Chapter one:
Everyone hates Victoire
⁂⁂
Blood dripped onto the floor as the knife was set down. Its work was done, it had been useful once more. "Lady Nott?" A voice calls out. She nods her head for the person to continue. "Victoire is here. She's waiting for you." the person continues. "Tell my mother to wait ten more minutes. I need to clean up." She says. "Yes my lady." The voice says before leaving the room.
She picks the knife back up and cleans it off, putting it back in its sleeve. She leaves the lifeless body on the floor, for someone else to clean up. After that, she cleans her hands off and changes into a different outfit. One that her mother would approve of. She walks out to the meeting room. "It took you long enough." Her mother says, her accent ever so present. "Sorry mum." Elisa says, although not at all apologetic. "I was cleaning myself up." she continues while motioning towards her outfit.
Victoire hums in approval. "Good, you should always look like a presentable young lady." She says. "Of course mum." Elisa says in faux agreement. She hates her mother with an unbearable passion. "Now. Where is your brother?" Her mum asks. "I have no clue. I was reading in my room." Elisa partially lies. She really had no clue where her brother, Terrence, was. But, he's probably out with his friends, like he usually is.
"Well, you can go back to your reading. That's all I wanted to talk about." Victoire sighs. Elisa nods at her mother before leaving. When she got back to the basement, where she'd been before her mother interrupted, she threw her knife at the wall. She was angry. Angry that her mother never cared enough. All she cared about was that Elisa became a proper lady. Besides that, she never paid much attention to her. It was the same with Terrence, their parents wouldn't show interest in him unless it had something to do with quidditch. Otherwise they completely ignored them. She hated that they never cared enough about her. Maybe that is why in almost complete solace she had turned to other things. Things that her parents would never approve of.
Her father Elias wasn't much better. He is hardly ever around, not even to scold them. And he would much rather turn a blind eye to his wife's cruelty towards their children, than have to reprimand them himself. As that would be a taxing job for him. They had sent Elisa off to Beauxbaton academy, hoping that she would be a prim and proper lady. That had ultimately backfired. She had done well in her classes. But she had recently been expelled. She had been framed for a tragic accident. And she is out for blood.
⁂⁂
Elisa was getting ready for the train ride to Hogwarts. It's where she had been transferred to. She was wearing a dark blue skirt, and a black long sleeved mock neck. She added silver jewelry, and a black cloak. She heard a knock on the door. "Come in." She called out. Her brother Terrence walked in. "Victoire said and I quote, "Tell your sister to get her arse downstairs, now." Terrence says in a voice sounding extremely similar to their mother's. Elisa raises an eyebrow.
"Did she actually say arse?" She questions. "No, I added that bit myself. But she did say to hurry up." Terrence smiles. "She can wait five more minutes." Elisa says with a roll of her eyes. "Take your time, then. I'm not the one that's going to get yelled at." Terrence replies with a shrug. He sits down on her bed, as she finishes doing her hair. "Is my trunk downstairs?" Elisa asks as she picks up her wand. "Probably." Terrence answers.
"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go, before she throws a fit." Elisa says. Terrence nods before standing up. He lets her walk out first, following closely behind. Once they reach the bottom of the stairs, they see their mother. "Finally." She remarks angrily. "Sorry mum." Elisa says, not the slightest bit apologetic. Victoire rolls her eyes, and ushers them to the chimney. She hands them some floo powder. Terrence lets Elisa go first. "Platform nine and three quarters." Elisa says clearly.
As soon as she throws the powder down, she closes her eyes. Once she feels the weird sensation go away, she steps out of the chimney, so Terrence doesn't fall onto her(That had happened once before, and it had been incredibly painful, and embarrassing). A few seconds later Terrence, and then their mother walk out. They don't bother saying goodbye to Victoire. It's not as if she really cared that they would be gone until Christmas. "Do you want to sit with me? Or find your own compartment?" Terrence asks after putting their trunks into the luggage compartment.
"I'll find a compartment." Elisa says, not particularly excited to sit with a group of Terrence's friends. "Are you sure?" Terrence asks. She nods. "I need to make friends, don't I?" Elisa asks rhetorically. Terrence nods. "I'll find you sometime along the train ride." He says, as she walks away. Elisa nods. She walks down the train, trying to find an empty compartment.
Once she does, she opens the door and steps into it. She sits down in silence. Until someone opens the door. "Hello, do you mind if I sit here?" the person asks. Elisa turns to look at them to see a girl standing there. Elisa nods. "Go ahead." She says simply. The girl sits down across from her. "I'm Emilia." the girl says. "Elisa." She says in response. "Are you a new student?" Emilia asks with a curious expression that seemed to be plastered permanently onto her face.
"Yes, I am, i'm a sixth year. My brother has been attending since his first year." Elisa responds. Emilia furrows her brows in confusion. "Who's your brother?" Emilia asks. "Terrence Nott." Elisa answers. Emilia's eyes widened slightly. "Wait. So you're the one who got expelled from Beauxbaton's?" Emilia asks. Elisa looks at her coldly. "How did you know about that?" She asks. "I overheard someone talking about it. Pretty sure it was Alexander Lestrange." Emilia answers with a simple shrug.
That makes Elisa annoyed, of course it was Alexander. "It always seems to be Alexander putting his nose where he shouldn't." Elisa grumbles. Emilia doesn't question Elisa knowing who Alexander is. After all, where Terrence is, you'll find Alexander close behind.
