"Alohomora." Vega said.

The door unlocked and she and Charles stepped inside the house. 

They were in the muggle world to fulfill their mission no matter how much they didn't want to. 

"You go upstairs I'll take downstairs." Charles told her although it came out as more of a question. She just nodded and left in response. 

On her way up she heard screams coming from downstairs but she continued walking. She was walking down the hallway until someone came out of a room. They were face to face. It was a small girl who looked about seven. Vega wished she could just switch places with her. Be young and innocent again. The girl did nothing to deserve what was about to happen.

 "I'm sorry." She said, her voice was barley above a whisper. She then said the dreaded words, "Avada Kedavra." 

Silent tears went down her face like a waterfall as she watched the girl drop to ground. 

"We have to go." Charles suddenly spoke up from behind her. When she turned and saw him, she realized he too was crying. She latched onto his arm as he disapparated them back to Selwyn Manor. 

Vega's Mother was no where to be found which wasn't unusual. She would occasionally leave for a few days at a time without giving notice.

She guided Charles towards her parlor. Vega plopped on a cushioned chair and Charles sat directly opposite of her. They were sitting there in silence, neither knew what to say. That is until there was a 'Pop!' of a house elf. When she sat up and looked it was an elf she had never seen before.

"Miss Black?"

She quickly wiped tears and looked inquisitively towards Charles for answers but he didn't have a clue what was happening. "Um, who are you?"

"Kreacher Miss."

She racked her brain for answers and then realized this was her Father's house elf. He was mentioned in her letter. 

"Kreacher? My Father wrote a letter before he died saying you would know more about a horcrux." She quickly got up and ruffled through her desk until she found the letter. Vega went over and handed it to Kreacher.

This was a life changer, quite literally.
