Sometimes Lance feels like he isn't good enough to be in a relationship with Shiro and Keith. When Shiro and Keith notice that Lance seems depressed they know why, so they do something about it.

Sometimes Lance wondered why Shiro and Keith asked him to be their boyfriend. He was a goofball; someone who 'didn't take things seriously' according to Keith. Shiro was the first one to notice Lance’s depressed behavior, and Keith noticed it shortly after. He did like Keith, but sometimes he wished that the Blue Paladin would be a little more mature.

"Keith." Shiro said once everyone left the dining room after breakfast, catching the younger man's attention.

"Yeah?" Keith asked Shiro, noticing the concerned tone in his boyfriend's voice.

"Have you seen Lance this morning?" Shiro questioned; Lance wasn't there for breakfast, which worried him.

"No, I haven't. Do you think something's up?" Keith asked, feeling a little worried as well.

"We should go check on him, just to make sure that he's alright. He's been depressed lately." Shiro commented, rubbing his chin with one of his fingers.

Keith agreed, and then they both left the dining room and headed straight to Lance’s bedroom. Shiro was worried that Lance was going through another teenage crisis or something. Once they reached said Paladin’s room, Shiro lightly knocked on the door. Lance let them in, leading them over to his bed.

"Is something on your mind?" Shiro gently asked Lance, not wanting to upset him.

"It's nothing." Lance replied, looking down at his lap; seeing Shiro and Lance only made him wonder why they wanted him.

"Yes it is. Stop denying it, Lance." Keith said seriously, but softly at the same time; his heart ached a little, seeing his younger boyfriend sad.

Lance sighed, unsure of what to say. He didn't want to question Shiro and Keith why they wanted him to be their boyfriend in fear of them breaking up with him and breaking his heart. Keith and Shiro made eye contact with each other, giving each other a knowing look.

"I just… I guess that I don't know why you both wanted to date me in the first place. I'm just the goofball of the team. There’s nothing special about me." Lance said sadly, his voice quiet.

"Lance…" Keith said, trailing off; he didn't mean to make Lance sad.

"Lance, you’re everything I- we could’ve wanted and more." Shiro told Lance, placing a hand in the middle of his back.

"We love you, Lance." Keith added, a soft smile gracing his face.

"You… You do?" Lance quietly asked Keith, a little surprised to hear such a thing come out of his ex rival's mouth.

"Yeah, we do." Keith said, blushing slightly as he hugged Lance.

Shiro smiled as he joined in on the hug, kissing Lance’s forehead. Lance shed a few tears; ones of both happiness and sadness. Shiro, Keith and Lance sat on the bed for several moments, the two older men comforting their slightly younger boyfriend. Eventually the three of them made their way to the kitchen so that Shiro and Keith could make Lance some breakfast since he missed out earlier. Thankfully, Hunk put some leftovers in the fridge.
