Background story:

Nergal The Mesopotamian God of Death, War, Plague, and also the God of Underworld

He sometimes appears as a soldier or general who help a king to win a war

Or sometimes he becomes the one who starts a war or the reason for wars as he believes he is the symbol of destruction, he also once destroyed Babylonia

But that dosen't mean he will start a war on a small and weak human kingdom, village, or empire

More like the God ordered Nergal to start death and destruction as that way people will have more faith in the God who saved them

Nergal who have enough of being ordered to start a meaningless war without any kind of interesting stuff going on and that God just want the human to have more faith in them, and so he went on a rampage and most God can't stop him as Nergal is strong just as the other God of wars

Enki the God of wisdom's and creator of humanity and also Nergal friend advise Nergal to just go to the Underworld for now as God doesn't have much control over there, and the one in control there is only Ereshkigal

And so on a large banquet that was held for the gods and goddesses, Ereshkigal cannot come and so Enki told Ereshkigal to send someone else in her place to the party and to bring some of the food back to the underworld

One the banquets most God and Goddesses respect Namtar who was Ereshkigal Son and he can get in and out of the underworld as he wants which is why Ereshkigal send him

Although some Gods doesn't like the fact that Ereshkigal can't come here herself and some are somewhat insulted

Which made Namtar mad that they are insulting his mother

Nergal then went and get mad at some of those people too as Ereshkigal have a decent reason for not being there

Nergal and Namtar soon become friends and then Enki ask Namtar if he can tell his mother that Nergal is going to stay in Underworld for a while, and Namtar say yes

Later on Enki, Nergal with his Subordinate or Demon escort Nergal to the underworld, and with Enki help, they manage to avoid dangerous trap and path

Enki give Nergal a warning to not have any relationship that is more than just friends with Ereshkigal

But as Nergal spends his time in the Underworld with Ereshkigal and Namtar

Nergal fall in love with Ereshkigal and he also has a few father and son relationship with Namtar

One day Nergal confessed his feeling for Ereshkigal and then that night Nergal have s*x with Ereshkigal

Ereshkigal gave Nergal the name Y/n for showing that Nergal/Y/n is now her

A few days after that they were planning on marrying

But the other God and Goddess was not liking what happened

And Enki was a bit mad as his original plan was to control Nergal with Ereshkigal help but now it was broken

And so The God and Goddesses work together and forcibly kidnapped Nergal and imprison him

Ereshkigal who wake up seeing Nergal/Y/n was not with her on the bed and also nowhere in Underworld was sad

She was crying and crying

Until Namtar her son come and bring in information that the other God and Goddesses have kidnapped and imprison Nergal or his father so that he cannot rampage nor become trouble on their way

After hearing that Ereshkigal was really mad and she sent Namtar to meet the God and Goddesses to deliver a message threatening them that she will open the Gate of Underworld if they don't give her Nergal/Y/n back to her

And so the God and Goddesses released Nergal and give him back to Ereshkigal as they cannot let the Gate of the underworld open

And so since then Nergal or now known as Y/n married Ereshkigal and now known as Ereshkigal protector and also the God of Underworld

He was summoned on Chaldea althought his wish to grail was only to spend more time with Ereshkigal
