Bonus Chapter: Once a Burromuerto, always a Burromuerto (Part 2)

Wide Awake----Katy Perry

Heather's POV

As much as I wanted to run away, run from all of this, I just stood there, very stunned.

Who would have thought that one Burromuerto would warn me from another Burromuerto yet they have the same manipulative blood that runs through their veins?

Jose was right all along.

God, I am such a fool!

I leaned on the door, pushing it open further quietly and watched. I had no expression, I had no reaction towards this. I have been hurt so many times that this has no effect on me whatsoever.

Sure I am mad, heck, I am furious but I have no feelings to feel anymore.

Hilda and Alejandro continued to snog their faces off and Alejandro slipped a hand under Hilda shirt, his hand crawling up her skin. Hilda moaned at the touch and began unbutton his shirt.

Still no emotion towards this.

"Will all the contestants report back to auditorium for their performances and all judges meet at the auditorium as well?" Chris' voice came through the speakers.

Hilda and Alejandro groaned and began to climb back onto their feet, not aware of my presence.

"Yeah love birds, you about done here?" I asked bitterly, making their heads jerk to my direction.

"Heather?!" Hilda exclaimed.

"How long have you been standing there?" Alejandro asked, his face flushing red.

"Long enough," I replied, avoiding eye contact.

I turned around to go back to the auditorium. I had just busted my sister and my arch nemesis sucking their faces off, yet I still felt nothing.

Actually, I did feel something. I felt hatred and bitterness towards the two and not the usual hatred and bitterness--it's gone to a whole new level that I never knew existed.

Alejandro's POV

After Heather spun around and went out of the room, Hilda and I looked at each other, with our eyebrows raised.

We expected rage, fury, tantrums- I mean, Heather was supposed to be mad.

But Heather didn't show any of that. She just acted like nothing happened.
Like everything was just fine.

I buttoned up my shirt quickly and made my way to Heather when a hand grabbed my wrist.

"Just leave her for a while. There's no point of her chasing after you," Hilda said from behind me.

I sighed in defeat. She was right. Heather wouldn't listen to me, not in this state anyways.

Hilda and I walked together to the auditorium but I went to stand with the other contestants as she went to the judges table.

I zoned out of the discussions held by the fellow contestants and my eyes narrowed at Heather, a confused expression written all over my face.

Why isn't she mad?

I looked at her and tried to examine her. She folded her arms, sticking her chest out, a bored expression on her face and her eyebrows raised.

She looked normal, why wasn't she angry?

"First up, Alejandro and Heather," Chris announced.

Heather walked swiftly to where the judges were seated and stood by, waiting for me.

I made my way beside her as she spoke.

"We will be doing an angry married couple," Heather informed the judges.

I glanced at the judges; Chris, Chef, Hilda. Those three were easy to woo but my brother Jose might be a problem.

Heather cleared her throat loudly, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, right," I said.

We acted out our little skit and by the time we finished, Chris and Chef were in hysterics.

"7 years?!" Chris asked in between laughs.

"That is just messed up," Chef agreed, clutching the sides of his stomach.

"Okay, okay," Chris took a few gasps of air. "Let's see the scores,"

Chef put up a 9, Chris put up an 8, Hilda put up an 8 and I dreaded what Jose would grade us.

He looked at both Heather and I with his eyebrows raised. He grabbed a placard and flipped it around to reveal a 10.

"Alright. So in total your score is 35. Great job you guys," Chris said, dismissing us.

Heather paced out and I followed her.

"Heather," I called out.

No response, she just turned a corner to go to the confessional toilets.

"Heather-" She slammed the door in my face.

I stared at the brown door and put my hand on it. I pressed my ear on the door, to try to make out what she was saying.

But I didn't hear anything. Not even a muffled voice.

"Heather," I knocked softly.

I could have sworn I heard a quick intake of breath.

"Heather I'm coming in," I opened the door handle and found Heather seated on top of the toilet seat, her face buried in her hands.

"Heather?" I closed the door behind me.

Heather did not respond but instead, she sighed.

"Heather?" I said her name for the fifth time.

Finally, Heather moved her hands from her face. I expected her makeup to be running down her face but there wasn't any. Her eyes weren't puffy at all, they were just blank. They had no expression on them.

"What?" She snapped.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"So you hunted me down all the way to the communal toilets just to ask if I was ok?" She laughed bitterly.

I had no response to that.

"I'm just fine. Can you leave now? You're lucky I wasn't using the bathroom," Heather replied.

"You are not fine. I saw you burying your face a few moments ago and you expect me to believe that you are fine?" I argued.

"Ha! Since when do you care if I am ok or not?" Heather shot.

She was right. Why do I care?

"Because you are my teammate, believe it or not so I have to know if you are alright," I shot back.

"Teammates? That's the only reason why you care? Do me a favor; go to someone who does care about you because I don't," Heather said coldly and got up.

My heart immediately sank and I felt like I was slapped in the face.

"Here's an example: my big sister. Get out of my way," Heather shoved me to the side and I fell on the floor.

I laid there motionless and saw her exit the bathrooms.

Heather's POV

Unbelievable.

Because I'm his teammate, that's why he cares?!

I have had it with Alejandro, he has struck a nerve there.

I went into the girls room which was empty. I changed into my pajama pants and a shirt as I went to the bonfire area to hear who won.

I didn't feel like facing anyone but I cannot appear hurt in front of that bastard Alejandro so I casually stood, leaning on a tree.

Speaking of which, I spotted him next to the fire, with Hilda straddling on his lap as he held her firmly, shooting her a flirtatious smile and she giggled like a high school girl.

"The winners are," Chris paused dramatically. "Nobody!"

My jaw dropped.

"What?!" All of us, especially me, exclaimed.

"Hold your horses. We are so tired of you little scumbags that we want all of you out of here," Chris explained.

We all cheered, but not me.

I was red with fury! How dare he bring us back to this show to kick all of us out? I was so close to the jackpot prize!

"McLean," I growled, raising my right fist in the air.

"Woah. Let me finish, would you? We are not giving you a vacation," Chris was interrupted by a wave of groans. "We are not kicking you out of the show and canceling it. It's still on. We thought you guys might be a little homesick so for the next 2 days, you'll go home,"

A wave of cheers erupted from the cast. I sighed and for the first time, I am so glad Chris is booting us off temporarily. I really need some time to myself and away from Total Drama.

"We will escort you to the boat which will be here in about an hour. You're leaving then, so go pack up and once you're done, your food awaits," Chris said.

Everyone was dismissed from the bonfire area to go and pack. I got out my red, velvety suitcase and began to toss my clothes in there.

Every girl was so hyped to be leaving the set for the next 48 hours and were planning what to do.

From what I could gather, people were having sleepovers at each other's places. I sighed for the umpteenth time today. For the next 48 hours I could see myself curled up in bed, snacking on junk food as I watch TV 24/7.

I just hope that Alejandro wouldn't come over to my place since I'm pretty sure Hilda and him were a "thing" now because the last thing I need is to walk into the kitchen to get some glass of water and find them making out on the counter. I remembered their position at the bonfire.

Another thing I don't want Alejandro doing in my house is that he will try to talk to me. I don't want to talk to him, that's for sure.

I'm just glad that Mum allowed me to have a mini fridge and microwave in my room because my mini fridge is stocked with food so I don't ever need to come out.

I also have an AC, a heater and a TV so I'm pretty much set.

The best thing I could hope for is that Hilda stays over at Alejandro's place. That would mean no Hilda for 2 days which would be the best thing that has happened to me in a long, long while.

Well, not the best. The best is if I got to witness Hilda pushed off a cliff by her "so-called-crazed-fans" and I was there with a camera and popcorn to record and watch the whole thing unfold.

I smiled at myself, imagining her screaming and wailing, moving her arms and legs frantically begging to be let down before she's thrown off the cliff.

Slamming my suitcase shut, I dragged it to the dining area where everyone was and sat down alone.

"Hey guys, lets have a party!" Owen announced.

"That's an awesome idea dude!" Geoff agreed.

"I'll throw the party. Everyone is invited. It'll be tomorrow night at my house, I'll post the details online," Owen said enthusiastically.

"Great,"

"Awesome,"

"Cool,"

Everyone was murmuring, getting excited about tomorrow night while I concentrated on my chicken wrap which was sitting on my plate.

Well if there's one thing I know I won't be doing, is attending that party.

"Coming through," Chris made his way over with a box of our phones in it.

Chris came round, giving us our phones and I was the last to receive mine.

"Okay," Chris clapped his hands, earning our attention. "Your boats are here, you have 15 minutes to evacuate. Have a nice 2 day holiday. I don't know about you but my holiday has already started. Oh Bethany," Chris called in a sing-song voice and a woman in a tight, red, short dress and stilettos sashayed in.

Loud wolf whistles were made as she made her way into Chris' arms. Chris snaked his arm around her tiny waist as they exited.

"Later losers," Chris yelled over his shoulder.

I snarfed down my chicken wrap and grabbed my suitcase. I exited the dining area before I was spotted.

I was so focused on not being spotted that I didn't notice Lindsay and our heads bumped together.

"Ow!" I wailed, rubbing my head.

"Oops! Sorry, Heather. Are you coming for the party?" Lindsay asked.

"Probably not," I mumbled.

"Why?" Lindsay asked, frowning.

"I got a lot of things to do," I lied, gritting my teeth.

"Oh, well, it's too bad. Bye!" She squeezed my body enthusiastically while I stood there, my arms pinned to my side.

Lindsay then bounced off calling Beth's name.

I stood there, frozen to the spot I was on when Lindsay hugged me. I was taken back by the action but somehow it made me feel better.

I walked towards the boat that had my name on it. The man leaning beside it scurried over to me, grabbed my luggage and moved it to the boat.

"Thanks," I muttered.

"Don't mention it," The man gave me a small smile.

I looked around the island one last time, hearing faint laughter coming from the hall. I could have sworn I heard rustling in the bushes but I dismissed the thought.

I looked at the glorious beach, remembering how much I would love to go there at a time like this.

My brows knotted and I scrunched up my face as I remembered the memories I had with Alejandro. The confessions I revealed to him and no one else.

Dammit, I shouldn't have told him. What was I thinking? This two-day trip will help me get my head straight and I'll come back here the way I used to be in Total Drama Island.

As I got into the boat, I did not bother to look back because, I was putting the past behind me. That is actually funny because the island is my past and it's behind me, oh never mind.

The point is when I return, I will start on a new page, and be the person I used to be.

A heartless, cruel and manipulative 16-year-old girl with a barrier in her heart to protect herself from others hurting her but instead would find every way she could to hurt them.

A/N: So this is part 2 of Once a Burromuerto, always a Burromuerto.

Thanks so much for the views! I'm almost to 1K and I believe that we can make it there.

I hope you like this Chapter. If you did, press the little star :)

Next up is Alejandro's POV.

And now, a message from non other than the host of the show: Chris McLean.

"Now that Hilda and Jose are in the picture, things are going to spice up than Chef's famous chili. What the contestants don't know is that we've stocked their houses with cameras so not as to miss the drama that goes on. What's going to happen? How will Heather regain her mojo? And more importantly, what's going to happen at that party Owen is throwing--which by the way, I have to go. Hopefully these questions will be answered in the next episode of Total Drama Reloaded!"
