Flicker in the Distance
The journey proved hard and long. I had to stop at many points to ensure that I was not about to collapse. After starting to walk again, Blossom stirred in my arms and yawned. Her optics fluttered open to reveal her beautiful optics.
"Hey." I smile down at her.
She smiles back and yawns again. Realizing that I was walking, she looked around to see that our surroundings have changed.
"Where are we going?" She asks curiously, a hint of fear in her voice.
I helped her sit upright in my arms as she wrapped her tiny arms around my neck.
"We are going to find help." I answer back simply.
She rests her helm on my chassis and continued to look up at me.
"Help for what?" She questions innocently.
I keep my optics on the path ahead and answer softly.
"We need energon, and a lot of it. I can tell that you are hungry."
I smile as her stomach growls. She nods her head against my chassis. I hold her close as we get closer to the flicker.
I can hear voices now. Mechs. I can't hear a single femme voice. This was bad. What were they going to do? Actually try to help us or... I didn't want to think about it.
The flicker of light grew to a large mass of ships, all a fairly good size- from a distance. But there was the biggest one in the middle, that's where most of the mechs were gathered.
I took a deep breath and looked down at Blossom. She looked up at me with worried optics.
"Now Blossom, you must listen to me. I don't know what will happen but I fear that they will take you away from me, so-"
Before I could continue on, she started to become upset.
"Brisk! No! NO! I can't leave you! No! I want to stay with you!" She cried.
I shake my helm fast and rub her backplate soothingly and comforted her.
"No! I would never let them take you away. I was going to say that I must act as your carrier, to ensure that they will not separate us. They wouldn't dare to separate a carrier and her sparkling."
She nods fast and clings onto me tighter. I continue to rub her backplate as we arrive on the grounds.
My spark is practically beating out of my chassis. This was a horrible idea.
As we came into view, every helm turned our way. I felt energon continue to drip down my frame, and Blossom shaking in my arms, basically trying to crawl and hide inside of me. I hold her extremely close, to comfort her... but especially me.
All of the mechs started to crowd us, not to close, but enough to feel trapped. They were HUGE. Giant rifles were in their servos, making me even more nervous.
They were ten times bigger than me, some could probably step on me. I could see warriors, wreakers, scouts, and thank primus... medics. I stopped once I was in the middle of the group.
I shifted my pedes, tightening my hold on Blossom, who had her helm buried into my shoulder plate. I felt so dizzy, my vision started to go. I slowly dropped to my knees and held my helm. The energon had not stopped.
"Brisk?"
Blossom looks at me with worried optics. I groan, laying myself down to the ground. Blossom was ontop of me, clutching to my chassis, yelling my name.
Everything was a blur from there. I saw a few mechs run up, who I assumed were medics. Sounds of hurried talking and Blossom's screams filled my audio receptors, before I let myself drift into darkness.
