It's been a few weeks now.

Since I first came into your house.

I never knew that you lived alone before I came along.

I hoped my company didn't annoy you.

On the last day of September, I took you up to my favorite spot in the city:

A small bench on the top of a hill that overlooked the city and train tracks.

It was my way of saying thank you.

I put together a small picnic.

We ate together as the sun went down.

We played a game trying to guess the number of carriages on passing trains.

You let me win. It was obvious.

Why on earth would you think there were 900 carriages on a train? XD

It was just as the seventeenth train went past that you turned to me and told me you loved me.

It was just as the eighteenth train came into view that I leaned in closer to you;

It was just as the eighteenth train passed into the distance that you pulled out of our gentle, first kiss and looked into my eyes;

It was just as silence fell over the hill that you asked me to be your boyfriend;

And it was just before I kissed you again that I said yes.
