CHAPTER 81: John Coyde?
Writer's P.O.V
As the orchard burned to the ground, Lisa was still fighting, though scathed by the fire.
"Woman to woman, you're really skilled," the psycho woman said and cackled. Lisa was weak and pretty dazed so she couldn't parry much. She took punches in the face and then in the abdomen.
JAWS knew why they sent their most skilled and valuable female subject to kill Lisa— she was pretty tolerant of women. So they believed she'll be tolerant with any one... even the one who wanted her head.
The woman punched Lisa about ten times before she finally fell to the ground with a thud. Then she knelt over Lisa's half-dead body.
"Since-you're-about-to-die," she started with hard blows to the face accompanying every single word. By now, Lisa's face was as scarlet, embellished with multiple bruises. Even with that, the psycho woman didn't seize.
She continued, "I'll-tell-you-who-sent-me," then the assailant abruptly stopped talking. But she didn't—Lisa wasn't able to make words out of what the woman was saying over the loud ringing in her eardrums. But now, the psycho had taken a break.
"Okay, so it is our friend, you must already know who I'm talking about." Lisa was confused. Who could he be? "And since you and your annoying cousin a big pain in our asses, we gladly offered him a discount of 40%," then she laughed maniacally.
They must be the organization that has been trailing us all this while, Lisa thought. Her eyes were closing because of extreme fatigue. They had turned normal a while ago but she managed to stay alive.
"Well, I'll tell you who this mystery man is" she smiled for a moment before saying "It's John Coyde." That name continuously rang a bell in her head. At once, she realized who he was –Anastasia's dad. Why will he want ...?
Her thoughts were interrupted by the woman's voice. "Your time is up, girl. It was nice meeting you." She added and smirked evilly. Then she placed both her hands on each side of Lisa's chest. Don't worry, this won't hurt. Not too much." And then Lisa blacked out.

The heat and smoke were stifling. There was fire everywhere and I wondered if I was in the right place. If I was, it'd have been ice, not fire. But I was confident that my unconsciousness would never lead me astray.
I walked upon the ashes and through the fire till I saw two figures; one over the other. The heat made the entire place ripple. Despite this, I stalked towards both figures.
Once I could see other than silhouettes, I recognized Lisa. She looked life-drained, lying on the floor with some black and red clothed women atop her. She was saying something to Lisa that I couldn't decipher. The whole situation just didn't sum up to me. But when she placed her hands on Lisa's bosom, I knew that was the exact smell of danger.
Instinctively, I flew and gave the woman a wrestling spear. We rolled on the ground till I was right on top of her. Unexpectedly, a flame engulfed her and she disappeared. I stood up and turned around, looking for her. She was so lucky my pupils weren't red right now. I stood, waiting for her cause I knew she was going to come back, it's like those assassins give their lives to eliminating their targets or something.
Just as I expected, she appeared some meters ahead of me with the same fire that had made her disappear.
"I thought you would've been dead by now. I always knew Roger never deserved all the attention he'd been getting." She said and convulsed with laughter. "Lucky us, you have me." And then she disappeared. Some seconds later, I felt her presence behind me. I turned back and saw her attempt to strike me with some sort of 'sword of fire' but in slow-motion. I just kicked her abdomen before her sword could even touch me. That sent her flying away but just before she could fall into the lake of fire she had created, she disappeared.
She appeared in front of me and swiftly threw a large fireball at me. Sure it was much faster than a bullet but to me, it was just as slow as an inflated balloon. I sent it back to her before I could even feel its heat on my skin. She burned, alright, but that had no effect on her.
"Isn't that too dumb? Trying to quench fire with fire?" She asked lightly. But I wasn't in any way cheered.
"Actually, lady, it is dumb but I've got better plans for you. " I replied, making her levitate. I brought her close to me and instantly, my vision turned red. I punched her until my fists were soiled with her blood but somehow, she still managed to cackle like a witch. Crazy freak!
That pissed me off to the core so I squeezed her with my telekinesis till pretty much all her bones broke and she was round ... almost. She yelped in pain endlessly while tears flowed down her bloodied face in rivulets. But that didn't bother me. I stared at her with spite.
"Don't ... don't do this, I'm a woman. I-I'm a mother," she spluttered in between sobs. She really thought that would work on me.
"Of course you are— you showed Lisa a boatload of motherly love, didn't you? "I asked with a colorless, deep voice that had disgust laced in it.
"It wasn't my fault. I was forced to do it – by JAWS." She cried out between sobs but I wasn't listening. It was as if my emotions had been rendered dysfunctional.
"It doesn't matter," then I looked into her agony-filled eyes and muttered "It doesn't" In a split second, I opened my palms and shut them. Simultaneously, her head exploded from inside and she dropped dead. I turned back and walked towards Lisa and I picked her off the ground with her blood staining my clothes but I didn't care. I already looked like I had taken a blood bath. Literally!
Before I could grab her wrist to check her pulse, I heard the whirring of helicopter blades. They were about ten of them above when I looked up, encircling the orchard and sweeping it with their bright lights. Right when one of the rays were about to reach us, I took off and flew out of the scene with Lisa in my arms like a flash of lightning.
