SANDY AND SODA glanced up when they saw us, and when Soda saw the look on my face he immediately jumped up. "Skylar, Sandy and I are back together."
My mouth dropped open. "Excuse me? I don't think I heard you correctly." I spoke in a sarcastic tone.
"You heard him." Sandy interrupted.
"Actually, I don't think I asked for your input." I sassed.
I could hear the others coming in the kitchen. "Ooooh cat fight!" Two-Bit yelled excitedly, holding two bottles of beer in his hands.
"Well I put my input in anyway, didn't I?" She replied while standing up.
"Skylar, c'mon just stop." Soda begged, looking at me.
"Wait, did you just tell ME to stop?" I raised my voice, slamming my fists on the table, like every Winston does when they're pissed off.
"You can't tell me to stop when you just got back with the person who literally broke you! You gave her everything and what did she give you? Oh yeah, that's right - nothing! You cried to me, I took you to a movie to cheer you up even though I was completely scared of the movie we were watching, and the night she dissed you, I went to her party with you even though you left me! If you want to be with her again even though she's going to hurt you go ahead, but just know you lost me. Good bye, Sodapop." I snapped and pushed through Dally and Pony. I slammed the door and ran to Sarah's house.
//
I JUST WALKED in since I always go to her house. I ran to her bedroom and when she saw me she frowned. "Skye, what happened?"
I sat down on her bed and told her everything. "I'm going to go over there and murder the both of them. Soda needs some sense smacked into him, and Sandy, well she just needs to be smacked!" Sarah yelled frustratingly.
After two hours of being at Sarah's house, I walked back home and saw Dally and Johnny on the couch. "Hey, you okay?" Johnny asked from the couch.
"I always am." I fake smiled.
"I about beat Soda and that Sandy girl both. I don't care if she's a girl." Dally seethed.
I chuckled. "I love you Dally."
"Yeah, yeah." He waved his hand, keeping his eyes on the television.
I went upstairs and when I got in my room, I closed the door and found my feet resting right in front of my drawer.
I slowly grabbed the leather object, opened it and smiled at all the words I wrote in there from over the years. It was my song book. Did I tell you I could sing? I got it from my dad.
He had the most beautiful, soothing voice. When I was little, he always used to sing me a song he wrote.
Looking through all of the lyrics inspired me to start writing another one. As my dad said, "If you're going through a painful or cheerful time, always write down what you experienced or how you feel, so later you can turn it into a beautiful song."
I grabbed the smooth pencil and started making marks on the white paper. Once I finished, I grabbed my dad's guitar and strummed the rhythm. When I got everything figured out, I sat down on the front porch and started singing.
[guys please read EVERY lyric. it's kind of like the main song for the WHOLE story, not just this particular conflict.
plus, this is the celebrity that plays, Skylar.]

I heard clapping and raised my head up. Dally, Johnny, Ponyboy, Two-Bit, Darry, and Steve were surrounding me. Steve moved and I saw Soda looking at the ground.
"How did y'all hear me?" I questioned.
"Well, you're pretty loud." Steve laughed, which caused me to glare at him. "Also, we live just across the street. Of course we're going to hear you."
"It was an amazing song. Did you write it?" Darry asked, looking at my pen and paper beside me.
"Of course she wrote it. She's like a freaking walking poet." Ponyboy remarked, which caused me to laugh.
"She got it from Dad." Dally spoke, "he always sang and wrote songs."
"Well anyways, I'm going to go." I excused myself and walked back inside.
I heard Steve say from behind me. "Yeah, you lost her buddy."
//
I HEARD A knock from my door and ignored it, immediately knowing who it was. The knocking sounded again and I huffed.
"Abs, it's Pony!"
I jumped out of bed and opened the door, letting Pony in. "What do you want?" I questioned, with my hands on my hips.
"Remember? We always watch the sunset." He replied, looking at my window.
"Oh, yeah." I grinned and opened my window, letting both of us climb out onto my roof.
When we got out, I frowned. "Aren't we a little late?"
The sunset was just a thin line now.
"Look down." Pony chuckled.
I looked down and saw Soda. I rolled my eyes. "Really, Pony? I thought you were my best friend."
"I am, but you got to hear this. Trust me, it's good." Pony smirked.
I rolled my eyes again and looked back down at Soda. "What?!" I screamed.
"I found something that you may want to look at!" He yelled back.
I jumped off the roof, which would probably kill a person, but I always used to sneak out when my mom and dad were still alive, so I'm used to it. I walked over to Soda and he had an envelope in his hand. I snatched it from him and opened it.
Dear Skylar, December 19, 1982
I'm supposed to give you this letter when you turn eighteen. If I even remember to. Our topic is to write about someone you care about and all the memories you share with that person. The first person I thought of was you. We've had many memories - swinging in the park, you singing me songs you wrote, breaking into the movies, eating at the Dingo and Jay's with Steve - and I remember every one clearly. You always know how to cheer me up even when I don't feel like smiling.
Your mom just died of cancer which was why I felt like I also needed to write this to you. You're the strongest person I've met. You're headstrong about everything, (and very stubborn) but I love that about you.
I just want to thank you for always being there for me. I'm probably the dumbest person ever, so I know when we're older I'll probably do something stupid to hurt you, but just know I'll always love you.
Anyways, I hope that you get this letter when you're happy and with me. Both of us still close. If we're not, then well, please change it. I'm probably miserable right now if that's the case. I love you, Blue.
Yours truly,
Sodapop Curtis
"You're not eighteen yet, but I figured you needed it." Sodapop smiled lightly through tears.
I didn't realize it, but I was crying also. "You're staying with her aren't you?" I asked, crying even more.
He hugged me. "Yeah, Blue. I am."
