Chapter Fourteen

A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Fourteen. Picture of Peter ^^^^

----- Reece's P.O.V -----

When I went to book my flight, I couldn't get one until like ten that evening which I did book but I won't be arriving in the U.K until lunch time. Which isn't too bad, I just would've liked to get one a bit earlier but the earlier flights were already booked up, I guess that's what you get for booking a last minute flight.

My little sister was a bit upset when I told her that I was going away for a few days, she doesn't like it when I go away but she has gotten used to it over the past couple of years.

I do feel bad for my sister at times, she doesn't deserve to grow up like she is but she never seems to mind. She is such a genuine and grateful kid, I am proud to have her as a sister because I honestly couldn't imagine her being any better – she's got all the qualities that I don't have.

To her, I am the best big brother she could ever have but to the rest of the people that know me, I'm just the reckless kid that doesn't give a crap about anyone and they're right.

I managed to pack everything into one suitcase; I have my suit, basic t-shirts and trousers, and other essentials whilst my carry on is my backpack with my cigarettes, phone, charger and all that type of stuff in it.

I've never really minded flying, I find it quite relaxing but I don't really enjoy the looks that I get from some people when they see what I wear and my tattoos.

They just assume that I am a horrible person, and sometimes I am but I don't think that's all I am, well I like to think it isn't.

It is the same at school, they're right with what they think about me but not all of the stories that they spread around are true. There is truth to them, of course, but not every single detail is honest and some of them are completely fabricated.

When I said to Hannah about it being her choice on whether or not she believes what she hears, I completely meant it. I am not going to try and convince her that they're not true, as it's likely that they're all being said in her ear every five minutes and I don't want to make her feel awkward around her friends by her ignoring them or something.

I was pretty pissed when Justin told me about what that soccer kid was saying to Hannah – it's not that he was lying as such, people don't like me and I am not a good guy but the people that actually take the time to get to know me will realise that I have done some bad things and I am involved in a whole lot of shit, but I am a good guy when I want to be.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the air hostess appearing at my row, I was lucky enough to have a row to myself which is actually strange to have but I guess it was due to it being a late flight.

I take my ear phones out and look up at her "We'll be landing in a few minutes, so could you put your seatbelt back on please?" she asks, motioning to my unbuckled seatbelt.

I nod in acknowledgment "Oh yeah, sorry. I didn't hear the thing 'cause of my music" I quickly come up with an explanation, and she smiles at me before continuing to walk down the aisle.

Soon enough, the plane lands and everyone makes a move to grab their things and get off of the plane. I follow suit, grabbing my backpack from the overhead locker before starting to walk to the front of the plane.

There's an air bridge attached to the plane, so everyone walks through the bridge and gets to the bit where you've got to wait for your bags to come through.

Whilst waiting for my bag to appear, I pull my phone out of my pocket to text Drew as he still said he'd pick me up so that we can surprise Hannah.

To Drew: Hey man, just landed in Birmingham. Waiting for bags now, then going through security.

Just after I send the text, I look up and see my suitcase going past so I have to push through a couple of people to make a move and grab it off of the carousel.

Before I go to walk through to the security part, my phone vibrates so I know I have a reply.

From Drew: Alright Reece, I'll head out now. I'll meet you in the arrivals area.

After reading the reply, I put my phone away and head for the bit of security where they have to check your passport.

I get my passport out of my backpack, and for lunch time the airport actually isn't that busy which is surprising but then again, I have never been to this airport before.

A lady motions for me to go over to her, and I hand her my passport after pulling my suitcase up next to me.

She looks at my passport and then to me "Did you have a good flight?" she types away at her computer as she talks to me.

I nod in response "Yeah. It was a good one thanks" I tell her, with a slight smile on my face.

She looks back to me "Can you tell me the reason for your trip today? As you haven't travelled out of America since 2006" she tells me.

"I've come to visit one of my friends, who lives out in America near me. She's come home for a funeral so I'm kind of moral support" I explain cautiously, thinking of the best way to explain everything.

She nods at me, handing me back my passport with a smile on her face, "Have a nice trip" she states.

I leave that part, and walk through security without any problem which is always good – I doubt anyone wants a problem in security, let alone after a fourteen to fifteen hour flight.

Going out into the arrivals gate, I look around for Drew until I see an arm waving madly which turns out to be Drew dressed in winter clothing so I am assuming it's cold out.

I make my way over to him, and he shakes my hand when I reach him before offering to take my suitcase from me which I decline.

"How was your flight mate?" he quizzes, as the two of us walk towards the car park.

I shrug "It was alright, I kept getting questioning looks from this couple that was probably a few years older than you" I explain.

Drew laughs and rolls his eyes "Let me guess, judging a book by its cover" he suggests causing me to laugh also.

I nod in confirmation "Exactly that. Like gees, I get I've got tattoos and all but don't be scared of me – not unless I give you a reason to be" I agree with him, joking a little at the end.

He laughs again, and we reach the car. He pops the boot and loads my suitcase into it, before I get into the passenger side which is strange as this side should be the driver's side.

Drew gets in next to me "I don't like your cars" I state making him chuckle before he starts up the engine.

Let's attempt to surprise this girl.
