"You doing okay?" Niel asks me.

I nod while wiping down the glasses. "Yeah, I'm fine."

"You seem... happy for some reason," Niel says then a smirk rises on his face. "Did you finally get a boyfriend?"

My face goes red as I shake my head to deny it. "No."

His eyes go wide. "I've never seen you blush. Aww you're so cute!!"

He squishes my cheeks. I swat him away. "Enough with the cheek squeezing."

"Who's squeezing who's cheeks?"

I look over and see Sasha and Connie there.

"Our little miss Amane over here got herself a boyfriend," Niel says.

Both of their eyes go wide. I shake my head.

"No, that's not true. I don't have a boyfriend," I say.

"So that's why they both left at the same time," Sasha says with a smirk rising on her face. "DID YOU GUYS HAVE SEX?!"

I sink down on my knees causing them all to jump around excitedly. I can't help but have a smile rise on my face. After breakfast, Eren and I spent the whole day chilling. He dropped me off home that night though since I had to work.I haven't talked to him since. But I'm still so... happy? Excited? I don't know what the word is to describe this feeling. The bell for the door rings so I quickly rise to my feet. Historia and Ymir walk in through the door. Sasha, Connie, and Niel make sure to fill them in, causing more embaressment from me. I notice Ymir's smile falter but it goes back on her face quickly.

"OKay guys, please stop telling people. I don't want something like this going around," I say. "Mikasa would murder me."

They all nod.

"We can't tell Jean either, he would be... upset," Connie says scratches the back of his neck.

"Well it's not a big deal, it ws just a one time thing," I say turning around.

I keep telling myself that, but I know I want more. But I don't want to get my hopes up. What if Eren only wanted to have sex? But he seemed happy. He even took me to his place, where he said no one goes to. He left the camp to come back with me. He said that there would be no point for him to be there if I wasn't there. That warms my heart and pushes away the insecurities. I just need to accept this happiness.

(After shift)

I finish cleaning up and I check the time. Already 9 pm. My curfew ended so I don't have to worry about going home at a specific time. Maybe I can go grocery shopping since we don't have anything at home. I change into my regular clothes and throw my bag over me.

"I'll lock up, Rin. You go have fun with your boyfriend," Niel winks at me.

I roll my eyes and wave bye to him before walking out. It looks like it's snowing. I walk down the street towards the grocery store nearby.

"Eggs, milk, chives," I count on my hand everything I need to buy. "Maybe some ramen."

"Welcome!" a worker says as I walk in.

I grab a basket and make my way towards the aisles. I pick up everything we need. I go towards the women section. My period should be coming soon, so I should stock up now. I grab what I need until I hear some familiar voices.

"I don't know what you see in her, Eren," Mikasa's voice says.

My eyes go wide. They're here? I need to get away from here quickly. But for some reason, my legs don't move.

"Are you guys like dating?" Armin asks.

A few moments of silence pass. I feel like it's forever though.

"Nah, we aren't. It was just a hookup so chill your tits, Mikasa," he says.

I feel a pang in my heart. Hookup huh. Their voices draw nearer until they make it to the aisle I'm in. I don't even bother looking over at them as I walk away. I hear Mikasa's laughs and Armin trying to calm her down as tears crowd my eyes. I make my way over to the cashier. She looks at me, surprised of my condition. Her eyes trail behind me and she notices them there. I notice her face harden. She starts to scan some stuff.

"That'll be $15," she says.

I sniff. "I think you forgot to scan some things ma'am, it was definitely more than that."

I look at her and see her give me a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry about it. I run the shop, I make the rules."

I smile at her kindly. "Thank you."

I hand her a bill and grab my grocery bags, starting to walk out, but I notice someone's feet get in my way. I look up and see Eren staring down at me.

"Rin."

"Get out of my way, Jaeger," I say trying to avoid him but he keeps on cutting me off.

"Rin, let me-"

"She said to move, sir. Let the lady go home, and if you kids aren't gonna buy anything, I'm assuming your here to steal. Do I need to call the cops?" the lady asks.

I notice Eren's face hardens, but he moves out of the way. I turn back to look at the lady.

"Thank you," my eyes trail down her shirt. "Cindy."

She nods. "No problem, hon. Have a good night."

I walk out into the cold and slightly shiver. I quickly walk down back towards my house. I can't help but let out my tears. The cool droplets run down my face and neck. A hookup. I should've expected that. This is what I get for getting my hopes up.
