BTS happened to be at the same place, at the same time, eating dinner. Such a coincidence.
But that can't be helped since we are in the same place.
So just like back at the BigHit building, we sit in a large wooden rectangle table together.
I nibble on the chicken drumstick depressingly, like a spoilt child whose wants got rejected.
I'm still pretty butthurt from the truth of Soyoung's words. And I hate the fact that I'm butthurt from the truth.
"Are you guys just going back to your cabins after?" Hoseok asked disappointingly as if he wants us to say no.
"Hmm.. Is there any place around here that's interesting." I could tell Hyeji wanted to go around the place and make the most of it.
"Don't they have an ice rink here for skating?" Namjoon's face brightens.
. . .
"Thank you!" I grab the shoes and skip towards the nearest bench to put them on.
"How do you tighten this?" My fingers fidget around the shoes.
"Here." He settles himself on the floor, kneeling to fix the shoes.
"You just pull this. Is that tight enough?"
I lightly nod, despite that it's now too tight.
"Then you just clip it. There!" He looks up at me, beaming.
"Ah, I see." I look elsewhere as I feel my warming face. "You could've just told me and I would've done it myself." I lift myself up a little too fast, making me falter.
Jimin quickly gets up to hold me, but I already managed to hold onto the railings.
"I got it." I give him a thumbs up before escaping, flailing towards the other girls.
"Are you guys done? Let's goooooo," I rush them, eager to get into the ice.
"Wait, Jiwon is still in the bathroom." Kyoungji calmly says as she actions as if she's skating.
"Aish." There's not much people around, which I guess is a good thing. But I don't want to be alone skating by myself whilst the boys are there too.
"Okay, let's go." Jiwon finally walks out, hand combing through her hair.
Everyone else steps onto the rink first, letting myself go last.
I've always thought ice skating was fun. I've only done it once, considering that I grew up in a place where it's pretty much summer all year around.
I struggled to balance when I first tried it, but with my dad's supervision, and my mom's cheerful noises as she records the moment, it became one of my fondest memories.
I picked it up quickly, so I thought that I shouldn't struggle with picking it up again after more than 10 years.
I thought.
When I let one leg touch the rink, I feel the forceful ice preventing me from balancing as it slips all around.
If I can't even find stability without the support of one foot that is off the ice, how can I, without any support at all?
I grip onto the railings as I challenge myself to get both feet on the ice. My legs flail, as if I was on air and my feet searches the jagged ground for safety.
I could already feel the strain on my arms that was trying to lift myself up to get as less pressure on my feet. I clutch my upper body onto the railings, huffing from all my efforts.
Aish. I thought this was going to be fun.
I finally straighten my body in another attempt of somewhat finding stability.
"You alright there?" Jimin swoops past, scoffing, being able to perfectly skate.
Is that bastard laughing at me?
He halts beside me. "Y-yea, of course." I chuckle.
"Then why is your hand turning white from your grip?" He slightly pants, running his hand through his hair, exposing the broken sweats. I side-eye the blocked circulations of my hands, trying to think of something.
I hesitantly pull out my phone from the pocket. "Photos!" I screech from the nerves. "Pre-debut memories," I lightly smile as I start capturing my members.
"So, pre-debut memories without you in it?"
"Hmm.. It doesn't matter." I shrug my shoulders.
He also takes out his phone and does the same, recording Namjoon who seemed to be a pro of skating, perfectly capturing Taehyung slipping in the background.
"Oh my gee that was beautiful!" I burst out laughing.
"And I got it on video," Jimin claps his hands in excitement.
"Really? Can I see?" He leans in, watching the video together. I slightly lean in to get a better view.
I guffaw at Taehyung's actions. The video also caught my statement in the end.
"'Oh my gee?' Who says that," he teases. I was about to snap, but seeing the short distance as I look up at him heated my face.
I abruptly lean back to my original position, clearing my throat. "So what?" I go back to taking photos.
"Nothing," he chuckles. "It just sounds so...." He lengthens.
"Cute." He softly says.
My face was in no doubt, crimson. I zoom in on the camera, with a serious look on my face, pretending not to hear his last word.
Tip on how to avoid an embarrassing encounter? Just pretend not to hear them.
I flick through the photos I took, chuckling at some.
"Can I see?" He brings his face right next to my phone that was also close to my face.
"Here." I stretch my hand away from me to give him the phone.
He takes it, slightly hinting his warmth as he touches my hands. I quickly let go of the phone, looking away as I try to fan myself.
I hear him chuckle, assuming it was because of the photos. "Here."
I spin facing him, holding my hand out to receive my phone, when a flash of light takes over my vision, making me squint.
'Click.'
"Jimin, what the heck!" I rub my blurry eyes.
"Okay, chill. Here," he laughs from my reaction as he hands back my phone. I accept it while glaring with evil eyes. He tries to hold in his smile, adorably shaping his eyes like a crescent moon.
Geez, that smile can be the solution for world peace.
I unlock my phone to see the photo he took of me. "Where's that photo?" I hear no response, so I look at him questionably.
Perhaps, he deleted it?
He attracts my attention as he slowly distances himself from me.
"It's right here!" He playfully shakes his phone next to his face.
My face grows wild. "YOU BASTARD!" I move slightly forward, reaching for his arm. But the unstable slippery platform prevented me from doing so.
He skates further away from me, fully blowing out any chance of getting to him.
"Come back here!" I yell out, but he continues on skating like a ballerina as he forms a circle with his arms above his head.
"You sneaky bastard! You'll regret this Park Jimin!"
A/N: I'm sorry for the loooong update! The good news is- I'm on school break!
So hopefully I'll be able to write more, because I really want to finish this story and see how it'll turn out, 'cause I myself don't have a proper idea on how it'll go on.
Thank you for reading!
