S.H.I.E.L.D had sent their two greatest and maybe even most loyal soldiers into a battle the refused to fight on their own. After asking their help, something they rarely did, the two American best friends took the mission as it was of great meaning for the Assassin.

They had to infiltrate a HYDRA base, because rumour had it new soldiers were trained and now ready for battle. Barnes took this rather hard, knowing how the soldiers got treated and how broken HYDRA had left them. Therefore he took the mission, though it would ask a great deal of him.

He hated remembering the past that Russia had laid upon him long ago. He tried so fiercely to forget what he couldn't. And even with his best friends help, it was almost impossible to go through. The worst moment was when the night had finally fallen, bringing memories of tortured and dying people into the mind of the broken soul.

He never let his friend know about this, as he didn't want anyone to think he was weak. Yet Rogers knew his best friends only soft spot, and it wasn't himself or any other person, it was HYDRA. They tortured him for so long that they had broken his almost stone heart. And every time that name was mentioned, Barnes would slightly start to breathe faster.

At first, the hero refused to let the assassin take this mission, though he knew that James Buchanan Barnes would not give up so easily. Set on it to infiltrate HYDRA, the veteran offered to do this mission alone, as he would save the soldiers from HYDRA no matter what.

Rogers than gave in and they were now on the rooftop of one of the biggest HYDRA bases in Russia. They were not allowed to kill or hurt anyone, as they only had to find one of the soldiers and take him or her with them, so that S.H.I.E.L.D. could find out what the enemy was hiding.

Barnes knew this facility, as he had trained here himself. It was the very facility he had been sent to protect for the generation of Winter Soldier, which did not went very well. The doctors had refused to try again, but those doctors had died, and with that, new geniuses took the task of making the best army ever seen. The most loyal soldiers, the most fast and best assassins the world had ever seen. And Barnes was the very first.

'You're uncomfortable,' Rogers said to his best friend. The brown haired soldier looked at the hero America knew and loved. His best friend was right, there did grow a strange feeling in the Russian's chest. Both of them looked at one another and Barnes realized how much he didn't know about this person, how much HYDRA had made him forget, and how much he hated them for it.

Without warning, he jumped down through a vent that made him land on the floor. He has infiltrated the building, and he knew that an alarm had been set off, so they had to be quick. He looked around for a person or anything at all, yet his quest remained fruitless.

The blue and red clothed captain followed quickly, landing gracefully on the floor, his eyes piercing through the dark corridors. Chills went down Barnes his spine, recognizing where they stood. They stood in the middle of the entire building, which was only a hallway leading to another room.

The assassin felt the presence of other people, but he couldn't really place them. And as he turned around to face the other way of the wall, he heard soft footsteps, very gently, so he jumped in front of his best friend, to protect him from the person hiding in the dark.

So this is the very first chapter from this book! It is very short, but it is kind of an introduction. This will be in a sort of overall P.O.V. or third person.
