Chapter Five
A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Five. Picture of Tyler ^^^^
----- Hannah's P.O.V -----
My day, surprisingly, had been going well despite it only having been one hour of a lesson and a fifteen-minute interval this morning as I wasn't in my tutor class.
However, for some random reason, Lewis showed up at school and decided to pick me up from school to take me home.
I have no clue why he has come to get me; I don't even want to think about how Dean will react as he was well excited for me to be starting at school and then his husband appears before my first lesson actually finished to take me home.
We're now back at home, and I am sat on the couch whilst staring at Lewis because I want him to explain why he came to get me from school.
Lewis has been avoiding my gaze by looking at his phone, but when he looks up I smirk "Will you stop giving me the creepy Masterson stare?" he asks helplessly.
I shake my head and cross my arms "Explain in-law. Why'd you come get me?" I quiz sternly and he sighs.
"I looked the schedule up online" he states and I let a confused expression cross my face, as that doesn't explain anything, he sighs again "Because one of the parents at Lana's pre-school has a kid a couple years younger than you, and they were saying how there was going to be a really long assembly today which was about some boring ass stuff and I figured I would get you out of it, 'cause who wants that on their first day" he explains.
I laugh at him and he starts to laugh along with me "You are so going to get it when Dean comes home" I tell him whilst smiling.
Lewis smirks and nods "I hope so" he says and I realise the innuendo behind what I said, causing me to groan and hide my face behind my hands as Lewis just laughs.
"You are so perverted" I screw my face up in mock disgust as I talk.
He doesn't pay any attention to me but laughs and sticks his tongue out "And yet you still love me" he says in a sing song voice whilst staring at his phone "Well how was it then H?" Lewis asks, actually looking up from his phone, "Any new friends? Cute guys?" he quizzes with a smile on his face.
I roll my eyes and laugh "You've gotta give me a chance Lew – I was there for a total of an hour and fifteen minutes" I tell him.
He laughs and gives me a knowing look "I bet there was at least one cute guy" he says and then laughs again when I don't answer him "So there was a cute guy!" he exclaims as if he has discovered something that is unbelievably ground breaking.
"Fine! There was a cute guy" I admit and Lewis starts laughing like a weird evil mastermind, as well as tapping his fingers together "You are so weird" I tell him.
Lewis shakes his head "I knew you would fit in immediately, and now you've got something to look forward to tomorrow" he explains to me, and gets up to walk over to me on my sofa.
He collapses down next to me, throwing his arm around my shoulder and I cuddle up to him "I am still nervous though Lew, I was only there for an hour and sure I spoke to someone but that doesn't mean anything" I explain to him bluntly as saying it out loud means that I won't get my hopes up for anything.
Lewis sighs and kisses the top of my head "You don't need to be nervous H, I know that may seem easy for me to say but I know how you're feeling" he tells me softly "It does take a lot to start somewhere new, especially like you are because you're in a whole different country and this is the very definition of a fresh start" he says, laughing a little at the end "And you are doing amazingly so far, we all love you Hannah and if you ever need to tell us anything then go for it" he kisses the top of my head again as he talks.
I smile and pull away from Lewis to look up at him "I love you too Lewis, thank you for taking me in like this" I thank him and I mean it so much.
Lewis returns my smile "You don't need to thank me for that Hannah, you are my sister and I love you. There was never a second thought about you coming to live with us" he tells me.
The two of us stay like that for a bit, just watching tv and not doing much else. Then Lewis gets a call from his boss, he works from home, that he needs to go into the office for an important meeting so he has disappeared.
Lewis does work from home, and he's allowed to do that due to him being high up in the company so they don't mind if he works from home but if they need him then he's got to get all smartly dressed and go into the office – it's really strange seeing Lewis in a suit, even though I should be used to it.
As I am watching tv, my phone goes off with a text tone.
From Unknown Number: Hi Hannah, it's Tyler. I got your number from one of the receptionists.
I don't have a clue why Tyler has texted me, plus why on earth would a receptionist give another student someone's phone number? Isn't that kind of bad?
I quickly add Tyler's number to my contacts, as I don't want to have a conversation but then forget who it actually is and end up scrolling though the conversation to find where the name is.
To Tyler: Hi Tyler. If you don't mind me asking, why did you get my number?
From Tyler: I have work for you. After the assembly, we went back to classes, and a couple of my teachers were asking where the new girl was due to her being in those classes, so I said I knew you and could give you the work that you missed at some point.
To Tyler: That's kind of a spooky coincidence, isn't it? But thank you, I really appreciate you getting work for me. It's my first day and I disappear after my first lesson, what a great reputation I am making!
From Tyler: You're welcome, glad I could help out. You're making a fine first impression, trust me.
To Tyler: Shouldn't it be lunch time now? I don't want to pull you away from your friends or anything.
From Tyler: Don't be silly, lunch is boring anyway. I actually wanted to ask you about something.
To Tyler: And what would that be?
From Tyler: I'm on the soccer team at school, and we have practise tonight, so I was wondering if you wanted to come down and just sit in on it? You can meet a load more people, and chances are at least one of us will be in each of your classes.
I smile at Tyler's text; I have known this guy for just under an hour and he's already inviting me to meet his friends? I don't know if that's classes as just being friendly or outright flirting.
To Tyler: That would actually be really nice, thanks. When is it?
From Tyler: School finishes at three, so it runs from then till half four.
To Tyler: Sounds good, thanks again for inviting me, I really appreciate it.
From Tyler: Stop thanking me so much! The soccer field is around the back of the sports hall, and you can't miss the sports hall when you get into the car park. Look for the bleachers, and you're all good.
To Tyler: Okay, well at least I am getting a head start on finding my way around the outside of the school.
From Tyler: You'll get used to it within this week, I'm sure. I'll see you at three Brit.
Brit? Really? Well, I guess all nicknames have to start somewhere.
I do need to tell someone that I will be going out though, I know that I can walk to the school so getting there isn't a problem but I should probably text Dean – he's at work but by the time I go out he will have seen the text.
