Cain's POV

"Let them go...you know they don't deserve this! Let them go!"

"No...this is my revenge. They ruined everything...they took away all I had."

"You know that's not true. Stop lying to yourself. You did this to yourself."

"NO! They ruined EVERYTHING!! They took them away from me, so I'll do the same!"

"But this isn't what they wanted, was it...?"

"..."

I tried to shut them up. But I couldn't...

"Let them go"

"Stop..." I said in a a soft whisper.

"Let them go"

"Stop!" I said said louder.

"Let them go"

"STOP IT!!!" I screamed through my shuttered breath. I picked up the closest thing I could grab, which was one of my boots, and threw it at the basement door. The shoe hit the old wooden floor boards, and the echo from the basement grew softer and softer until it stopped. And all was silent... I looked over at the window. But I wasn't there. Nobody was.
