Goodbye, Siren Damian
Above the Surface of Atlantis
Time - nearly to Sunrise
In a matter of hours, the sun will rise and it'll be a whole new day. Just above the surface of Atlantis, the Batjet floats with the heroes who fell asleep while waiting. The winged alien Princess was curled up at the corner with her wings covering her like a blanket, Raven and Zatanna fell asleep with their backs leaning against the wall. The Dark Knight fell asleep on the pilot seat with his head hanging and Talia on the co-pilot seat.
Apparently they've been waiting too long that they fell asleep while the jet was on autopilot. The music of calm waves, the cool salty breeze filled the jet atmosphere which made their slumber even more peaceful.
Then, an alarm rang in Batman's utility belt which jolted his eyes open as he reaches for it half-awake. He pulled out a communicator which had Aquaman calling on the other end.
"Arthur, is everything alright?" Batman answers the call. "Why are you taking so long?"
"Yes, I'll explain later," Aquaman said. "Right now, prepare yourselves."
"We're ready. I'll give the signal anytime now."
With that being said, Batman shoves the communicator back into his utility belt. He got up and turn around as he claps his hand, waking everyone up.
"Everyone, they're ready!" He said while clapping.
Slowly everyone's eyes slowly flickered opened. One by one everyone woke up and stood up... but they were half awake except for Zatanna. She was fresh as a daisy.
"Zatanna," Batman called her to which she raised her head and look at him. "Wake them up."
Zatanna nod as she pulled out her wand and started waving it in the air. "Enoyreve Ekaw Pu! Eb Ruoy Tseb!" She chanted as powers flowed out from the tip of her wand and aimed at everyone present.
Shortly after, everyone was wide awake as if they never slept at all.
"Awakening spell." Zatanna proudly boasts with a smile "Never fails."
"Now, Aquaman's on his way," Batman spoke to get everyone's attention. "The moment he sends the signal, Raven, Havania, and Zatanna, do your thing."
"Got it, Bruce," Zatanna respond.
"Understood," Havania responded after Zatanna.
"Now, be ready"

{Damian}
Aquaman and I left Atlantis and is now swimming towards the target where the transformation process will take place. Before we left, I gave Mera a proper goodbye and thanked her for finding me again. Without her, as I said, I would've given up in the dark zone. Then I took the bag of gems and together with Aquaman, we left.
"Okay, Damian." Aquaman stopped for which I assumed we've reached the target. Above us, I can a huge shadow and knew immediately that it was the Batjet because I've seen the jet one too many times to recognize its shape.
"They're up there?" I looked at the Batjet.
"Yes," Aquaman said. "Right now, I'm going to tell you specifically what to do in order for the transformation to go smoothly... and successfully.
"From a distance, I'll use the trident to remove your siren abilities. The moment your ability to breathe underwater is gone, you'll have to swim as fast a possible towards the jet. That's when Raven, Zatanna, and Havania will do their spell on you."
"I have a question." I interrupted his explanation.
"Yes?" He asks.
"When I lose my siren abilities, is there a way I could get them back?" I ask.
"I'm afraid not, Robin." He said. "It's a one-way spell... and ones you're back to human, you'll never change back to a siren."
Not going to lie, I actually felt disappointed... even though I knew the answer from the start. I was hoping they would change me back to human but allow me to keep my siren abilities and change back whenever I want like some characters in a Disney movie... or at least stay human and keep my abilities because the abilities made me feel like I can be useful in battle for the Titans or to anyone who needs my help. Heck, I have the ability to heal others. That's something I received from people like Raven but never once give.
F*ck...
I have to say goodbye to my life under the sea and to my powers.
"You're having second thoughts?" Aquaman asks because he realized I was silent but lost in my thoughts.
"No no," I assured. "It's just... I really wish that I could keep my siren abilities."
"I'm sorry, Robin." He said. "Unfortunately, we're not in a fairytale movie where we can get anything without giving something back."
"This is real life. In order to get something, we must give something first."
"In your case, you have to give up your siren abilities to get your human form."
"Yes...... sadly, that's how it works in reality... cruelty, selfishness, greed, unfairness, and more shit." I said under my breath.
"Damian?" He asked in a way that he couldn't hear what I said.
"Nevermind," I replied. "Anything else I should be aware of?
"Keep in mind that the transformation is going to be extremely painful." He said. "You'll feel as if your scales are ripping apart, needles poking your flesh and many more."
"Of course it is. What's not painful in life huh..." I said. "Anything else?"
"No, that's about all." He replied as he aims the trident towards me. "Are you ready?"
I took my eyes off his and gaze down to my tail, watching it sway back and forth. Then move up to my scales, my hands as they lightly trace the gills under my chest and the side of my neck. My tongue gliding across my sharp teeth and inhaling water.
This is my last day as a siren... last day I'm covered with scales, last day with fins, a tail and the last day my body possesses abilities.
Well, the day was meant to come anyways so... it's been fun being a siren, -- it really has -- but now, it's time to go back to my real home.
"Ready."

It's time.
The king swam a few tails away from Damian and prepares himself. Shortly after, he aimed his trident directly to the merman when it began glowing. Then, its power started forming as it flows towards Damian.
The merman had his eyes closed when the powers of the trident surrounded him. The trident silenced his song and stripped him from every one of his siren abilities. Damian felt normal, no pain, no frustration, nothing. But then, when the trident's powers retreated,
in just a few seconds, he started suffocating because the ability to breathe in the water has been taken away from him. His eyes start to burn due to exposure to the salty waters. Waters then invaded in his nostrils and ears which made him feel very irritated.
He wasted no time as he started swimming towards the surface as fast as he can.
That's when the king fired a signal to the heroes above and then followed Damian.
Above the surface, Batman caught sight of the signal. When he did, he instructed the three magicians to take their position because his son is reaching the surface anytime.
When Raven spotted Damian reaching the surface, she activated her dark powers by bringing out her evil eyes. She had her demons under control so she'll stay in the right mind. She aimed her powers at him the moment he stuck his head out of the waters.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"
Robin started screaming in pain as he kept moving around trying to avoid the pain but Aquaman restrained him with a spell. As Raven was casting her powers on Damian, Zatanna stepped in and started doing her part. She closed her eyes and then reopens them and held both hands out towards Damian.
"Lacihtym erutaerc fo eht aes, detaerc yb nwonkun scigam, I dnammoc uoy ot nruter kcab sa Naimad Enyaw, nos fo Namtab! (Mythical creature of the sea, created by unknown magics, I command you to return back as Damian Wayne, son of Batman!)" She chanted as her powers began flowing out of her hands and onto Damian.
The winged Princess wanted a change of scenery. She got off her feet and flew out of the jet, as she was, the crystal on her staff started forming its powers.
She floated on the opposite side of Raven and Zatanna, with Damian inches at the bottom of them. As her powers flow out of her hand, the staff was on full power and began surrounding Damian just like the other magicians.
Three magicians casting their spell on the merman was causing him to feel so much pain that he couldn't help but to scream. His body began to transform which was a sign that everything is going on the right track. However, blood started covering the surrounding waters. His blood. He was in so much pain that words could not express it. Screaming wasn't helping to ease the pain at all.
Everyone kept their eyes on Damian as he was transforming. His fins started wilting, and his gills faded away.
his hands shrunk down to normal size,
a new set of teeth replaced his fangs,
his tail started splitting into a pair of legs, the scales on his body were replaced with human flesh,
The merman is now a human once again.
Due to the excruciating painful transformation, it caused Damian to go unconscious when the transformation was completed. When the three magicians called off their powers, he started sinking into the ocean but Aquaman caught him and both of them climbed into the Batjet.
Damian's body was fully transformed but the skin from his face to the tip of his toes was cherry red... the shade of red after the wound settles down.
"Lewot Revoc!" Zatanna made a towel appear with her powers and wrapped it around his body because he was fully naked. "There, at least now I can actually see him."
"Now, I'll replace the blood he lost with yours," Aquaman told Talia and Bruce as he approached the unconscious Robin.
Aquaman held two separate cubes that contained Talia and Bruce's both and activated the trident. He poured the blood over the glowing trident and then aimed it at Damian. By combining both together, the powers of the trident flow through his body and mended his unusual skin color and restored the blood he lost. "He'll be fine." He said.
After a while, the trident lost its glow, and Arthur had a peaceful expression, it was finished. Damian's body was back to his original skin color, and he is one hundred percent a healthy human again.
"Now, all he has to do, is wake up."
