Ch. 36 | The Ark Pt. 2
Optimus:
"Maybe few starts and presses this one down, and it should be fine." Perceptor reached forward, samely trying to fix the wire he had been working on the last few minutes. His optics traveled then to Megatron who was twitching down a manual operating, which after lots of tries finally went down. And the motor roared to life.
"Frag that." Megatron did his victory punch on the monitors, it indeed got the ship finally operating and even moving up. "Do you hear that?" He grinned at Optimus who looked relief, knowing that they had a way to rescue their frozen Charges after such an exhaustion accident.
"Let's hope it stays." Elita was leaning on the doorframe, looking out and inside once in a while. "Any idea where the children has gone off to, Mom?"
There was a plasma shot beneath Elita's pedes, Zoe even rose her gaze to see quite annoyed looking Praxina, Ann and Chris. These three now fooling around on the ground, yet in everyone's sight.
"We're teenagers." Savannah groaned, Predaking's tail twitched as the girl accidentally tremped for her own feet and fell. But she was fine, walking away like a drama Queen. Elita rolled her optics, only getting interest as Optimud left the ship. His optics scanning the area.
"We ready to roll?" Katie scretched her arms, ready to enter the operating ship anytime now. But Optimus had gotten worried all of a sudden.
"Has anyone seen Jack lately?" Perceptor came out after he cleaned his servos into a towel and throwed it aside like a piece of garbage. "Chromia will have my helm if he doesn't stop fooling around and something happens."
"... I realized that Iris ain't here either." Chris rubbed his hair, turning his gaze towards the darker room point. "Yo, Iris! Jack! If you scare the shit out of me I'll eat you alive--!"
"OPTIMUS!"
Like a sprinting tornado; the former Prime slipped to make run for it. He didn't care was her voice terrorized or was it just for fooling around, but Iris sounded frightened. And it sounded far, down below. So Optimus went easily through the rusted metal before looking for two possible directions, taking the one where he heard still Iris' and Jack's yells of horror.
"Iris!?" Praxina wasn't far behind, so went for most of her team. Even Elita was there to help, Zoe staying behind with Megatron.
Optimus came to stop by a small hole, but it wasn't even a negotiatable manner as he jumped to go through too. Ann, and Praxina had jumped to grab his shoulders, going with the fload down below. One floor down, second floor down. Until then came the third; a loud one. But Optimus kicked his way through, landing finally on his pedes like a freaking ninja, his frame shielding the two human femmes who had transformed, their eyes glimming in the darkness ready to take down everything. The screams were from down there. Optimus was certain of it.
"Optimus!" Iris' faint voice called. The Guardian's helm looked around, not making out a single sight of his Charge. Nor didn't Praxina or Ann either. "Down here!"
Until the blue orbs looked beneath his pedes, seeing two pairs of hands pressed to the glassy wall as Iris' face was showing there. Jack right beside, banging the glass in order to break it.
"We'll get you out of there in no time!" Praxina reassured, taking her spear out as the sharp point was directed to the fragmental looking glass. But the ground shaked, causing her and Ann fell down before tentacles came from the dark to wrap them up and pull into the darkness. "Whatta--!?"
Optimus got his blaster to shoot down everything, before hearing a familiar voice.
"There is no need to use force. I am, to be in peace with you."
"-- Siri?" Optimus required, feeling how Perceptor, Elita, Predaking and Drift landed behind him. Katie only gasped with Savannah, keeping distance for everything else than their Guardians. Suddenly the room around them flickered into life, forming maybe the brightest and whitest room of all time, making it impossible for everyone to see at first. But after multiple blinks they started scanning the room... it resembled of a training room to be exact.
"Oi!" Praxina was hanging upside down with Ann, their faces so red that cherry would be second for them. "Put us down, will ya!?"
And the tentacles agreed, the glass also beneath Optimus' pedes revealed wide open. The rushy Iris and Jack quickly crawled out, hiding mostly behind Optimus with huge pants.
"Hello, Optimus." It was the main computer, female voiced.
"Siri... how long have you been operated since the war?" Optimus asked, an idea crossed his mind that she had been the one putting all security systems back on. Avoiding any further stealing from the ship.
"Three cycles. Your arrival brought me back online, as I have been commanded to train your team."
Now this got everyone interested.
"You what?" Ann brushed the dirt off of her snow-cloath, looking up at the glowing light which would pulse everytime the femme spoke up. Everyone knew she wasn't real. Only a helper of the ship, possibly protector of it too. A main computer... how nice.
"From the toppest stage I have been given these weapons--" Suddenly around them started to rose up something which caused smokescreen form up, but the humans nor Bots weren't anymore scared. Just watching in deep curiosity. But even the sight of these beauties caused wide expressions... they were like a present from God. "After you've passed the training stage of mine."
Each and all one glass pod had one humongous blade, and a blaster for a Bot. But beside it lied just smaller sizes, even though much bigger and heavier looking than any of the humans were. They looked so powerful. Ancient. Terrifying killer machines. They must've shed so much blood and energon, making it impossible for Iris and her friends to quickly approach these things. They looked like ready to attack back.
"Are they... for us?" Jack touched the glass point where was below a picture of a hewn boy and a female Bot, they so similar for Chromia and him. "Is this mine?"
"What could possible be ours...?" Praxina was rounding the circle, stopping only after her eyes landed on a gray colored Cybetronian's blade, as beside it was laying much smaller yet purple colored blaster and blade. This had to be theirs. "This is so cool!"
"Siri... Alpha Trion told you to train us?" Iris asked, looking up at the thin air not sure who was she actually speaking to.
"That is correct. He is my Creator, so I will do my best of helping all 18 of you to adapt for the incoming fights." Siri explained.
"You're training our Bots too?" Ann questioned, wondering what was Causeway doing outside.
"Naturally. But I will have to separate humans for own field, and Cybetronians for another. Until I have taught you basic rules of war and fighting on this planet I will do my last test."
"That is...?" Savannah had gained some interest of this subject. Claps for that girl.
"You will fight; against your own Guardian."
Iris' eyes met coldly Optimus', who had the same idea also. To fight against Optimus? That concern wouldn't leave her head for awhile.
"I've waited to beat that Bucket-head's ass." Praxina knuckled her wrist, devilish grin taking control of her face as she laughed. Evilly.
Everyone had to glance back was she alright.
"That means that we have to stay." Perceptor rubbed his audioreceptor, taking his sweet time processing the whole conversation still. "Do we?"
"This is a chance we absolutely cannot refuse." Optimus was staring up at Siri, his mind so grateful that they happened to run into her. "We are safe down here, for further nod we will stay aboard this ship in the content rooms ment for highly trained warrior females. In order to avoid getting sick for the plagma scattered around here."
"Are you insane?" Ann almost choked. "I won't be living on a ship full of dead corpses!"
"Do we have a choice?" Chris yawned, his muscular arms once again crossed as he had desided to listen the conversation only. "At least we don't have to deal with the 'Cons or Unicron in a while."
There were two sides now; others wanted to stay and the others to leave. Guess who's all heads turned to look at?
"Geez." Iris blinked, taking a grip of her hips as she turned to look away. Trying to get hold of her own thoughts. Being a Leader everything sucks, especially when you need to make a decision which always doesn't satisfy everyone. "Well... Chris is right on one thing, we wouldn't have to deal with our enemies at the moment thus this could be a good training journey. Think what we can learn."
"Seriosly!?" Ann was so damn sure that Iris wasn't going to stay down there.
"Alright!" Praxina squealed, excited of the weapons she was going to get after passing some tests. "Let's go and get others down here too. I want to see that Bucket-head's face."
Iris made a nod.
.
.
.
"I'm not accepting."
Iris blinked to Chromia's behaviour, seeing the femme only lay down and turn her side so she was back towards their young Leader. Causeway, Moonracer and Andrea agreeing, crossing their arms. Almost like ignoring the whole herd now trying to persuade them.
"Chromia, please." Jack sighed. "We've got no choice. I'm not staying out here nor go outside to that Arctic coldness! We'll die in there."
"Why to go out if we can stay in here?" Causeway rubbed her digits on each other, glancing the mechs and humans with bit of a glare. "I knew some of those femmes aboard the ship, the only thing we can do is to respect their graves not to interrupt their resting place."
"You're so stubborn..." Ann bit her lip, ready to go and punch her.
"It's not like we're gonna sleep next to them." Praxina scoffed, murmuring the last part. She got quite brief glare from Causeway, this rose her temper rather quickly once she was ready to transform and launch. But yet again Megatron was there to cool her nerves down, pulling her out of sight. "We do know how to respect the dead!"
"My beloved friends, just a short time in the content rooms." Optimus pleaded, trying to remain calm as possible. "There haven't been none of the passengers, so I can assure you that no harm has come to the femmes in there."
"Still it's unforgivable to just invade the damn ship." Andrea sobbed, keeping her gaze away.
"Come on... we're able to get trained this way." Chris tried to cheer up, earning only distant looks from the girls. Alex had stayed out of the ship far as possible, but didn't argue about the training tho.
"It also provides your insticts about not sharing so much sympathy." Zoe had got enough for the fooling already, her spear transformed out as she transformed. That alarmed pretty much everyone expect for Elita. She neither didn't care or knew what was going to happen. "Do you know why do they call this world 'The Dimension of the Death'? It's because one slip; and you're dead. No one gives a damn and neither should any of you. Our human emotions are slightly small compared for Cybetronians, but why to grieve after something which has passed on?"
For further nod that was all Zoe had to say, before she walked towards the ship with Elita on her heels. The rest of the Team X watched, but Iris was shocked to see Moonracer scoff and stumble after the old woman. It did the trick anyways.
"I'm starting to wonder was it good to allow her accompany us." Ann placed her hand on Iris' shoulder, these two teenagers saw Causeway pissed as fuck as she simply ignored everyone. Taking maybe the simplest path by jumping and entering from outside to the content rooms. "All she gets is negativity."
"No kidding." Andrea growled when she and Perceptor passed them, her glare directed straight for Iris. That hurt, yet the Leader knew something had to be done.
"Alright, let's go!" Praxina dragged Megatron with, excited really of all this. Iris still watched that Chromia came too, had to say she wasn't any happy either. Iris somehow could understand them... but never really. She haven't felt something they had. Femmes and female humans doesn't much of have difference between them. They get emotionless very often.
"Are you fine?"
Iris realized again her zone out, noticing two pairs of blue orbs make sure again was her small fragile body and mind doing okay. Optimus got an answer yes by Iris' sad smile and nod, the girl gladly accepting his offered servo while she climbed on.
"You never stop worrying, do you?" Iris sighed, laying comfortably to sit while watching how Optimus was the last Cybetronian keeping the tail. Everyone heading towards the content rooms.
"Not while I am responsible of your well-state." Optimus firmly said, earning a slight humm in response.
... Is that all?
"-- We plan on sleeping first?"
Iris looked forward at Katie who rubbed her tired eyes, nextly a yawn escaped her throat. Drift chuckled, looking an agreemental as he wanted his Charge to have some rest.
"Of course. No training before proper rest--" This time it was Iris yawning, her mouth opening so wide as she gapped it wide open, causing her eyes all teary and tired.
"Ha!" Savannah laughed, pointing her finger right back at her. "I knew you weren't a doll or Cyborg only! You're a human like us and need sleep!"
"Since when has she been anything else...?" Alex wondered, Moonracer still pissed as she took no part in the conversation.
"Stop screwing around guys." Jack was half in sleep, almost snoring already. "We all know you're the real zombies... or more like mercenaries."
"Damn right I am!" Chris got all excited.
Iris lost her track of time, smiling while hearing a shouting competition between Savannah and Chris. Geez her team... yet she loved them.
But for that other conversation... who am I?
《~~|||~~》
