"Xiao Yu' First Impressions"

*The cameras begin rolling, Xiao Yu takes a seat as the interview begins*

Director: "Please introduce yourself for the documentary."

Xiao Yu: "Hello ! I am DI-V3RSE' Emerald youngest Xiao Yu. 大家好！我是迪维斯的翡翠老幺小玉。"

...

Director: "你对其他女孩的第一印象是什么？ 这个时候你离家有什么感想？" (What was your first impressions of the other girls ? What was your impression of leaving home at this time ?)

Xiao Yu: "第一印象 ? 我担心离开上海。 我的家庭非常传统，因为我哥哥对他寄予厚望。 我一直希望我的哥哥从来没有为此感到负担。 至于加入其他女孩，我承认我一开始感到害怕。" (First impressions ? I was worried about leaving Shanghai. My family is very traditional in the sense that my older brother has high expectations put on him. I have always hoped my older brother had never felt burdened by that. As for joining the other girls, I admit I felt intimidated at first.)

Director: "Which of the members would you say you bonded with first ?"

Xiao Yu: "I would absolutely say I bonded with Iris first. 他们都是外国人，也是小组中最年轻的。 我觉得她是第一个我能联系的人。(Were were both foreigners and the youngest in the group. I felt that she was the first I could relate to.) Is that weird ?"

Manager: "When I first met, Xiao Yu she was very passionate. It was abundantly clear that she belonged somewhere. 她的光环非常可爱和明亮。(Her aura was very cute and bright.) All adored Xiao Yu once they met her."

Iris: "Xiao Yu was like a breath of fresh air for me. I came to Seoul lonely & often felt misunderstood. She was the only one that could bond with me in terms of missing home. As well as feeling like outsiders. 내 여동생. 하하." (My little sister. Haha.)

Yunhee: "저는 샤오유가 저의 여동생 이슬이를 생각나게 하면서 그녀와 유대감을 형성했습니다. 그녀를 보호하고 싶은 모성애가 느껴졌습니다. 그녀에게는 너무나 순수한 것이 있어서 사람들을 끌어들였습니다."  (I bonded with Xiao Yu as she reminded me of my little sister, Iseul. I felt the maternal urge to protect her. There was something so pure about her that drew people in.)

Hyejin: "Xiao Yu was very playful. Upon meeting her I could sense she was exactly what our group needed. She is the foundation in my opinion. 주변 사람들을 더 잘하기 위해 노력하는 진정한 영혼. 남들을 쉽게 웃게 만드는 그런 사람." (A true soul who strives to better those around her. That kind of person who makes others smile effortlessly.)

Director: Why did you choose Xiao Yu to be a part of DI-V3RSE ?

CEO: Why I chose Xiao Yu ?  저는 그녀가 무엇인가를 증명하고 싶어하는 마음이 어느 정도인지 알 수 있었기 때문에 그녀를 선택했습니다. 그녀의 눈에는 단호함이 담겨 있었습니다. (I chose her because I could see how much she wanted to prove something. She had determination in her eyes.) Xiao Yu stood out in more ways than one which only benefited my idea for DI-V3RSE."

Director: "如果你能对自己过去的自己说点什么，那会是什么？" (If you could say something to your past self, what would it be ?)

Xiao Yu: "小宇，没什么好失望的。 你付出了一切，这才是最重要的。 你们现在交到了很棒的朋友，希望他们在未来几年也能成为朋友。" (Xiao Yu, there is nothing to be disappointed about. You gave everything your all and that is what matters. You've now made wonderful friends & hopefully they'll remain friends in the years to come as well.)
