a pure evil world outside."

"Then let me out to explore and see it myself." Zero lent to the table, narrowing to look at his Mother. But Annabelle was clearly avoiding eye contact, he getting frustrated because of it. "Mom."

"Zero..." Annabelle growled, warning. Zero bit his lip, forcing his Mother to look at him. "You are not allowed to leave this Kingdom!" But Annabelle brushed herself away, trying to have other thoughts by working again.

"Why Mom?" Zero demanded, right behind. "Is it because I am like this?"

Annabelle froze, slowly turning to see now a different person there. Zero's transformation was hell of a kind; his form resembled like a Satan straight from hell with his two horns, black eyes, burning cloath and muscular builted body covering his shapes. The young female thinked it all over again, taking her spear as with one smooth move managed to tackle Zero down to his back. The boy may be strong, but he was inexperienced.

"It's because you're not ready." Annabelle groaned, turning for her job by pouring some gas into mouse-cage. Sounds terrible, I know. "Train harder with your Father... after all he's the one desiding of your faith when you're able to take one step outside."

Zero got done. He left the room with smashing the door close, leaning the wall. His hand grasped his heart point, once he was cooling himself down. He could easily release something really destructive for the all of them; and he refused to lay a single finger on his Mother. Even though he was a monster, he had a heart. The only thing that kept him on move was because of the pulsing object within... the only thing that made him feel like alive.

"Zero!"

The man rose his gaze, hearing John's voice echoe through the halls. But it was odd. So distant... pained? So this got Zero into other thoughts, just when he was to go and check Annabelle ran out of the same door to stare at the long hall. Her eyes wide and angry.

"John!?" Annabelle screamed back, holding Zero back when he was to launch and assist his Father. This was totally knew for him. They listened, hearing blasts and groans of pain. Fighting. "Galvatron!" The girl commed in, still holding down the young man behind her. Zero felt pain and something pulled hin towards the direction. It was hard to restrain himself.

:Annabelle-- call it red-danger! Unicron's here to get what belongs to him.:

Zero almost flinched by what Galvatron had said. He usually didn't listen to what he said, but this might've be the right time. And he was so shocked to see his Creator get so mad in few seconds, yet something holded her down to just launch into a fight. Someone formed to the clearance of the end to the hall... who else than a bloody John.

"GO--!" John's body was punched inbetween a hard solid brick wall as well concidered a hard servo, Zero taking his sweet time to stare at an unknown Cybetronian male with purple optics. Which soon locked with his.

"We need to move!" Annabelle grasped her son's hand and made run for it then. Zero was playing on thin lines, but if it was concidered his parents safety he was to protect them at all cost. His Father did have a bad habit to be saving people all the time... and this was one of the times. Why did his old-man had to be so idiot!?

"Mom--!" Zero saw a coming wall which Annabelle wouldn't notice in time, his very trained arms easily scooping his light Mother as he kept running the halls. Only hearing footsteps after them. "What's going on!?"

"Keep on running!" Annabelle squirmed to lay on Zero's shoulder as she changed her spear into a blaster, aiming properly. The boy underneath didn't complain, and she was glad. "It's no longer a secret... but I must explain you one thing."

"Mom?" Zero asked rather in disbelief; but then.

Zero's legs were swifted off of him, ending both of them fell down with loud thumb. But Zero took the hits like a well trained/raised son living in the knowledge that his body could take on the powerfullest weapon on Zequel. It was like made from Titan itself.

"-- I am here not to interrupt anything?"

Zero got into a protective-mode by putting Annabelle down as he went to cover. His somehow humongous and beautiful blade transformed out, as he turned for his transformation style. Annabelle was by now panicking of the whole situation, like stubborn as she was she rose to stand, glaring at the approaching Titan behind a smokescreen. Each step he took felt like changing the world, Zero glaring the figure deadly.

"But I do allow goodbyes, my beloved Zero." It was indeed Unicron with his rising shining armor. (Note the sarcasm.)

"How do you know my name?" Zero demanded, holding the spear really threatenly forward. The larger Cybetronian only chuckled deeply as it rose his chest plating each time, his optics traveling back to look at the flinching Annabelle.

"You haven't told about his real Master, my beloved Annabelle?" Unicron acted like a sadistic sad member, which he clearly wasn't. And Zero saw it right from his eyes.

"Shut up!" Annabelle simply blocked all of the voices out by covering her ears. Earning a grin from the Titan.

"I have no Masters." Zero argued, not understanding who was this person to get his Mother this defendless. "You make no exception."

"Oh, but I most certainly do--" Unicron was proceeding forward, Zero intended to prevent that. But found himself unable to. Only frozen on the very spot he so briefly was threatening the Cybetronian... but no longer couldn't. In fact again the horrifying voiced haunted his head, making a sweat drop form up for his forehead. "Because there can be only one ruler for your destined power and will; for I am the one true Master of your soul."

Zero did his best trying to move, not understanding with by a single look into his eyes and it got him all moveless. Such a raw power... the kind of the inexperienced boy hadn't run before.

"UNICRON."

And such a huge shockwave was sent to the Cybetronian's chest. Sending him multiply back but Unicron blocked the electricity's power by grasping Annabelle's power within his grasp, laughing this time out loud by his succeess. He has managed to surprass finally Galvatron's human companions. And then there was John.

Annabelle was caught by surprise, her plan failing as she took a step back. But she surely never left for covering her only child but transformed her spear back, holding it firmly in front.

"Still in the mood of defying me?" Unicron started getting patient as he sensed the other Decepticons approaching again, his sword sliced out with sharp grin. Annabelle gave no reply, only got into her needed position. Zero still unmoved behind. "You are such a small little pest."

"I'll take that as a complement, traitor." Annabelle cocked right back, their conversation having Zero to have a really bad headache. He couldn't understand what was going on, why? Did these two know each other-- Unicron a traitor? "But heed my words. I am not to let you pass."

"Old same old..." Unicron got ready, as well as Annabelle too. These two were ready to pay back the past and fight for Zero. "History indeed keeps on scrolling over and over again."

Annabelle launched forward with the loudest charging roar her throat could scream out, only to increase her will to fight again. Unicron remained on his spot while awaiting the human female's move, his processor getting caught off guard once she used somekind of Dark energon injection on him; managing with a single stab of her spear to get it into his energon circulation. But Unicron didn't allow her to get back safely as he slammed his fist for her body, sending her to a wall with the terrifiest impact which would haunt Zero forever. He wanted to yell, go for his Mother and help her. He wanted to help, use his God damn powers once upon time for something good. But he couldn't. As only Unicron approached him again through the smokescreen.

"Z-Zero--!" Annabelle crawled out with loud coughs, Zero frozing in terror as Unicron's blaster was directed towards her direction. Without him even looking nor caring. She wasn't even transformed anymore so that was going to make some proper damage compared for his mere power shed with blood.

"MOM!" Zero snapped out of all that. But too late. When he was again able to move his body he saw the flying purple plasma slowly go towards his Creator, who wasn't expecting it either. It was a deadly shot. And Zero couldn't still control his fast-movementals for such a long time. But suddenly the plasma had hit on something else, sending it then to the roof above as it crumbled bit. Again damaging the Kingdom bit. Zero tried to see through the smoke, relief brushing over him as he saw who's shield was there in front to cover Annabelle. "Lucy..."

The young girl now involved with the fight brushed her glowing-rope straight at Unicron as she grabbed his arm, pulling him down to the ground and forcing him up to his back. Then Abigail formed up thus Mira and Ash, these two climbing on him while quickly without his recovering started blasting on his chest plating. Until they stopped, clearly allowing another presence come with so much speed that Zero only stared. John came running with his body all covered up with his own blood, yet he made his move by jumping up and coming down at Unicron with his fist up. It crashed. Making the Ancient evil's chest crumble apart. Shatter a bit.

"Guys..." Annabelle stared, everyone seemed to only watch at the now laying Unicron there. Had he gone unconscious?

"I'd say ten points for team work." Lucy turned for Annabelle, giving her a hand as she helped her to stand up properly. "And this time five points only for you of holding him off this long." Annabelle smiled and made a grateful look, before looking down at her husband and son.

John jumped down, quickly making his way over to Zero who was still staring in awe at the fallen body now. John made his presence clear indeed, but he was hesitant of touching John but he did; glad that Zero reacted only with flinch.

"Are you okay?" John required, seeing his hesitant nod. But the Father did pull him against his hard chest to hug, which Zero was caught by surprise too. Zero knew that it was going to take some time before he was to surprass John, although it was close. His powers were already equal to his.

"-- It has became time to rise, God of Death."

John couldn't prevent it, but stumbled multiply back after his face was hit very badly. That was going to take some time to heal. But what really was the issue here that Unicron had went to Zero; covering his body with his larger frame as he settled something on him. John couldn't do a thing; as rest of the humans only realized it seconds later.

"Zero!" Emily screamed, Abigail using quite sheer-plasma power to hit Unicron's sides. Then huge pedes passed Emily and the standing Ash, some hope rising inside them as they knew who these were. "Dreadwing-- Zero's there!"

The two Twins settled both sides of Unicron, groaning quite loudly as they intended to rose the intruder off and take him down by any means necessary. But the larger mech was stubborn and hit their sides multiply; refusing to stand off from Zero who hadn't said a single word out of his mouth. And no one couldn't see him.

"Allow me." Impactor knuckled his neck cables as his humongous arms grabbed Unicron's, he raising him up to the air finally. But he didn't do what others did and check on Zero first, but he throwed Unicron against a wall quite badly, nextly stepping on for his chest. Pressing him to the wall very patiently. "You have been quite the trouble-some." Unicron was laughing still, gazing with death-look up at Impactor.

"Zero?" Annabelle painly asked, noticing only how the boy was now back to everyone, once in a while moving his fingers. Annabelle and others were sensing something was wrong, their insticts warning them entirely.

"Son?" John stopped Annabelle as he himself was to check on Zero. He took the front to make some eye contact with Zero, but saw his gaze lowered. "Did he do something to you?" John gripped his jaw, but only thing left to see him was blood. His hand was gone. Same went that he was send back with huge air draft; toxicating. "Zero!" John was covered by Abigail and his shield, every human looking painfully at Zero who was slowly turning like straight from a horror-movie. But it was too late and everyone knew it. "No...."

Zero possessed now very black colored eyes like John, yet it had absorved his eyes and face purely that it made him look like a demon. His veins were pulsing abnormally and powerful shockwaves were sent to the ground. Everyone saw that pulsing Stone connected up to his chest, their eyes growing wide second by second.

"... What did you do to him?" Mira demanded, turning for Unicron who had his victory-laughs. "Answer me!"

"He, my beloved friends; is the Death God from the Ancients--" Zero oddly looked up like liveless creature. Before there was a lightning striked to the ground straight above, hitting him with so much force that it would've roasted a normal human within three seconds. "Aron."

By simply bringing his name out the Earth begun crumbling, shaking the ground rapidly beneath all of them. John hadn't run up into so God-powered human ever, Zero had much more within him that none of them knew to be true. He had turned like a young-God with his black clothes, horns, blade and everything. Until he switched again. John's Son's clothes switched into something far more human-like... only leaving on him a black T-shirt with nice blue jeans now resembling him as a human. Making him look like trust-worthy.

"What have you done to him?" Annabelle was crying, turning with death-look towards Unicron. "Why can't he understand us!?"

"He no longer does what you tell him." Unicron got Impactor off of him with single kick on the face as he swung himself up, locking his optics with Zero. "I am from now on this World's newest Ruler. No one stands against Zero's skills and power within which are countlessly very powerful. It is impossible to even block a single plasma from him."

"Zero--" John backed down his hands up as those black eyes deepened to look at him, they so non-emotionless that John couldn't see was it even him or not. "Please."

The man turned. Only leaving the Kingdom after Unicron who was stumbling towards outside-world.

"Do not... interrupt." Zero's last words said. Believe me or not none of the Stone Carriers dared to launch into a fight. They watched their leave with pained memories, Annabelle fell to the ground even crying.

Zero...

Has it become time for the world to end?
