"You guys will be having your debut after our comeback right?"
We nod our heads eagerly in excitement.
"Then we should celebrate. I booked the karaoke room for tonight." Hobi dances, being his cheerful self.
"Is that allowed though?" Soyoung asks in worry.
"Of course, as long as there's no trouble, and no drinks for you guys," RM clarifies.
"The karaoke bar is nice and private anyway, there's not much people." Hobi adds.
. . .
I find myself sitting in the corner next to Hyeji, watching Tae and Hobi attack the mic.
Soon, it was nearly everyone up on their feet, each contributing noises around the heated room.
"Are you not having fun?" Jungkook scoots next to me.
"Hmm? I am, it's just- I'm not used to this." I had to yell for him to hear.
"Wow, I thought you'd be a monster at these things. Aren't you from America?" He leans close to my face.
"Don't be stereotypical!" I shout in his ears. As I lean back to my original position, I catch Jimin's eyes on me.
He takes a sip from his drink, before standing up to join the rest. I think he's drunk now.
It continued for the next couple of hours, and all I did was punch numbers on the remote, adding hyped songs on the queue.
I also finished most of the snacks, which left me doing nothing. My eyelids fall heavy, despite the blaring distractions.
"I think I'm gonna head back now, I feel sleepy." I tap Hyeji's shoulder.
She only nods and waves at me before going back to partying, making her moves at RM.
"What a hoe." I sarcastically tut to myself.
I head outside, thanking the person on his work shift who were just on his phone before I exiting the place.
"Mia!" I hear my name from what sounds like a drunk man behind me.
I quickly spin, ready to defend myself from the potential harm this person could do.
"Woah," Jimin chuckles. "Calm down there, tiger."
"What are you doing here?" I sigh in relief.
"I'll walk you back."
"How? You can't even walk yourself back." I hold his shoulder, helping him stand properly.
"Of course I can, watch," he shrugs my hand off his shoulder and follow the white line along the road, stumbling here and there.
"Ugh, come." I hold my hand out for him to grab. "I'll walk you back." I roll my eyes at the burden.
His arms is resting on my shoulder as I try my best to keep him stable. But surprisingly, I don't feel much of his weight on me.
"There." He points at the swing when we walk past by the park.
"What? Is there someone you can see that I can't?" He is creeping me out right now.
"No," He cutely chuckles. "I want to go there," he continues to point at the swing.
"No, I have to bring you back home."
"But that IS my home!"
"You're weird when you're drunk," I laugh at him.
"There! Let's go there!" I comply to his persistent self.
I watch his playful face as he swings. What a baby. I sit on the empty swing next to him.
We both swing softly in peace. It was relaxing, despite the icy wind, hinting the coming winter. The darkness in the sky somehow gave me comfort, that I could literally sleep here.
"Mia." Jimin's deeper voice surprised me.
"Hmm?" I softly reply.
"Can you come? I need something."
"What do you need?" I get off the swing and kneel in front of him, worried like a mother.
He instantaneously stands up and grabs my hand, dragging me towards the nearby bench.
"Are- are you okay?" I stutter from his sudden change of actions.
He seemed to have something heavy on his mind. His head drops comfortably on my shoulders.
"Do you like Jungkook?" Why is he all of a sudden asking me this random question?
"Do you like him more than me? Or, do you not like me at all? What's with Jungkook? Because he's the golden maknae?" His words slur out of his mouth.
"Jimin, what are you talking about?" I didn't know how to react to his oncoming questions. I've never really given them a thought.
"You two seem so close. It's making me jealous." He sits up, making me flinch.
"I may be selfish, but-" he turns his face to me and I look back at his eyes, sparkling from the reflection of the street lights.
"Can you not like Jungkook?" His serious gaze captures my soul, leaving me breathless.
"See what you're doing to me?" He chuckles, making me nervous. "You're making me jealous, guilty, selfish."
"Song Mia," his eyes looks down on my lips, before staring onto my eyes.
"I think I like you."
My mouth opens, but no words come out. My lungs weren't functioning temporarily, leaving me frozen and speechless.
"No," he adds.
No? Was he just joking around?
"I really like you."
We only gaze at each other in silence, taking in each other's features. I stare at his almond shaped eyes that were as clear as a starless winter night, catching me off guard when he connects his lips with mine.
'Click.'
He softly kisses my trembling lips as my eyes widen in shock, unsure of what to do. I lean back, breaking the kiss. My fingers move to my swollen bottom lip and looks at him.
"I- Mia-" I senselessly slap him, cutting off his non sense stutters.
"I'm gonna go back." I immediately jump to my feet, desperate of escaping.
But he's drunk, I can't just leave him here.
That's right, he's drunk! He's probably unconscious of what he's doing right now. That confession was probably just- the outcome of his drunk self.
'Click.' I notice a small flash of light in my peripheral vision, but I shrug it off because I have a bigger mess to deal with.
"Alright, let's just go back."
. . .
I can't sleep.
But I'm SO sleepy! Just let me sleep! Screw you Park Jimin!
All night- or should I say all morning, the only thing conquering my mind are the events that happened earlier.
My mind flashes back to when Jimin leaned in, making my heart flutter up and down like a butterfly in a garden.
What the heck is wrong with you now Mia?
I try to calm my pounding heart down, fanning myself with my hands as I feel my face heat up.
I groan at my confused thoughts and feelings. I don't think I'm getting any sleep tonight.
. . .
