Chapter Sixteen

A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Sixteen. Picture of their outfits ^^^^

----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

Well, Reece turning up yesterday was a surprise. I can't actually believe that my brothers let it happen, but then again, they'll do pretty much anything to make sure I am not upset or anything which is so lovely.

Reece wasn't replying to me all day yesterday, which I was confused about because I was getting replies from Tyler, Jason and the group chat but nothing from Reece. If anything, Reece is the more likely one to reply during class as he really doesn't care.

It makes me happy that I get to go out with him in my home town, it's something that I never thought I would get to do because I haven't been on a date before so I thought it would just happen in L.A but at least one of them gets to happen here.

I've always liked the idea of going bowling for a date, it's not as awkward as something like dinner and it isn't very expensive. I feel like bowling means you can just have a laugh and there's no pressure on having to have a lot of conversation for the whole of the date, which is a good thing when it's a first date.

However, that's not until tomorrow.

Today is the funeral, and I don't really know how I am feeling. It hasn't quite sunk in that it's happening today, but I know that when we're at the crematorium it will hit me.

We're meeting all of my family and our family friends at the crematorium, and then the hearses are coming to the hotel – Drew, me and Reece will be going in one car and Dean, Lewis and Alana are going in another care and they'll drive behind the two hearses.

Reece was adamant about sleeping on the sofa last night, I told him he could share the bed as the bed is massive but he decided to be a gentleman and sleep on the sofa which was sweet.

I've just woken up, it's around nine in the morning and the funeral is going to be at twelve so I don't need to start getting ready for a while.

Reece is still passed out on the sofa, so I quietly walk past him and go out onto the balcony which has an absolutely amazing view.

The hotel is situated on a golf course, it's such an impressive golf course and the hotel itself is a leisure club plus a spa type place.

I lean against the railing, and I notice a couple of groups of people already out golfing. It's early but then some groups of people that golf frequently will have early tee times.

As I'm looking out at the view, I hear the door open behind me and two tattooed arms wrap around my waist "Morning" Reece greets me, his morning voice is pretty cute if you ask me.

"Good morning sleepyhead" I greet him in response.

He laughs at my comment "Hey, I am up before lunch time, be proud" he jokes.

I roll my eyes but laugh anyway "How was sleeping on the sofa?" I question, turning around to face him so I end up leaning back against the railing.

Reece shrugs with his hands resting on my hips "It wasn't too bad; this hotel is posh let me tell you that" he smiles as he talks.

I nod in agreement "Yeah, well technically our parents paid for it" I say which makes him look confused "Basically, even though my parents were young, their will was written and they had been saving since Drew was born for their funeral and if anything would happen to them" I explain.

"That's actually a good strategy" he comments "Your parents sound like they were smart people" he smiles down at me as he talks.

We talk for a little longer, and then decide that we should probably start to get ready.

My parents had stated in their will that, in the event of anything happening to them, at their funeral they wanted everyone to wear blue which was my Dad's team colours when he played football and my Mum's favourite colour so it's only fitting.

Reece headed for the shower after I had one, so I'm now getting changed and I have opted for wearing some black leggings that are thick because gosh it's cold, a sleeveless blue blouse, a black blazer, a pair of chunky heeled black boots and my Mum's vintage gold rope ring that I wear on my middle right finger.

After I have changed, Reece comes out of the bathroom dressed in a black suit, a classic white shirt, a blue tie that matches my blouse – which wasn't planned of course and some smart patent black shoes.

Because of his suit, only the tattoos on his hands and the ones that creep up onto his neck are visible, but he definitely looks attractive in that suit.

He notices me staring a little and smirks as he walks towards me "I didn't know you brought a suit with you" I tell him.

He chuckles slightly, turning to the mirror briefly to fix his hair, "There's a lot of things you don't know about me London" he smirks as he talks.

I roll my eyes and grab my phone "Same to you California" I joke causing him to laugh "Can you keep my phone in your suit jacket please? If you don't mind, I don't have anywhere to put it" I ramble slightly, not wanting him to think it's weird or something.

He smiles and nods, holding out his hand "Sure" he tells me so I hand him my phone and he slips it into his inside pocket of his suit jacket. He then grabs the room key card, putting it into his wallet "I've got a key then" he states and I nod in acknowledgement.

His phone goes off so he checks it "What's up?" I question, as I am curious.

He puts his phone away and looks to me "Drew says they're all ready, so we better head down" he tells me.

The both of us leave the room, and Reece slips his arm around my waist as we walk to the lift. We get into the lift with a few other people, which is kind of awkward because I don't really do crowded places.

"You okay?" Reece whispers in my ear.

I nod in response, whilst he rubs his thumb comfortingly on my waist which makes me smile. I feel like it's strange that Reece and I are acting so close, but I like it.

The both of us are aware that we haven't known each other for that long but I don't think it takes that long to be close with someone, especially if you get along.

To me, it's clear that Reece cares about me and I care about him. I am sick and tired of hearing crap about him from school, because sure he might not have made the best decisions in the past but here he is, supporting me at my parents' funeral and getting to know my family.

The lift stops on the ground floor, and everyone in the lift gets out.

We spot Drew, Dean, Lewis and Alana stood around in the reception area so Reece and I head over to them.

Alana lets go of Lewis' hand and runs over to me, so Reece moves his arm and I pick her up "You look very pretty Lana" I tell her, as she is wearing a cute blue dress with a black cardigan and black Chelsea boots that are adorable.

The other three are dressed in suits, Dean and Drew have black suits on whilst Lewis' suit is more of a grey colour but they all have blue ties, similar to Reece's.

"Is that Mum's ring?" Dean asks, nodding his head to my right hand.

I smile at him as I nod "Yeah. Do you have Dad's watches on?" I quiz, causing both of my biological brothers to show me their right wrists, pulling up their sleeves to show my Dad's watches that he left to the boys.

"Come on then, we better go" Drew sighs as he talks.

I don't think any of us are ready for today, it probably hasn't hit any of us just yet but it's something we need to do because we owe it to our parents to send them off in the right way.
