Chapter two:
They all want Elisa

Elisa sat in silence for the next few hours. Emilia had left to go to the bathroom a few minutes ago. So when she heard a knock on the door she was confused. Then her brother walks in with Alexander. "Elisa!" Alexander exclaim happily. Elisa glares at him. "You complete and utter arsehole!" Elisa says angrily. "What did I do? I just got here." He asks, confused. "Someone overheard you talking about me, specifically about me getting expelled." Elisa responds, and if you looked closely you would have been able to see her right eye twitching slightly.

Terrence looks between the two for a few seconds before speaking. "Who overheard?" He asks calmly(always the mediator). "A girl named Emilia." Elisa says. "Torres? I doubt she'll say anything. She usually keeps to herself." Terrence answers. Alexander just stays silent, knowing it's his fault that Emilia knows. Elisa immediately notices. "Alexander just – just be more careful when speaking about me or anything important." Elisa says, with a sigh. She could never truly be angry at him.

Alexander nods. "I promise I'll be more careful." Alexander says, a smile now present on his handsome face. "Good. Now, why are you two here?" Elisa asks. Terrence shrugs. "We just wanted to check up on you. That's all." Terrence replies, with a nonchalant shrug. Elisa nods in understanding. As she's about to say something, she sees the door open. Emilia walks in and immediately feels awkward. "I can go if you'd like." She says awkwardly. Terrence and Alexander look at each other. "We were just leaving. We'll see you later Elisa." Alexander says, the smile now completely gone from his face.

As soon as they leave, Elisa pulls out a book, not wanting to talk. Emilia just stares out the window. This keeps up until they reach Hogwarts. "I guess I'll see you later." Elisa says. Emilia smiles at her in response. Happy that she might have made a friend. She'd be her only friend. All the others had left her in the dust. They had deemed her strange, an anomaly, that nobody wanted near. Maybe it had to do with the fact that her eyes would become cloudy, and she would speak, as if in some sort of trance, and her words would be in some sort of riddle. And even after speaking, she would have no recollection of it.

It was finally Elisa's turn to be sorted. She sat on the stool just like the first years had done. Only she could hear the hat, it was as if it was in her head. "Peculiar." The sorting hat said. Elisa scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion. "You remind me of the boy in Slytherin." The hat continues. "Which one? There's so many." Elisa asked curiously. "I think you'll find out soon enough." The hat replies.

It had only been two minutes at most, when the hat called out her house. "Slytherin!" The sorting hat exclaims. The hat is taken off her head. And she walks towards the table her brother is sitting at. They were the house that was clapping the most. Although she could hear, and see a few people clapping throughout the other tables. She sits down at an empty spot near Emilia, who she hadn't known was in Slytherin. "Congratulations!" Emilia says excitedly. "Thank you." Elisa replies calmly. She feels someone grab her shoulder. "Congratulations Elisa!" Alexander say with a happy look on his face, that could only be seen if one were to pay attention.

Elisa nods at him. "Thank you." She says. "Do you want to sit with us?" He asks. Emilia looks down at her plate at that. She was hoping Elisa stayed. Elisa notices this. "Maybe in a bit." She says. Alexander nods. "Terrence is coming over here. I better go, before he drags me away." Alexander says, before walking away.

As Alexander sits back down in his spot, one of the boys looks at him in curiosity. "What were you doing over there?" Tom asks. "Congratulating a friend." Alexander says simply. He doesn't want Tom Riddle anywhere near Elisa. "Nott's sister?" Matthias asks, in what Alexander realizes is a interested tone. "Yes. Terrence's sister." Alexander says through gritted teeth. "Why do you seem angry, Lestrange? Don't tell me you have feelings for her." Abraxas asks mockingly, already knowing the answer.

"Fuck off." Alexander replies. "I would've thought you wouldn't fancy her anymore. Especially since she's not interested." Abraxas continues. "And how the fuck would you know that?" Alexander asks angrily. "Because she's clearly interested in me." Abraxas says. "She's not interested in you." Alexander retorts. "Really? Didn't she tell you about last summer?" Abraxas asks. That's enough for Alexander to stand up and walk away, making his way to the dungeons early.

"You're lying." Matthias says in an amused tone. "I am. But, he doesn't know that, clearly." Abraxas laughs. He doesn't notice that Terrence is walking back to his seat. "What the bloody hell did you tell Alexander?" Terrence asks, exasperated. "What do you mean?" Abraxas asks with an innocent facade. "You know exactly what I mean. I swear to Salazar if you were talking about my sister again, I'm going to kill you." Terrence says, with an irritated look on his face.

"You will do no such thing, Nott. And drop the subject Abraxas. You too Avery." Tom says as he continues eating. They all follow his instructions, immediately, not daring to disobey him."Where is Mulciber?" Tom asks. "Probably trying to shag a seventh year." Matthias says bluntly. He indeed was trying to fuck someone. But it wasn't a seventh year.

"You're very pretty, did you know that?" Adrian Mulciber asks in a flirty tone. Elisa rolls her eyes at him and turns away. She wanted nothing to do with him. "What's your name?" He asks. Clearly not recognizing her. "My sister." Terrence says as he stands behind them. Adrian turns around quickly. "What?" He asks. "That, is my sister you're flirting with. Now, fuck off." Terrence says.

Adrian walks off in embarrassment. "Thank you." Elisa says, with a hint of gratitude."You're welcome. Although I know you can handle yourself. Let me know if he, or anyone, bothers you." Terrence sighs. He was tired of having to keep people away from his sister, especially since it's his friends. Who don't know how to respect the fact that he doesn't want them near his sister.

"Don't worry, I will." Elisa says. Terrence nods, and walks back to his seat. "I wish I got along with my brothers like that." Emilia sighs. "What year are your brothers in?" Elisa asks. "My eldest brother is a seventh year, he's a Ravenclaw. My twin, he's in Gryffindor. They both despise me." Emilia says sadly.

"I'm sorry about your brothers. But from the short amount of time that we've known each other, you seem like a nice person." Elisa says truthfully. She didn't know why she liked the girl, it was just something about her that had her in a trance. And it has her extremely curious. Emilia smiles at her gratefully. "Thank you." Emilia responds with a smile still present on her face. Elisa nods at her. They have small conversations in between their meal, enjoying each other's company. Which was a hard feat for anyone that ever came across Elisa.

Soon they start heading towards the dungeons. where the Slytherin common room is located.
