Chapter 13: Wicked
The next day was so long and it felt like forever. I was glad when the time was finally here to go see wicked. I went to change into my dress that Lindsay picked out and wore my hair into a bun. I asked Gwen if she could wear a simple, plain, black dress just for one night.
"It's like a rule to dress up when you go to a broadway musical or any musical" I said.
Gwen obeyed what I asked, (probably because I'm one of her best friends and it's my birthday (celebration) but I didn't really care why she obeyed, I was just happy to be having a fun night with my dad and one of my best friends.
"I can't believe this is really happening, if I'm dreaming I hope I don't wake up for another two hours" I said
""First your not dreaming, and second believe it." Gwen said. "You deserve this. This night is yours, it's all about you."
"Thanks Gwen" I said wearing the biggest smile on my face. Gwen was right I do deserve this.
Wicked was so cool, it was about the wizard of oz but it's the wicked witch of the west's story, and after seeing it I actually felt bad for Alphaba. ( the wicked witch.) All she really wanted was to be treated fairly and to have a friend. Then I realized that was probably why Heather and I get along so well, she just wanted a friend. I even found that Gwen sees the good side of Heather too. I told Gwen that exact thought and she couldn't help but agree with me too, but Cortney does have friends so why is she the wicked b**ch of the west. Perhaps she is hiding her true self. I don't really know but I still want her out of the game.
On the way back to the plane Gwen and I sang the songs from the show.
"I thought you hated singing" I said to Gwen.
"Well this is an exception" she said, then both of us burst out laughing.
"Yeah I guess so."
Gwen was totally right even if you hated singing, wicked was an exception. The songs were awesome,I even bought a CD to download the songs onto my laptop so I could transfer it to my phone. Everything was perfect in my little universe. I couldn't have asked for a better night in New York City and all because I have the worlds greatest dad.
"Thank you daddy for the best night of my life"I said.
"Your welcome Clair bear."
I dreamt about my perfect night, all night long. It was like I was reliving it once more and I never wanted it to be the end of the magic of the show, The beauty of the music, the friendship and romance, but mostly I wanted to remember how it amazingly wicked it was.
