A/n ok I know the title is lame but keep reading it's better than it sounds.

I fluttered my eyes open trying to wake myself up, the first person I saw was Cody, I smiled brightly at him, he's so cute.

"Good morning sweet girl" Cody said

"Good morning" I said I got up and gave Cody a hug. "I'll be right back I said I'm going to go get dressed and talk to my dad."

I went to the suite were dad was fixing his hair.

"Good morning Clair, I have another birthday surprise for you" Dad said. Once again I had an envelope in my hands and when I opened it, two tickets for a fashion show in Paris for this Thursday were inside.

"OMG, I so wanted to attend this fashion show for fashion week in Paris" I said

"I know that's why I got them"

"But wait why only two?" I asked

"Because you're eighteen now and you and a friend are allowed to go by yourselves."

I threw my arms around dad and gave him a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you dad, you're awesome." I said

Dad smiled and kissed the top of my head.
"I love you" he said

"I love you too."

I ran back to first class I wanted to tell Heather what had just happened and let her know that I was inviting her to the fashion show, since Gwen went to see wicked with me.
I was the happiest girl in the world I have awesome friends, an awesome boyfriend and an awesome dad, things couldn't have been better. I could tell that this was going to be the best birthday ever, which is what I needed since it would be the tenth birthday without my mom, but I wasn't going to let my past keep me from having an amazing birthday. I was about to find out how true my thoughts were for an awesome birthday.
