Chapter 1: Routine
The family life. The excitement brought on by young love and energetic children fades into the mundane day-to-day tasks that are only disturbed by brief moments of change. These moments are few and far between, and can only add interest momentarily before they become part of a more exciting past.
Lafayette's days are different and yet the same. The same day to day life expected of a father of two, while still being different from days prior. Herc could feel Laf growing impatient, and the children had picked up on the change of mood.
Down the road and across the neighborhood, Alex and John were struggling to prevent their son from attempting to fight George Eacker on a regular basis, while John did his very best to keep Alex from spiraling into his work. The last few years had been difficult as Alex wrote his way deeper and deeper into depths of despair.
Then of course, we have Aaron and his wife, who were currently discussing with their daughter the results of her most recent exam, as she begged them to let her go to the dance with a particular boy named Aiden. In case you're unaware, Aiden is Maria's charming son who fell in love with Theo a million years ago when they were just a couple of little kids.
Maria and Eliza taught him to be well-behaved and kind. A true gentleman in every sense of the words. Of course, he got his competitive spirit courtesy of his Aunt Peggy and his manners as a gift from his Aunt Angie after her trip to America last summer.
And across the sea in France, a storm was brewing between Thomas and James, as they did their best to keep their son out of the mix. Thomas had developed a bit of a drinking problem, and James was more than tired of it.
Things were changing yet staying still.
What a fantastic concept.

"Cami sweetheart, we've talked about this. You can't drive by yourself." Herc attempted to reason with the teen.
"I'm sixteen, and I managed to get my license didn't I?" Cami said.
"Of course," Herc said " but you know you're Paps managed to get his license and he's a terrible driver."
Just then, a scoff could be heard and Laf was walking down the stairs with a laundry basket pressed to his hip. Enzo followed behind him, still in the process of buttoning up his blue checkered shirt. At the age of twelve, Enzo was finishing up my 6th grade. Meanwhile, Camille was a highschool student nearly done with her junior year.
Camille had plenty of friends, since Philip, Theo, Adian, and Amy all attended school together. They were all in different grades, but still managed to see eachother by matching schedules to the best of their ability and eating lunch off-campus together everyday at Lafs bakery.
Amy was the baby of the group, entering her sophomore year. Then there was Camille and Philip, the juniors. Finally Theo and Aiden were seniors, aswell as Camille's cousin Cameron.
Of course, we can't forget Camille's little brother Enzo, who's best friend lived across the sea in France. Enzo didn't really have any other friends though, due to him being "too mature" for his age. He and Peter has started a club two summers ago called Amerance Untied
Hercules finally got Cami to calm down and offered to drive her to school. Camille agreed, and Enzo decided to tag along. Thus leaving Laf alone in the house. It wasn't a sad sort of alone, but rather a sort of calming breath of silent air.
Anticipation was building as Summer approached, and Cami was preparing for Prom. It was a whoosh of emotions for Laf. His baby girl would graduate next year and his lil' man was a prodigy to be proud of. The world was spinning and seemed stuck all at once.
He could of never expected that this Wednesday afternoon would have so much in store. That what started as a peaceful day in early May would spiral into something else, and would launch an adventure nobody expected.
The phone rang.

My darling Welpers, I have returned. I never thought I would be back here but my little extroverted mind couldn't keep away from the social interaction. Also, I wasn't going to post this as it is currently but then...
Ya'll are ridiculous, but I suppose I love you.
Love,
Welp
