A/N – Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Eight. Picture of Beth ^^^^

----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

Despite having never gone to school with Tyler before, it has actually been quite entertaining. I have only known him for around a month and a half or so, but it honestly feels like I have known him for years.

If I am being honest, that's how it feels with Beth and the three guys. They're such lovely people, and I am glad that I haven't listened to what people say around school as I have made my own opinions of the 'bad boys' of the school even though not all of them are conversationalists at the best of times.

It's strange because I definitely didn't think that I would get along with people so quickly let alone feel as comfortable as I do around them.

The main reason I got to know Beth in the first place is because she's in my art class – she is in the year, or grade, below the whole of the year I'm in.

The whole year to grade thing has confused me, considering I am used to referring to different age groups within school as years like Year 11 in secondary school or Year 2 in infant school. Whereas here, it's completely different so it's yet another thing for me to get used to.

Beth is insanely talented with art, so she got moved up a grade in that class which means she has to be in the class with the seniors and I don't think she minds it – I am glad I got to know her through it all though.

Tyler has just pulled into the school car park, and we both get out of the car before we walk over to where the team is standing.

Once we reach them, I notice Beth standing with Reece, Justin and Zach by where the lads park their bikes. Beth makes eye contact and smiles at me.

I turn to Tyler, and tap him which causes him to wrap his arm around my shoulder and look to me "I'm going to go and talk to Beth" I tell him.

Tyler looks over at where Beth is and then back to me "Alright Brit, leave your stuff here if you want" he suggests so I nod, and place my backpack by Tyler's duffle bag which has his kit in it.

All of the team smile at me before I disappear to go over to Beth, and she hugs me as soon as I reach her "Hey you" she greets me with a massive smile on her face.

"Hi to you too" I say in response to her "And to you three" I look to the three lads as I talk, both Justin and Zach smile slightly in response whilst Reece just glances at me but has a small hint of a smirk on his face.

Zach moves to pull Beth into a hug from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist, "How are you Hannah?" Zach asks.

I move to lean against Justin's bike causing him to gasp but he leans next to me anyway "I'm good thanks, definitely getting used to the set up here" I explain.

Justin chuckles and Reece looks to me "You're definitely fitting in here London" Reece states with a smirk on his face.

I roll my eyes at him "Not every single British person is from London, California" I respond with a nickname of my own and he laughs – the first genuine laugh I have heard from him.

"I think you've met your match Reece" Beth speaks up from her spot in front of Zach.

Reece glares mockingly at Beth, before grabbing his bag and helmet and walking into school "Well to respond for him, you're the one new person to joke around with him" Zach explains causing me to smile.

Just as I am about to answer, I hear a high-pitched whistle which makes me turn around and I see Tyler looking over "Come on Brit!" he yells.

Beth moves away from Zach to hug me, and she smiles at me "I'll talk to you later, okay?" I suggest and she nods in agreement.

"I'll see you in tutor Hannah" Justin tells me and I smile before nodding, and walking over to where Tyler is still with the rest of the team.

Tyler hands me my bag once I reach him, swinging his arm around my shoulder "Why were you with Eden and his gang?" Darren queries.

I hear Tyler sigh from next to me "Beth is in my art class, Justin is in my tutor and the three guys have lockers next to mine" I explain with a shrug "And his name is Reece" I state.

Darren rolls his eyes in response but Jason just laughs "The whole of the school knows his name Han, it's hard not to" Jason comments.

I sigh as I don't really know exactly what to say "I understand that I am still new here" I say to all of them "But what confuses me, is how a whole school can have something against one person" I voice the main thought that has been circling for the past few days.

Tyler sighs once again and squeezes my shoulder "Come on Brit, I'll explain as we walk" he tells me so I reluctantly nod in agreement.

We leave the rest of the team, and Tyler walks with me to my tutor room which is on the first floor of the school.

I look up at him expectantly "Alright Hannah, let me explain this to you" he tells me "Reece Eden isn't a good guy, as I told you on your very first day here" he states and I cross my arms "People don't like him, he's known for flipping shit at any moment and yet he's acting like he's all innocent when you're over there" he says as we eventually reach my tutor room "We don't want you getting into anything bad with him" he finishes his somewhat explanation.

As soon as Tyler finishes talking, Justin walks up and stands behind me thus facing Tyler "Look Elliot, I get that you and your lot have something against my guy and that's fine – not everyone will like everyone" Justin tells him, placing his hand on my shoulder "But just stop, okay? Reece doesn't need me defending him, but I bet your ass I will if I hear you bad mouthing him again, especially to this girl" he finishes speaking in a stern tone.

Tyler has a surprised expression across his face, "Alright" he states whilst he nods "I'll try to refrain from telling people about 'your guy' being an idiot" he mocks Justin, and I understand why but I don't want this to turn into a bust up or anything.

Justin doesn't respond to Tyler but steps to the side instead, and offers his arm to me "You gonna come in Hannah?" he suggests and I smile at Tyler briefly before taking Justin's arm and walking into the classroom with him.

Justin sits down at his desk at the back and I sit down next to him "What was all that about?" I ask once the both of us have dumped our stuff.

He clears his throat and crosses his arms "I know you probably don't want to hear more about this, but Reece is a good guy" he tells me in a sincere sounding tone "I am not going to lie to you, he has done some shit and he will probably continue to be idiotic but he has never done anything without a reason for it" he explains to me.

It's clear that Justin does care about Reece, I can tell that their friendship has been a thing for such a long time but I just don't understand why people have such conflicting views.

I get the fact that every school has some form of a bad kid, heck I had a few back at my college but it was never to this extent of the whole school staying away from the guy.

I run a hand through my hair and look over at Justin "So I move from my hometown to a completely new place and somehow end up in a weird-like turf war between the bad boys and the soccer team" I joke with Justin, he laughs at my comment and smiles at me "But honestly, I plan on getting to know Reece from what Reece tells me" I tell him.

Justin leans forward and hugs me for a moment "You're the first new kid to act like this, you know that?" he asks me rhetorically "You had to jump in at the deep end Hannah, with coming to this school, and yet you're defending someone you don't even know" he speaks in a soft tone and I smile slightly sheepishly "I don't say this to many people, but I admire you" his words do sound truthful.

I know that Reece has done bad things, if I am hearing it from his best friend then obviously, it is true.

I am well aware that if I get involved with Reece then there will be a whole load of backlash which part of me does care about and it worried but the other part of me is saying to go for it.

If I do think about it fully, I don't know that much about Reece that has actually been told to me by Reece. I would rather have him tell me about himself rather than the whole of the school dictating things.

These are the things that go through my head because I never thought a school could be like this, it wasn't like his at my secondary school or my college so it's the unknown of how to handle it or how to react.
