Lockdown and I walk silently through the grounds. All of the mechs look at me with sorrowful optics, after what Siren had told me, I understood why.

I couldn't help but to fear this mech, he seemed fine on the outside, but the inside... it was to early to call.

I kept my helm down, avoiding optics contact with anyone, including him. I felt his gaze shift to me, then the path ahead, and then back. I had to keep a fast pace to keep up with his fluid, powerful steps.

"That is not your sparkling, am I correct?"He breaks the silence between us.

I nod.

"That is correct. I found her early in the day yesterday." I respond softly.

I am careful with my words when speaking to him. I see him give short nod from beside me as we continue.

The silence was agonizing. What was he thinking about right now? The 'job offering' that he was going to give me, as Siren had said. Or his plan to kill me?

"It was very fortunate that you found her when you did." He complements me.

I nod, avoiding his optic contact.

"What is the one thing that you yearn for in existence?" He suddenly asks.

My faceplate shows a moment of confusion before I quickly hide it behind a normal expression.

"I...don't know. Whatever my future had planned for me." He nods approvingly.

"And you?" I spit out before it was to late to take it back.

I see a evil smirk crawl across his dermas.

"I seek power and justice, a fighting chance for what is right. And someone to rule with me..."
I see his optics wander to my form as I take in a sharp breath.

I stiffen at his response, especially the last part...but continue to walk along side him.

"Oh." I all that I say, not daring to let another word slip out.

We stay silent for the rest of the walk. We soon return to the medical station where I had been earlier to see Siren, with a few other medics, playing with Blossom.

She immediately sees me and runs up into my arms. I scoop her up and pepper kisses over her forehelm and temples.

"Carrier! I had such a great time!" She squeals.

I laugh and smile at her wide grin.

"I'm sure you did honey."

As I turn to say a quick thank you to Lockdown for the walk, I see him already gone. And that worried me even more.
