Chapter Eighteen
A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Eighteen. Picture of Reece's tattoos ^^^^
----- Hannah's P.O.V -----
Scattering the ashes meant that we could officially say goodbye to my parents, not necessarily to leave them behind but to accept the fact that they are gone.
The way they passed away sucked, and I can't change that, but I am going to make them proud of me in any way I can.
It is time for the wake now; it is at a golf slash country club type place, my Dad played a lot of gold with my Uncle and our family friends, so we got to know the owners and the staff there pretty well.
My brothers and I practically grew up at this place, all of us have worked there and I was working there up until I had to move. I really enjoyed working there, it was a laugh and I was sad to leave but they threw me a leaving party which was proper sweet.
We had to rent taxis to take us to the wake as the funeral directors had to take the cars back, which is completely fine as none of us minded grabbing taxis.
We've been here for about fifteen minutes, and Reece has taken his suit jacket off as well as rolling up his shirt sleeves so a lot more of his tattoos are visible which I don't mind at all, I like his tattoos.
Reece looks down at me and nudges me slightly "I'm going out for a cigarette" he tells me, nodding towards the decking outside that overlooks the golf course as well as a very impressive lake which is so beautiful.
"I'll come keep you company" I chime in, making him smile but he takes my hand anyway and we walk outside.
The two of us stand by the fence, Reece puts his free arm around my shoulder as he has his cigarette in the other whilst I put mine around his waist.
I look up at him and he turns to face me "Why do you smoke?" I question, and he sighs.
"I don't smoke very often, it is probably twice a day if that" he tells me and I shake my head, causing him to sigh again "I smoke because I like it and it is relaxing, I get stressed a lot" he explains.
I nod in acknowledgement, "You don't seem like you get stressed though" I state in confusion.
He laughs dryly "Once again London, there's a lot you don't know about me" he has a slight smirk on his face as he talks.
"Will I get to learn?" I ask with a smile.
He smiles in response, kissing my forehead momentarily, "If you stick around for long enough" he responds in a soft tone.
----- Drew's P.O.V -----
Today has been one of the hardest days that any of us have had in a while, probably right on par with the day we found out they had died.
Me being the eldest, I can't leave my sister without someone, she is the main girl in my life and she always will be so seeing her completely break down earlier was one of the worst sights I have ever had to deal with.
I know that Dean will be fine, we have always been close and there's like this unspoken pact between us that we stay close for Hannah – we support Hannah no matter what, and we will be there for Hannah for as long as we can.
Some siblings aren't as close, but we kind of have to be. We don't have our parents and I am not prepared to not have my family.
I can't help but smile as I see Hannah interact with Reece – when I met him at the game a few days ago, I knew that he was a good guy, the way he immediately introduced himself to me and made sure to shake my hand, it made me realise that he has been raised by good people.
The tattoos didn't actually phase me, I appreciate good tattoos as I have some myself so I see no problem with him having a few.
When Reece rang me, and asked if he could come and see Hannah in the U.K, I didn't know what to say. I never imagined that a guy that has known my sister for just over a month and a half would want to fly for fifteen hours just to support her, it was impressive to say the least.
I feel someone tap me on the shoulder, so I turn around to see my cousin Kyle who is the same age as Lewis.
He smiles at me and pulls me into a hug "How you doin' Drew?" he quizzes, before taking a sip of his beer.
I shrug "I'm doing good, it's my sister I'm worried about" I tell him honestly.
He sighs and glances behind me momentarily, seeing Hannah outside with Reece, "I meant to ask, who is that guy with Han? He's been holding her hand all day, didn't think she'd go for a lad with tattoos let alone a smoker" he does look worried about Hannah as he talks to me.
"His name is Reece" I state and he nods in acknowledgement "She met him at school, out in L.A, and he proper cares about her. Kyle, he flew out from L.A to here because he wanted to check up on her" I explain.
He smiles "He's got it hard for her" he comments causing me to laugh "He just doesn't seem like Han's type – I mean, I know she wanted a tattoo but going for a guy with two full arms of tattoos, plus however many more we can't see, it's a bit extreme for her" he tells me.
I look back at Hannah and Reece momentarily, he's looking down at her and laughing as she hugs him, and I then turn back to my cousin "Don't let the tattoos fool you Ky, he's a good lad and mate, I don't mind him with Hannah" I explain to him making him laugh.
"D, if you don't mind a lad around Hannah then you've gotta think he's chill" he laughs as he talks but I nod in agreement.
There's bound to be something we don't really like about Reece, but right now he's chill and I'm glad Hannah has him.
----- Hannah's P.O.V -----
It's nice to be spending some time with Reece that isn't at school with Tyler telling me what I should and shouldn't be doing.
Reece has finished a cigarette so we're heading back inside now, "I'll go and get some drinks, what do you want?" he questions as we end up standing in front of the bar.
"Just get me a water please" I answer and he nods, squeezing my waist gently before going to stand at the bar so I head over to where Drew is now talking with some of our family friends.
Drew smiles at me, and kisses my cheek, "You good Sis?" he quizzes and I nod in response.
"Yeah, Reece is getting a round so do you want anything?" I ask but he shakes his head, holding up his pint causing me to laugh and roll my eyes.
I turn my attention back to our family friends, well they're more Drew's best mates and their younger sister that doesn't really like me all that much.
Before I have a chance to talk to them, I feel an arm wrap around my waist and I am handed a water "Here you go" Reece tells me and I smile up at him.
I lean into him slightly, and this girl just looks at me expectantly "This is Reece" I introduce him and Reece smiles at them all.
"So, Masterson" Drew's best friend Grayson says, making me look to him, "What's it like out there in America?" he asks me and I smile.
I shrug "It's pretty nice, I mean it's a whole new thing to get used to considering everything that is different but I am enjoying it" I explain.
Reece chuckles and I look up at him "Oh come on London, it's great for you because I'm there" he jokes with a smirk on his face.
I laugh as does Drew "I gotta be honest mate, I'm glad you're here" Drew says to Reece, making Reece nods in a form of respect.
I'm glad Reece is here.
I am happy and I know my parents will be smiling down at this guy that cares about their daughter.
Well, I hope my Dad isn't seething too much – or yelling at Drew to be more protective.
