I woke up this morning with a terrible feeling in my mind.

I don't know what made me do it, but I felt the urge to get off at your stop today.

The moment I saw that you weren't at the station waiting, I ran to the doors and leapt off.

Looking around, you weren't anywhere to be seen.

The train pulled away from the station and something caught my eye...

A pair of dark blue headphones on the track...

I ran to the edge an peered over, eyes tearing up as I recognized them...

Your headphones...

Surely you wouldn't go onto the tracks...

You weren't like that...

Were you?

Either way, if your headphones were on the track, it meant that you weren't wearing them.

How had you gotten out of the station if you weren't wearing them?

Unless you never left...

Silently, I began to search.

The bathrooms were empty... it wasn't like I could call your name and listen for you to shout back. I would never hear you!

I began to panic and wrote a short message on my phone:

"Excuse me, have you seen a boy about my age with brown hair and a rainbow jumper and a bright smile? Please help. He is missing!"

I began to run around and show it to people at the station but all they responded with was 'no, sorry' or a bored head shake.

Just as I was about to give up, I caught sight of another door.

Jogging over curiously, I pressed my hand against it and it opened silently.

Well, it may have creaked but I didn't hear it.

As light flooded the room, I saw something I had been craving yet dreading to see.

That rainbow jumper.

You were slumped, unconscious, against the wall, a look of agony written across your face, no headphones in sight.

Unsure of what else to do, I dug out my headphones and placed them over your ears, gently lifting you up bridal-style.

There was no way I could leave you there.

It was time to catch another train...
