Dark Conversations
We walked in a moonlit forest
Marching in nothing but our bare feet.
The wind howled "Summer time!"
While the cold sank below our feet.
Cherishing wonderland,
For the first time in a lifetime.
We made cherries bloom on the ends of branches
That's held more than just leaves.
You said:
"Do you think we could become like the stars one day?"
I said:
"Maybe, but you got to find my heart one day."
I couldn't lend the world,
But I damn sure could try.
But my heart is like Pluto...
Separated from the circle,
Because I'm tired of seeing fake sun's...
If I was meant to be cold,
Then hug my mountain tops
And accept the frozen tears I bring.
Maybe that's (love) to me.
But it (doesn't) mean that to you.
Questions bringing about (fear)
We would continue to stare at the ground
Sad and lonely
But we wouldn't shed a tear.
It wasn't clear that night.
Regret fills the morning light...
But if it's one thing I'll remember you told me...
It was:
"You're too bright to be in the dark."
I still remember
(Remember that day.)
The clouds never disappeared from my face.
They held me through the wind.
But if the heat ever so touches the tip of my iceberg.
Then let sorrow swim to my legs,
So the colors can bend...
