Chapter 34

~Y/N POV~

(Two Years Later)

It's my babies second birthday today.

The last two years have flown by and I can't believe it honestly.

Watching them from the patio glass window playing with their little play friends they've made at day care. A place I didn't want to put my children just on the odds something would happen but the day care is run by my grandmother I didn't meet until two years ago today.

(FLASHBACK)

"Y/n."

Clutching my babies into my chest I carefully took hold of a pair of scissors, ready to fight off this older man before me. I don't know him but his smile was friendly and he seemed harmless, even when he glanced at the weapon in my hands but despite my hostility his smile never faltered.

"How are you?"

"Oh I'm sorry. The name is Cho Sungmin."

He smiles at me, bowing and I frowned at the man when he giggled.

"I'm your grandfather. Your fathers' dad."

My eyes widen and I dropped my scissors to the bed.

"Really?"

My voice cracked and he nods.

"Yes. Your mom set off an alert and we came as fast as we could." Grandfather

More tears spilled down my cheeks, feeling grateful that I have family I didn't even know about.

"HONEY HELP ME DOWN!!"

A females voice echoes from the outside and the man before me gasps as he's forgotten something priceless and launched back to the ladders to look up and hold his hand out the hatch.

"Just take it easy wifey. We don't need you breaking a hip like last time." Grandfather

He laughs and I silently watch an elderly lady climb down the ladders and then smack the man across the chest.

"Watch it you old fool. I can still poison your food."

"It wouldn't be the first time. It's what made me fall in love with you." Grandfather

The woman rolled her eyes but then softened her gaze when they landed on me. She awes at me and then rushed to my side, perching herself onto the edge of the bed.

"My you've grown so much. You were only a year old the last time we met. I'm Anya, you're grandmother."

She smiles and it just reminds me of my own. My mom always told me I had my dad's smile and looking back on pictures of my dad I could see that. Now I can see where he got it from.

Again I started crying and she cooed at me, bringing me close to her embrace, one arm around my shoulders.

"Oh sweetie. I'm sorry but this is not the reunion we hoped for but it's better than nothing. But first we need to get you and these peaches out of here okay?" Grandmother

I nodded still crying my heart out. I think it's just the hormones and everything else all in one.

"Alright then. Sungmin!! Help me with our grandchildren. We need to get them out of here quickly." Grandmother

Waving over her husband he came running over to my other side, his sweet smile appearing again and carefully scoops up my daughter into his arms. I tensed seeing him with my baby but my grandmother tapped my hand gently and leans into whisper in my ear.

"Don't worry love, we've got you now. You're safe." Grandmother

(END OF FLASHBACK)

And ever since that day I've never felt in danger.

My grandparents came into my life and took my in my children in and we just clicked. My home life has been normal for the sake of my children just as I wanted for them.

My sights landed on my grandfather laying on the sun lounger with his cocktail in his hands. None alcoholic since my grandmother wont allow him to touch actually alcohol. His tropical shirt and shorts along with his grey hair and black shades was his normal style no matter the weather. Except when December comes he wears Christmas sweaters every day up to Christmas day. That man has a lot of those sweaters.

Sipping on his straw two little ones in particular sneak up to him from behind. Both with a sand bucket in hand which is filled with water all thanks to my work colleague Bill.

It was obvious what was going to happen but watching little Eun, my cheeky yet sassy little girl giggle while covering her mouth as she hugs the red bucket, was just a beautiful sight. Her brother,,Jiho beside her, jet black spiky hair and dungarees was just an adorable sight alone. My little man is the most politest little boy and not to mention quiet.

The twins dumped the water on their great grandfather and he screamed from the cold which sent the two little ones running for their lives across the garden. The older man gasped but started to chase them while their friends either watched on or joined in the chase.

I laughed watching Eun squealing with joy, her little pigtails bouncing as she runs. I like to think the older she gets, she looks like me but I can see Jimin in her sometimes. Those plump pouty lips and small nose. It's just the eyes that startle me when she gets mad about something. They go dark like his did when he was angry at me which was all the time. But my love for Eun is greater than my fear of those dark eyes.

Eun is nothing like her father and I proudly say that.

She reaches for Jiho's hand and together they run along side each other. Jiho laughing and even squealing himself from the excitement of the chase. I just hope he doesn't trip over something he doesn't see. He's getting his eyes tested tomorrow so he may needs glasses. Jiho is already the spitting image of Namjoon, there's no escaping that but when he does get glasses if he needs, he's going to be all the more alike to his dad he's never met.

My babies may have features of their fathers but in my opinion they are still fully mine. I just think of Jimin and Namjoon as sperm donors and I have a story made up for them when they're older. Just to be prepared for the day they ask about their father but I wont tell them they have different dads. They don't need to know that, they have one mother and that's me.

They're my babies.

My salvation after my torment I endured during that dark time in my life.

I felt myself getting emotional again just thinking about it so I looked away from my children to let the moment pass.

They're fathers are monsters. My children are angels. End of story.

An arm slithered around my shoulder and pulled me close. I sunk into their arm and embraced their warmth.

"They grow so fast don't they?" Grandmother

I nod but felt a buzz from my phone in my back pocket ring off.

"They do. Can you watch them please? I need to take this call."

I told her after taking out my phone to see the caller ID. She glanced down at my phone and nods offering her usual sweet smile.

"Of course. You do what you need to do." Grandmother

Lightly she pats my back and I thank her. Then I caught eyes with Bill through the window to the garden and gestured for him to follow me which he nods in understanding and walks towards me. I don't wait for him however and walk through the house, walking up the stairs to the office I took over for my work. It's attached to my bedroom but I need it for my job or more like my business I have worked so hard for in the last two years.

Kicking the door open using my heels I answered the call, pressing the phone to my ear and walked into the office.

"Speak to me Jo. Did they take the bait?"

I heard Bill close the door behind me but stay by the door to stand there and wait. I wondered to my desk, kicking off my heels and pulled out my chair.

"Yes they did. The woman's free night out and gents drinks half price was a hit. My source say's he'll be there tomorrow night no later than 11pm." Jo

I grinned and sent Bill a nod to let him know our plan was a success. Sinking down into my leather chair I pulled out a drawer and took out my gun, slamming into the wooden desk.

"Great job my man. This is why I pay you the big bucks but I must remind you Jo, if you double cross me, there will be trouble."

Glancing at Bill he nods as if to confirm he would deal with it personally and I know he will. That's why Bill is always with me during the day time. He works alone at night when I need him to.

"Yes boss. I remember. I'll see you tomorrow night." Jo

I didn't bother to say goodbye and hung up the phone.

Relaxing into my chair I kicked up my bare feet to my desk and placed my phone to the desk and picked up my gun instead. Smoothing my fingers across the metal I grinned at the weapon. It was one my fathers, his initials still engraved into the handle.

"Bill!"

Clicking my fingers he straighten at the sound.

"Yes?" Bill

"Grab my bullets from that drawer over there. We have to paint some of the bullet tips before tomorrow night."

He nods and opens the drawer I keep all my bullets. Well a set of them. I have many and many more under the house in a safe.

A part of me feels guilty for maintaining this lifestyle because I want a normal life for my kids and they have that. Just like I did and my mother was doing these things without me knowing. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and it's now my time to end this vengeance for my parents.

It's now or never.
