I Want To Be A Hero

Izuku stared up at the large building, suddenly nervous. Past these gates was his final shot at his dream. The UA entrance exam. He exhaled a large breath, before stepping forward.

And then he tripped over his own feet. Not too good. Suddenly, he stopped midair. It couldn't be from any of the chemicals in his body, none of them behaved like that, so it must've been someone else's quirk. What he heard next only confirmed it. "Sorry about using my quirk on you without permission, I just didn't want you to fall on such a big day! That'd be a bad omen." Said a brown haired girl, who pressed her fingers together to release her quirk, setting Izuku down.

"Anyway, good luck in the exams!" She said, rushing off. Izuku merely nodded, smiling. She seems nice. Maybe we can be friends...

Izuku continued walking, eventually ending up at his seat for the written exam. Right next to his childhood "friend" Kacchan. Great.

Luckily, Kacchan didn't seem to recognize him, with his green skin.

Izuku went through the written exam faster than most other people there. He was alot smarter than his age level, having graduated all grades in his homeschooling. The only reason he was going back to high school was so that he could be a hero. Everything that wasn't academic, was something to do with either quirks or heroics, both of which being subjects that Izuku enjoyed. So, it was pretty easy in Izuku's mind.

However, he figured that the practical exam wouldn't be that simple. Even though he had gotten a hold on his new abilities, there was a good chance that they wouldn't be so straight forward in whatever UA would throw at them.

He was proven right when Present Mic started explaining the practical exam. There would be three different 'villains', which were really just robots that Izuku doubted he could take on. Each different type of robot had different amounts of points. There was a one-pointer, a two-pointer, and a three-pointer.

Then, he got interrupted by a blue haired boy, "Present Mic, there are only three villains that you mentioned, but this packet shows four villains! If this is a mistake, a school such as UA should be better than that!" The boy then pointed at Izuku, "and you, the green boy! You've been muttering during this whole exam! It's very distracting! If this is a joke to you, then you shouldn't be here!"

Izuku flinched at that last statement. The blue haired boy probably didn't realize how much those words would hurt him, but it only reminded Izuku of all the taunting in his past and how no one ever believed in him. He didn't respond, instead burying his head into his arms in shame.

This seemed to offend the blue haired boy further, "so now you're ignoring me because I called you out on your antics? Someone like that shouldn't even be able to come to the entrance exams!"

"S-stop it... p-please... I'm s-sorry about m-my mumbling h-habit... b-but you don't have t-to remind me th-that I'm a w-worthless nobody...." Izuku whimpered, causing the the blue haired boy to sit down with a small 'oh..'

<~~~>

After Present Mic had finished explaining the zero-pointer, they were released into the waiting area for the practical.

Izuku felt intimidated by the size of the place. If it was so big, just how big were the robots? He was so tiny in comparison, and those robots had pure, destructive power-

He felt a hand on his shoulder, and instinctively pulled his shoulder away, turning to look at whoever touched him. It was the blue haired boy again. "O-oh.. hi.." Izuku mumbled.

"I'm sorry about before, I didn't mean to make you upset, I just-" the boy started, only for Izuku too cut him off, "-thought that my muttering was annoying? Yeah, I understand... I'm just a bit emotional, is all. No hard feelings."

The boy nodded, "good luck on the exams, then!"

"You too!"

"AAAND START!!!" Present Mic's voice called out. In a panic, Izuku started running forward, gaining a head start. "C'MON! GO GO GO!!! THERE'S NO COUNT DOWN IN BATTLES!! LOOK AT THAT KID!!!" Present Mic yelled.

Then Izuku was surrounded by one-pointers. He went up to one, and wrapped his now blob-like arms around its neck, and squeezed it until the head popped off.

He stretched his blob arms out, smacking the power sources of the robots.

He continued on like this, finding ways to hit the power sources, earning him points from shutting the robots down.

It was easier than he expected, although it was still incredibly difficult. Not that he was to surprised. This was UA after all. Aka the most prestigious hero school, and hardest to get into. And Izuku only had a few months with his new powers.

After awhile, the zero pointer appeared. It was bigger than most of the buildings, and much more destructive. Everyone was running away in a stampede, and Izuku was about to join them. But then he heard a cry for help.

He turned his head to the sound. That's the floaty girl from before..! She's trapped under rubble!!

Without fully thinking, Izuku ran over to help her. Izuku tried to pry the rubble of off her, but he wasn't strong enough. "Hey.. do you think you can use your quirk to make this.. lighter?" He said, still pushing with all his strength.

The brunette nodded, "I think so.." She then touched the rock with all five fingers, making it much lighter. Izuku then managed to push it off.

However, the zero pointer was just about to crush them both. Quickly, Izuku picked her up, and put her on his back.

Then he started running as fast as he could, trying to get away from the robot.

The test ended, and Izuku collapsed with the girl still on his back. He was getting pretty tired, and he passed out, right before Recovery Girl could heal them.
