Tears Like Snow
My arm is deep in a pool full of strangers
Where laughter is the mask worn for tongues.
Speaking crystals to the skin
So the body wouldn't feel ghastly.
Triumphed by the wings given from birth.
I was told to become a golden cheetah,
But I have yet to start the hunt.
My arm slowly begins to sink
As the shadows warp around me.
Becoming a thin piece of reflective light...
That only have flashes of existence.
It's like waking up to the flickering thunder at night.
The faces that appear within each flicker,
Will snicker with their peppermint teeth.
The cold sweats that stick to my pillow at nights
Only tells me how scared I am of the final judgment.
When the last being to look upon me will say
"Your time is up."
My knees will be of not bone,
Not of strength,
But of unparalleled fear.
My eyes will become soggy.
The pure emotion that could touch the plains
Would be soft like a babies foot,
But frozen.
It won't be a distilled tear,
But it will be cold.
There will be so many of them
Covering the mountains while they sleep at night.
So many tears like snow.
