I sat alone at lunch today.

I was thinking of you.

Thinking of the way you used to sit right next to me.
The way you used to smile at me.

I couldn't stop.
Couldn't stop looking next to me.
Looking at the spot you used to sit.

I felt lost.
I felt alone.
I felt pain.

But then I looked up.

And suddenly, it started to fade.
Just for a second,
A moment.

Because when I looked up,
His eyes met mine.

And he smiled.

And I was able to forget,
Even if it was just for a moment.
