Chapter 8

Warning: Shitty short chapter, shitty writing and lacking finale

You have been warned.

First day of being a zombie. Kill. My. self. Oh well, like Sanghwa said, it's all about sacrifice. I should make the best of this zombie crap. Hey, maybe when I finally get my lazy ass up, I should try to find him and Yong-Guk and we could be the zombie trio! But then again, would they even be the same people I knew before? Probably not. But that's weird. I'm not craving for human flesh anymore. Hmm, maybe it's cause I'm still lying on the train track cause I face-planted there when I threw myself off the train. Maybe. Aish, wake up already, you've been lying here long enough, Hanna.

I squinted my eyes open to bright lights flashing in my face and closed my eyelids again. Never mind ima just go back to sleep. Even a zombie needs their rest. Ahhh back to chicken nugget dreamland for me. "YOU'RE AWAKE!" Someone yelled out happily. Yeah I am now that you yelled my ears off. And I was having such a good dream! Wait a second. Why is this person speaking to me? Can't they see that I'm fully zombified? Or maybe this person's blind. But then again, if this person is blind, they wouldn't know that I was awake if they can't see. Hmmm.....weird.

I opened my eyes and woke up to see a man wearing a doctor's coat, grinning, right smack near my face. "What the-?!" I said, backing away. "Oh I'm sorry! I was getting a closer look to see if you were really awake and my eyes weren't playing tricks on me!" The man apologized, raising his hands up, and gave me space by backing away as well.

Okkkkkk. This. Is. Weird. This guy clearly isn't blind, yet he's still not running for his life even though I'm a zombie. But waaait a second, if I'm a zombie now, then why aren't my hands streaked with dark purple veins? How come I'm not attacking the doctor when he's clearly human and also a tasty snack for an average zombie? Could it be?

I patted my cheeks, felt no bloody veins there either, and looked at the hand Yong-Suk bitten. There was no sign of a bite-mark, zilch, nothing at all, just the soft, clean surface of my palm. "YAS!" I cried out and pumped my fists in the air. "I'M NOT A ZOMBIE ANYMORE!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!! PRAISE DA LORD!!!!!!!"

The man in the doctor's coat fidgeted uncomfortably and replyed anxiously, "You should probably rest some more. I'll be right back," he excused himself and started to walk away, when I realized that I was in the hospital and not in the movie anymore.

"Wait....What....what happened? Why am I in the hospital?" I asked, confused, clutching my forehead. "You collapsed at the train station. Your family has been very worried," The doctor informed me.

A feeling of remembrance tugged my mind as a flash of a memory came to my head.

Stepping inside the train. Freezing where I was and slowly everything fading black as I fell backwards and felt a hard, cool surface when I collided my head onto the floor of the train station.

"Huh," I said, my mind in a daze, my thoughts swirling. Was everything that happened in train to busan a dream then? "How....long was I asleep?" I hesitantly asked. "About three weeks," the doctor stated. THREE FRICKING WEEKS?! SHIT DAT MEANS I HAVE A CRAPLOAD OF MATH PROGRAM HW TO MAKE UP FOR DARN IT DARN DARN ITTTTT BEING A ZOMBIE WAS BETTER THAN THIS.

"I'll inform your parents you've awaken," the doctor said and swiftly walked out of the room.

"You collapsed at the train station?!" Julia said astonished. "Yeah," I answered, stretching my arms. "That explains why you weren't answering my text messages," she said. "Yeah, sorry about that," I said sheepishly. "Oh please you were unconscious, how were you supposed to text me then?" She snorted. "Yeah true," I scratched my head.

"By the way.....why did you faint at the train station? Did your crapload of math program hw finally kill you?" She half joked, and half asked seriously. "Well, I was feeling a little tired that day, but all I know is that when I took one step on the train, I just felt so faint, like I was leaving my body," I said. "Weird," Julia said. "Yeah," I said remotely, looking out the window. "I think.....I had this weird dream while I was asleep," I said. "Was it scary?" She asked me. "No.....it was overwhelming," I answered remotely, remembering

I closed my eyes and smiled as I listened to Soo-An singing Aloha'ae.

The end
