When I told you about my condition, I didn't know what to expect.

I had no idea if you knew what it was, or if you would feel uncomfortable talking with me...

You reached out your hand for the phone but the train stopped and you had to get off.

Maybe tomorrow...

Maybe I will find out your name then...

I reached up and adjusted my noise-canceling headphones slightly.

I had to wear them - I have no choice in the matter.

My case of hyperacusis is pretty severe - even the sound of the train passing over the tracks could cause me intense pain.

It's funny...

One boy who can't hear at all and one boy who hears too much...

I wonder if we will ever get to know one another properly.
