- Kim Jiyong's POV -

I lived in a household where blood would constantly stain the floors.

My sisters would be trained to be well-mannered women who will marry into a rich family in the future, while I was trained to become a strong man who will one day lead the gang.

But, my purpose was suddenly changed when Julien was brought into this world.

     "It's a boy!" I remembered everyone shouting.

I was six-years-old at that time when everyone in the household started going wild when the original wife gave birth to a boy.

The wife was never the nicest person, so I avoided her as constantly as I could. My own mother on the other hand was a woman that I never met, not even once. But it never really concerned me.

I knew the situation. I was a product of a mistress, so I never complained.

Thankfully the wife is staying here only until Julien turns one. Wives of the heads are not allowed to stay at the household, so I'm very glad we have a rule like that.

"He's so adorable!" I heard someone say from inside the room.

I was standing near the room where my new baby brother was born when one of the Elders suddenly approached me from behind.

"Looks like the household will be busy for now on," he tells me.

I looked at him and said, "Then I'll help take care of him."

The Elder laughed and looked at me like I was a fool, "Do you not understand your position now Jiyong?"

     "W-What do you mean?"

"You are nothing now, no value whatsoever. The real heir is born, and you cannot approach him, not even look at him, because you are not worthy to be-"

"Mr. Hans!" someone suddenly shouted from behind us.

I quickly turned around and saw my father approaching us.

I had to wipe the tears that were already forming in my eyes because father hated it when we cry in front of anyone.

"What the hell are you telling my son?" he angrily asked as he stood in front of us.

"The truth sir," he bravely answered.

I could see my father clenching his fist as he says, "Leave. I do not need Elders to manipulate my own son into hating his own brother."

The Elder smirked, but he doesn't say anything and just bows and leaves.

"F-Father...is it true that I am-"

"You are my son. My blood runs in your veins. I raised you right, so positions should not be a hindrance to you. Do you understand?" he asked me, and I quickly nodded my head as an answer.

"Good, now head back to the garden. Hana is playing with your younger sister."

My father and two sisters loved me and treated me well. But the Elders, or what we call as the wise men, treated me like dirt like how they treated Minji, who is also a daughter of another mistress.

My father hated them, but on the other hand he needed them.

They had power, knowledge, and connections. They're the reason why our gang is a strong one.

They made sure I never approached the heir, because they were scared that I'd end up killing him off, which I found impossible because there were no reasons for me to do so.

Moving forward to when I was 19 and Julien was 13.

He was already troublesome at a very young age. He knew how to hold a gun, and he definitely knew how to use it.

The Elders hated how he became. They thought they could manipulate him, but Julien was a boy the Elders thought wrongly of.

He was free spirited, and he listened to no one.

He was no doubt a terrifying boy who will become a terrifying boss.

"You dare defy me?!" I heard my father shout from his office.

I quickly peeked at the door and saw father slapping Julien right on the cheek.

"You killed four of my men for no reason. If you continue this you will be hated, and if you are hated your own people will plot your death!" father shouted at him.

I thought Julien was going to apologize, but instead, he shouted back, "I don't want to be the fucking head of the gang! What do you not understand!?"

"I do not need to understand anything! What you are to become is already decided since you were born!"

"Then I shouldn't have been born in the first place!" Julien shouted back, then he quickly runs out the door, leaving my father shocked on what he just heard.

When he went out of the room, he immediately sees me.

He glares at me, but I don't do or say anything.

There was blood on the corner of his lips; father must have beaten him again.

"You have a big responsibility," I tell him, shocking him since I never really talked to him before.

I took a deep breath and gave him my handkerchief, "But this world is cruel. If you continue to act in such a way, you will eventually be killed."

Julien stares at me and slowly take the handkerchief from my hand.

He wipes the blood off and suddenly hands the handkerchief back to me, "Then let them kill me."

Then he leaves without saying anything else.

It went on and on for years.

But when he reached 18, he became the boss who led raids and battles against other gangs. He became the Black Angel in front of our very eyes. He became strong and fearless, and the Elders hated him even more.

I knew, my sisters knew, and my father knew, that the Elders would soon plot something for his death. But when he reached 19, I didn't know it would happen that soon.

"It's tomorrow! I don't want to be married!" Minji whined while we were at the study room.

I just finished training some of the new recruits so I decided to join my sisters while they were studying.

"Oh yeah, your wedding's tomorrow. Do you want me to wear a traditional attire or a black suit?" I jokingly asked her, making Minji hit me with a book.

"If only a miracle would happen and the wedding won't continue," Minji says with a pout.

"We don't have a choice, we were fated to be married off to a wealthy family," Hana explained. Since she was the eldest, she was always the most traditional compared to the three of us, so it was easy for her to understand the roles that we must play.

"Like Julien's fated to be the heir?" Minji asked back, making Hana sigh.

"Like you, Julien has no choice but to fulfill what is destined of him. And as his siblings, we must do our best to raise him as a head that everyone will respect," Hana explained.

I chuckled and put down the gun that I was holding, "Well it looks like we're doing a terrible job with it. That boy grew up to be emotionless."

"Let's not talk ill of him," Hana quickly scolded me.

"Jeez, I'm not okay. I actually pity him. I was secretly sad that I wasn't going to be the head of the gang anymore, but looking at what he's become, I'm starting to feel glad that it never happened," I say.

Minji was about to say something when the head maid suddenly entered the room.

"You two, why are you still awake at this hour? Shouldn't you be asleep? Especially you Minji, you should be getting enough sleep for your wedding," she angrily told them.

"Sorry ma'am, we were just giving Minji some word's of wisdom before she marries," Hana calmly answered like a princess, and surprisingly the head maid believed her obvious lie.

"Alright, I understand that this will be your last night here so it's only natural that you want to bond as much as you can. But your father will scold me if he finds out you are still awake," she  tells us.

"We'll head to our quarters immediately. Good night Jiyong," Hana says as she grabs Minji's hand and leaves.

"And you Master Jiyong, if you don't mind, the study room will be closed," she tells me.

I stood up and quickly hid my gun back.

"Yes ma'am," I say with a lazy bow before leaving the room.

It was already ten in the evening. I wanted to walk around town but I decided that it's best if I just head back to the quarters and rest.

But as I was walking back to my room, I suddenly heard someone talking inside the Elder's office.

"It's working perfectly well. Julien has fallen in love with me. We will be running away after a few hours. Then I'll bring him to an abandoned place and kill him," someone suddenly says, shocking me.

But it shocked me even more because he sounded like...

     Oh no. That's Minji's fiancé.

"Good, you've done well. You'll receive the payment as soon as the deed is done," someone answers him.

They were about to leave the room so I immediately ran away.

"They're planning to kill him...they're planning to kill Julien," I thought as I decided to run towards my father's office. And as expected, father was still there, signing some papers like he always does.

"Father!" I practically shouted when I entered the room.

Father immediately looked at me, almost dropping his pen from surprise.

"Jiyong! What are you doing at this-"

"They're planning to kill him," I immediately tell him, and this time, father dropped his pen from shock.

"Where did you hear this?" he quickly asked me.

I moved closer to him and said, "The wedding the Elders arranged, it was actually a plan to kill Julien. The fiancé somehow seduced Julien, like...he made Julien fall in love with him, and tonight, they'll run away, then he'll kill him."

"Tonight?!" Father shouted as he immediately stood up from his seat.

"We need to go and tell everyone!" I say as I was about to run away from the room. But father immediately grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"No, if we reveal the Elder's intentions now, we will end up being in the losing end," my father suddenly says.

"But we can't just let them kill Julien!" I practically shouted at him.

"Go to the Elders...tell them you heard Julien's conversation with Minji's fiancé. Tell them they're planning to run away," he suddenly instructs me, shocking me even more.

"Father, Julien will be punished if we-"

"Do as I say, now!" my father shouted at me.

So I ran and told the Elders what my father told me to say.

They pretended to be shocked, and I had to force myself to not punch them by how they acted.

They soon asked me to summon Julien, the fiancé, and my father. And I felt so bad when shit went down.

"You have to execute him! He is a disgrace to our clans name!" one of the Elders shouted.

"Do you really want a heir who is disgusting and dirty as that?!" another Elder shouted.

"Enough!" my father angrily said as he slowly walked towards Julien.

Julien was kneeling on the floor, crying in pain. Not because they want him executed, but because the man who he loved just face-to-face lied to him.

"He forced me every night! I didn't know what else to do!" I remembered Minji's fiancé shout.

I stood there, trying my best not to put out my gun and shoot everyone inside this room. Hana, who was standing beside me and Minji, held my shoulder to calm me down.

"To hide the shame Julien Choi has done to the clan. I will execute him myself," my father suddenly says, shocking the three of us.

"You coward! You rather kill your own son than to make the Elders despise you?!" I shouted at him from complete anger.

"Father! No!" Minji shouted back, running towards father and begging him to change his mind, "Why would you do such a thing! You cannot let the Elders kill your only heir!"

"How weak! One more word or I will execute you too!" my father shouted, pushing Minji away and making her fall on the floor.

Hana immediately runs to her to assist her up.

"Good decision," the Elders said in victory.

"I will execute him tomorrow. Make sure no one will know about this man's mistake," my father says while looking at Julien. Then he takes a deep breath and leaves.

The Elders then looks at me and smiled, like they were thanking me for making their plans of killing Julien easier.

When the Elders left, I quickly ran to Julien.

His head was down as tears continued to pour out of his eyes.

He didn't want to look at us, because he knew that showing your tears is a sign of weakness, or so my father said.

But I pitied him, and now I pitied him even more.

Julien felt like no one loved him, the Elders made sure Julien felt like he wasn't loved, which was why we were never allowed to become close with him. They thought if he was filled with hate, Julien would be easy to manipulate. But Julien wasn't filled with hate at all, because he was actually completely empty inside.

How could the world be so cruel to him?

"Oh my little brother..." I whispered as I kneeled in front of him.

I slowly lifted my hand and patted his head, making him flinch, "You'll be alright," I tell him.

I quickly put my head down too because my own tears were now falling as well.

"Your big brother will take his revenge...I promise," I thought to myself but don't dare say out loud.

And on the night of his execution, father suddenly went to us. Minji and I were at Hana's room, trying our best not to break down as we waited for Julien's death. But when we saw the blood on the knife that our father was holding, Hana and Minji immediately started sobbing.

"How could you do this?!" I shouted at him.

"I didn't kill him," he suddenly says, shocking me.

Hana and Minji stopped crying and quickly looked at him as well.

But before we could even ask questions, father started talking again.

"But we need to hurry. I trained you three for this moment. Julien is heading to a van outside the gate. The van will bring him to the airport. Minji and Hana, I want you to make sure he escapes without anyone seeing him," my father explained, then Hana hurriedly went to her cabinet to take two guns. She gives the other one to Minji, and then they both ran outside.

"Father, what's going on?" I asked when we were now left alone inside the room.

Father doesn't answer and suddenly hands me another gun, "I should have done this a long time ago," he says as he runs outside as well.

I quickly followed him, and we eventually arrived at the Elders office. And just by being there, I immediately knew what we were about to do.

Father barged inside first, and then he started shooting everyone inside the room while I killed the rest of them, their blood splattering on my face.

When all the Elders were dead, father dropped his gun and fell on his knees.

"No one must know that Julien is alive. Chaos will eventually start after what we did, it's best if people believes he's dead."

"Yes father," I answered, and then Hana and Minji arrived, their clothes and hands stained with blood as well.

"Julien has safely left," Hana stated, catching her breath.

When they saw the scene, they weren't even shocked.

"What now father?" Minji then asked.

"Prepare yourselves. The real battle is about to begin."

     And so it did.

Everyone rioted and resented my father. He told the gang that he killed the Elders because they forced him to kill his own son. It was like revenge to the Elders for making him stain his own blood.

At the night we killed the Elders, I also went out to kill Minji's fiancé as a form of revenge on what he did to my brother as well.

But after all that, one by one, the gang started losing my father's trust. Out of thousands, we were left with hundreds of men on our side. But, while we waited for the perfect time, I renamed myself as well. I became the dragon, and men followed and respected me.

I gathered them all, because I knew that one day, there will be a battle where Julien and I must face together.

We didn't really know where Julien was, but we knew he was alive.

But when father was on his deathbed, he told us everything.

"A-A man...named Matthew K-King...I made a bargain with him. If I help him take his revenge, he will help me protect Julien. Julien is with him now; he is at a place called Club Luxuria. Find him...and bring him back home. I-It is time...the gang finds out...their true boss is alive," father explained to us.

I held his hand tightly as his other hand reached out for an envelope.

"T-two will & testaments...the first one you w-will read to the clan...t-the second one...you will give to Julien," father continued, "U-Until he is safe b-back here...no one m-must know a-about what...w-we have done."

And after a few minutes, his hands became cold, and he was eventually dead.

Hana and Minji then secretly sent me off after reading the Will & Testament to everyone. No one knew why I left, but everyone speculated that I went to kill my brother, when in fact; I was there to find him.

"This is the man, his name is Matthew King," Hana says as she showed me the picture.

"He owns the club, but in the morning he works at a company called Valentino Empire. We will try to contact him, but if we can't, you can find him at those places," Hana explained.

I took the picture and hid it inside the folder where the rest of the papers were.

"Will you be able to endure the battles here?" I worriedly asked.

"We can take them, do not worry about the gang. What you must worry about is Julien's safety," Hana explains.

"Alright, I will bring Julien back safely. I promise," I say as I bowed.

     "Please...be careful."

And with that, I immediately flew my way to America, bringing at least forty strong men with me.

When I arrived at the airport, a couple of men suddenly welcomed us. Hana and Minji didn't call to tell me that they already contacted Mr. King, so I was surprised that someone actually knew that I was coming.

"Kim Jiyong?" a man asked as he approached me.

I looked at him confusingly and asked, "W-Who...are you?"

"Welcome Mr. Kim Jiyong. Mathew King is not available right now, so while he's out, you will be at my care."

He has a smirk on his face that I clearly did not trust. But before I, or any of my men, could put their guns out, we were suddenly ambushed.

And that...was the last thing I could clearly remember.
